People don't understand how time consuming it is to create content. It looks like all fun and games, but you're behind the computer for hours at a time. It doesn't take 5 minutes to edit a 5 minute video, it just doesn't work that way. I feel like bloggers and UA-camrs don't get enough credit for everything that they do, and people are so quick to comment that they're not working "hard enough." I saw the same comments about Felix (Pewdiepie) after everyone got ahold of how much he made last year. A lot of UA-camrs are still a one woman (or man) show. They film, edit, create graphics, write blog posts, take pictures, etc. Yes, it's a lot more fun than sitting in a cubicle but it doesn't mean that it isn't hard work.
SERIOUSLY, everybody here will take her freelance doing video anytime of the day.She can chill and relax anytime she wants unlike having an 8to5 job with physical and mental stress her life/job is a dream and doing video editing for hours you said is like a vacation for most of us seriously and we only get paid maybe not even 1/3 of her
cheche benny I've done both 8 to 5 jobs and also UA-cam. The hours I put into UA-cam go beyond a traditional 8 to 5 job. If you think UA-cam is easy, then go ahead and try it. Many people go into UA-cam with that assumption and give up within a few months. Building an audience (especially one as big as Jenn's) isn't easy at all. I've been making videos in my channel for two years in a row and I almost have 4k.
So proud of you Jenn. I remember the first time I stumbled upon you when you were still in Davis and now you're hard work and dedication is unfolding into many successes. Thank you for your hard work and keeping us in mind no matter how much more bad ass and well known you become!

Your day seems so chill. I get up early to go to work. I get in at 7:00 am and work as an English teacher in Elementary. Get out at 2:30 and at 3:00 I get into college and get out at 10 pm. It takes me an hour to get back home in the bus. Thank god it's vacations right now.
I think she just made it seem like that to make the video more enjoyable. Every video Jenn posts is like an indie short film. The editing is fantastic, the music choices are awesome, the transitions are effortless. There's just a style to it that goes beyond taking a camera around with you on your day.

I truly love your videos, I really do - I think they’re wonderfully edited and beautifully crafted, and I think you have awesome fashion advice and beauty tips (and I appreciate how articulate you are! It’s like a breath of fresh air listening to you). Watching your videos is a real treat, so thank you. However, recently I’ve noticed that most, if not all of your products and clothing that you show are very expensive, and I mean things that only very wealthy, upper class people can even think about purchasing. I understand that you don’t mean for us to copy your every purchase and style, and it’s more about inspiring us to translate it into our own styles, but nonetheless it feels a bit exclusive. I was going to put some examples of clothing or accessories (or even products) that you’ve included that are extremely expensive, but I figured you know already. I understand that you’re fully entitled to treat yourself to all these things, but honestly, I think that it would be nicer if you considered things that the general public, and your general viewers, can afford. I have probably watched them both dozens of time over already haha they are both so inspiring and taught me how great it feels to spend a day working productively in beautiful places like downtown could make working so enjoyable, i feel like i could accomplish anything! also, I have always had my eyes on my dad's old denim jacket but never had the courage to apply it to my outfits bc I didn't think it would look good on me. after watching that video, I used your tips and I wear it almost everywhere now! Everybody talking about how easy her life is.... First off your right. She does have a very privileged life experience But the thing is that I think she acknowledges that. That she has been very fortunate for the opportunities in her life. It's kind of annoying when people like her respond to the people who say that they have an easy life and say "no I work super hard I have so much pressure and my life has struggles" because first, everybody has struggles that's not a real defense reason. And no they do not work as hard as a lot of people in this world. A lot of people face real true struggle and pain and milking the struggles you have is in no way comparison to the people who have college degrees and work at Starbucks for 40+ hours a week to meet their basic living expenses. But I've never seen jenn complain about how hard she works and how she deserves everything she has because I think she realizes that a lot of her life she does owe to luck, timing, her beauty, and being able to pursue something she loves and having that thing (fashion and UA-cam) accept her as well( there are hundred are youtubers who have just as much skill and personality as her but have small followings and no deals from fancy makeup companies to fly then to Thailand or whatever for an event). I think she acknowledge she is privileged and lucky and there's not much us comparing her life to ours is going to do but spread negativity to something that we don't have control over.
You`re always so down to earth and I think this video really shows that. You`re just that girl next door that keeps fascinating one with your everyday doings and your simple but charming attitude ♥

When you are a good business person like she is and build a good image/brand you don't have to work your ass off for a boss you can make your own money on your own time. Not everyone can do it that's why so many people work a lot harder for a lot less pay. Don't be bitter just because she was able to use her good style/good looks to her advantage. Also, she has to work hard to expand her brand to other venues besides UA-cam because it won't last forever. She can't just sit back and just post a video every few weeks she has to keep traveling & expanding her brand to keep up her level of success... Could you do all that? Probably not.
Yeah he's right, it's really hard getting your image out there, you should be happy that she's her own boss and not working a job she doesn't like and trying to make ungrateful people like you happy.

