Gilmore Girls isn’t a bad show, but can you play some clips of Smallville sometimes please? You guys don’t seem to give that show a lot of love and it deserves it.
What bothers me is that Jess is so intelligent he could have gone to university but because he is so immature, and lazy and a troublemaker he threw away his chances to make something of his life.
Dude if anything Rory, the one who went to an Ivy league uni, out of anyone, turns out to be the one who basically threw her future down the toilet drain. And Jess is turns out to be the one who has a grip on life, doing what he's best at. Academics don't determine much of anything relating to the future. It can only equip you with so much. Jess was immature but he had so much more experience working than Rory. He worked grueling hours in a good old blue collar job, at Walmart, so much so that he had to attend Saturday school, so that he could save money to buy a used car. Rory never had to work for much in the same way. That's why, as much as she was privileged with good schooling, etc, she struggled to have professionalism and maintained a job. She had to rely on other people's charity (from Logan, her peers, her grandparents), while no one was there for Jess. He learned early on that it was sink or swim for him.

going to university doesn't promise you of a bright future, look at rory for example. he still made a lot of himself on his own.
