A little modpack that has been put together by me, which is in Minecraft 1.20.1 for Forge.
I was thinking about 3 mods that I absolutely adore the other day, which then led me to essentially create this pack!
*ok I'm strange I know...
This had to be a skyblock expert pack as I'm a huge fan of those styles of packs.
But what is Chickenblock you might be asking?
Well...in a short summary, it's a Skyblock that mainly uses Resource Chickens to obtain your basic & advanced resources as you don't have access to them in the skies.
But, I went and upgraded that concept by adding in Create and the Aether, plus other mods just to spice it up a tad bit more.
The main goal is to obtain a single piece of Bedrock, but how if it isn't mineable...
Well, because I also created a pretty large quest system that is divided into 4 Acts to somewhat guide you along your chicken filled adventures, to eventually obtain this single piece of Bedrock.

btw JEI has a save item feature if you press "a" by default
I learned Create from you so now I'm going to have a much better experience than I would've, thanks for Create Superflat Survival, I'm playing this rn and already got the Cactus Chicken, the brown dye chicken, the dirt chicken, the black dye chicken, the log chicken, and the string chicken! Hopefully gonna get the piece of bedrock before burnout kicks in!

@@DanRobzProbz Just finished with it. My luck was just really bad, apparently - my dirt chicken kept running into my cactus chicken before they could breed.

I've found a trick with these chickens.
Not sure if it's a bug but sure feels unintended.
Easily 10/10/10 with 10-15 eggs
Step 1: Spawn the 1st egg, it will be an adult chicken with 1/1/1,
Step 2: Spawn the 2nd on top of the adult, making it a child, the stat would likely be 3/2/3 or 2/2/3,
Step 3: Spawn next egg on the baby chicken from previous step,
Step 4: Repeat step 3, until baby is 10/10/10.
EDIT:
Additionally,
- You can do it in less than 10 eggs (after several testing)
- You can make the 1st spawn into egg again, going back to step 3
- Early food source, cook the chicken item in campfire

The stats that chicken have are the same that Mystical Agriculture have if I remember right.
Gain: it give you more ressources
Growth: it grows faster/ give you ressources more often
Strength: it has more health

I loved the old chicken block on Java, and played it through quite a number of times. This looks like so much fun!

The first one block I played on Java had resource bees.. shocked the blazes out of me to see an iron bee 😂
I hope your not offended, but I'm stopping this video at 2:30 because at this point I am now compelled to play and defeat this pack and don't want spoilers. This looks amazing and I was a huge fan of the original chicken block

I had the same problem as you with the third copper coin chicken I got from the gold section in the shop. Some tags issues probably you need to check.
I fixed it on the v1.0.2 update ;)

If u miss place with the wand, just press shift and ctrl at the same time and u will see the green area, right click with the wand to undo the green area

I think it's a mod pack that focusses heavily on the quests as: interacting with the questbook, normally it just gives you... Well... Quests to follow, here it has a big focus on the shop, which is normally more of a Side-Thing, it's cool ^^ I think I'll play the pack

it only works on a block and it wont work if I try to do it in a basin
You just use a mechanical press, no basin
What does EMI stand for? JEI was Just Enough Items, before that was Too Many Items, I think, and before that was Not Enough Items.

i put this in my mod folder while i have forge for 1.20.1 and its just dosent appear. only the forge is there in loaded mods.
I really liked the chicken block when the nether update came out, and am a bit bummed it's not usable anymore. I play on mobile a lot while doing chemo, so the create mod isn't for me.

Who told,you you cant save recipies with JEI? Just hover over an Item anf press "A" and it does exactly the same thing as EMI. From what im seeing these mods are exactly the same, just different names😂
lol tried to play and no chickens were spawned in on the item frames and got lots of error codes. not sure if anyone else had this issue

any chance u can add the mod to make havesting wheat and stuff easier were you dont have to break the seeds, and then also add the mod to just press a button to sort chests

I have fixed it but it won’t be out just yet…
I think I found an error in the questbook of 1.0.3. I can get a bed by getting a string chicken. I get a string chicken if I cross a log chicken with a black dye chicken. However, if I want a log chicken spawn egg, I will first need to have a bed. Or am I missing something?

There is a glitch with quests giving double rewards when playing with 2 players. (Not a huge deal otherwise but this also applies to the shop so you pretty much have a 50% discount)
But if you enabled teams that’ll sort that, no?!

Does anyone have any tips on breeding the cactus chicken and dirt chicken? Ive tried it three times now and the dirt chicken died each time(and only successfully made one cactus chicken)
If the mod has roosts like Resource Chickens normally have then they can be bred in the roost and not die. But idk if he included roosts.
keep them seperated by a fencepost or trapdoor. the can still breed

I think the gold coin crafting recipe is broken. I tried to craft one with 9 iron coins in a crafting table but it didnt work and when I looked at the recipe browser it said it could only be crafted in a basic crafting table from extended crafting. Is this intentional? because if so it seems to be very hard for just a gold coin

I have mine anywhere between 6-8GB
it says Error code 1 to me too and I looked at how to fix it and still nothing

The game seems to be crashing for me every time I press a black dye chicken egg, except when it gives me a black iron chicken. I am on the most recent version. Weird!
Yea that’s an issue when you use a depot atm with the Mechanical Press.
For now just press it on a standard block

I’ve not seen this in any mods other than antimatter chemistry, but with the quest mod it had large tv screens that could be used to funnel materials in for quests with hoppers or pipes, maybe you should do that here so you don’t have to spam the buttons to trade raw materials over and over again

Strength is the gen for probability to to get this chicken
This means when you breed a 1 sand and 10 fire chicken it's bigger chance to get the fire chicken then the sand

Because it's probably one of the best mod out there. also if it's in a modpack you might not want to take any mods out, that might break the modpack, cause something was relying on something. But have you tried following the progressive tree, achievement tree thing? That might help you understand and have some fun. Cuz no offense, but there's no reason not to like this mod😅

@leeuwengames315 than make your own modpacks! It's not as hard as you think. But if you can't than pick the pack that has it as an option and not mandatory otherwise a ton of people like the mod so they're going to pick and play with it often 😅