I personally only sit around and make videos for my channel every few weeks, and to come up with one idea, edit it and try to make it perfect is hard. It takes time. Jenn, on the other hand, travels, learns, makes time for her family, friends & boyfriend, collaborates with other companies, and finally launched her app after working her ass off for months. Just so that the app is ready in your hands doesn't mean it wasn't hard work, every font, every filter, every effect needs lots of work. When you don't understand that, yes it seems less of a work for people like you. And as said above, she works smarter.
Why do some people belittle those who make money from UA-cam? If your jealous, then make videos too. But with your attitude like this, I doubt people would want to watch your vids.

Shes not being rude. Honestly, she is right jenn is very blessed to live the life she is living right now. But we all should be grateful for what we have. We all worked very hard in our own thing and it is all worth it at the end. But yes I think jenn knows how bless she is, shes a humble girl.
I'm not saying you're wrong or I'm right, but even if she lives a blessed life now, how do we know she didn't grow up in a struggling environment? She may have seen her parents struggle which pushed her to work harder. She as an adult may not experience these "challenges" or "hardship" but we can't say she never experienced it at all. But I'm not saying she grew up like that, but we shouldn't be quick to judge. All good things come with hard work :)
I am sure she is grateful for everything but I also think that we shouldn't see the 'struggling and working very hard' part as something necessary. We have to understand that in this society, today, we can make money and enjoy ourselves at the same time. Jenn is the perfect example that it can be done. So maybe we should all try to achieve this and trust our talents, our instincts and our dreams more. It doesn't always have to be hard. You know what they say, do what you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life! :)

But I've never seen jenn complain about how hard she works and how she deserves everything she has because I think she realizes that a lot of her life she does owe to luck, timing, her beauty, and being able to pursue something she loves and having that thing (fashion and UA-cam) accept her as well( there are hundred are youtubers who have just as much skill and personality as her but have small followings and no deals from fancy makeup companies to fly then to Thailand or whatever for an event). I think she acknowledge she is privileged and lucky and there's not much us comparing her life to ours is going to do but spread negativity to something that we don't have control over.

When you are a good business person like she is and build a good image/brand you don't have to work your ass off for a boss you can make your own money on your own time. Not everyone can do it that's why so many people work a lot harder for a lot less pay. Don't be bitter just because she was able to use her good style/good looks to her advantage. Also, she has to work hard to expand her brand to other venues besides UA-cam because it won't last forever. She can't just sit back and just post a video every few weeks she has to keep traveling & expanding her brand to keep up her level of success... Could you do all that? Probably not.
Yeah he's right, it's really hard getting your image out there, you should be happy that she's her own boss and not working a job she doesn't like and trying to make ungrateful people like you happy.
mischiefwinsthewar You might say, here comes the bitter fans for defending her. But no, everything she did to achieve this far was hard work. I personally only sit around and make videos for my channel every few weeks, and to come up with one idea, edit it and try to make it perfect is hard. It takes time. Jenn, on the other hand, travels, learns, makes time for her family, friends & boyfriend, collaborates with other companies, and finally launched her app after working her ass off for months. Just so that the app is ready in your hands doesn't mean it wasn't hard work, every font, every filter, every effect needs lots of work. When you don't understand that, yes it seems less of a work for people like you. And as said above, she works smarter.
Why do some people belittle those who make money from UA-cam? If your jealous, then make videos too. But with your attitude like this, I doubt people would want to watch your vids.

Shes not being rude. Honestly, she is right jenn is very blessed to live the life she is living right now. But we all should be grateful for what we have. We all worked very hard in our own thing and it is all worth it at the end. But yes I think jenn knows how bless she is, shes a humble girl.
I'm not saying you're wrong or I'm right, but even if she lives a blessed life now, how do we know she didn't grow up in a struggling environment? She may have seen her parents struggle which pushed her to work harder. She as an adult may not experience these "challenges" or "hardship" but we can't say she never experienced it at all. But I'm not saying she grew up like that, but we shouldn't be quick to judge. All good things come with hard work :)
I am sure she is grateful for everything but I also think that we shouldn't see the 'struggling and working very hard' part as something necessary. We have to understand that in this society, today, we can make money and enjoy ourselves at the same time. Jenn is the perfect example that it can be done. So maybe we should all try to achieve this and trust our talents, our instincts and our dreams more. It doesn't always have to be hard. You know what they say, do what you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life! :)
