@@romanuchyn9962 agree!! This is great, as are so many of the covers that Greensky Bluegrass perform. But I was reminded this past week how special --- and missed --- are the great voices from The Band. Loved the tribute Greensky did with Molly Tuttle hours after Robbie Robertson's passing but I longed to hear those soulful vocals once again. RIP Richard, Rick, Levon, now joined by Robbie.
Dude dancing with the bass at the start ive watched this 1000000p times and just saw that, gonna see what them wrecking boys can do, family forever, rip brother bear.
what is really scary bro is that i have my good Russian friend who is looking so f-ing lose to the soloist just like his twin. and he's a cool guitarist and singer too. omg that just cannot happen)
Greensky Blues, this is a fucking brilliant cover! Actually, I think it surpasses the original--I prefer this vision, to tell you the truth. The bluegrass element really, really adds to the emotion and energy of the song, I think. Great job! I'm going to watch this video about five million more times! :)
Actually Emily he's spot on. Springsteen didn't use a mandolin in the song like the Band did. This is an homage to the band no matter who wrote it. It's like how Bob Dylan would play all along the watchtower in the style that Jimi Hendrix did after he made the song soooo much better.
Oh man! I love this song. Nebraska's my favorite Springsteen album by far, and these guys know how to rock out songs with a bluegrass twist. Great stuff.
Must admit, I got a little bit of a crush on these guys. I only listen to Helms' version, but this is damn good and closer to my mountain string roots. Thank you.
I can’t say that this is my favorite bluegrass band but these guys really do an awesome job on this Springsteen/The Band tune. Great vocals and “pickin’”!
I seen these guys in Prescott, AZ at a free concert. First time ever hearing them play, it was nostalgic asf! Can’t wait to see y’all in Flagstaff August 3rd
Actually, that's not true at all. It was written by Springsteen and released on his seminal 1982 album Nebraska . The Band covered in on their 1993 record Jericho.
I’ve contributed at least 2,000 views to this vid
Right on 👍🏼
I'm up there to bro
It works like that?
Likewise 😂
Really wish they’d throw this on a Live album
Wow. A guy I met at a bar recommended this video to me tonight when he heard that I am a Springsteen fan. So good! Makes my night honestly!
I cannot wait for the day that this is recorded and released, praying for the day.
This has to be one of the best covers of this song
Hold on now. Don’t get me wrong I love this version but we’re talking about Bruce Springsteen and The Band here.
I think it is deffinitly my favorite rendition

springsteen , wrote it-levon sang it , these guys killlin' it , great song
Indeed, indeed. The vocals are "on" and when the whole band comes in- well, it sounds great.

Dave
mofiesta07 can’t forget about The Band’
TheSumerianGod he didn’t, Levon sang the song for the Band.
I built the sandstone patio they are playing on many many years ago. Pretty much gone now, just a few rocks left after the floods.
Not true btw^ at all
Haha
@@davidbrett5407 OP never delivers
The perfect cover doesn’t exis.....
The band still owns this but the Wooks are my 2nd favorite, weird this is a Bruce Springsteen tune lol
Well said ...and deeper than the few words you used!
Respect
Don't play with me....
Yes it does. No Expectations by YMSB.
Morning Dew. Grateful Dead
Harry Belafonte, Carnegie Hall, Danny Boy. Perfection.
The Band‘s cover use to be my favorite. What a struggle! We need a studio version.
As a huge fan of the original, have to say this put a smile on my face. Exceptionally well done!
This is just about the best rendition I have heard... Outside of hearing "the Band" do it live. Damn close though.
It's very similar to the band. Absolutely awesome
I bet I account for a solid 10000 views.
Dude dancing with the bass at the start ive watched this 1000000p times and just saw that, gonna see what them wrecking boys can do, family forever, rip brother bear.
This was the first time I heard gsbg like 8 years ago. Since then everything's been great! Such a great group
0:50 never gets old

what is really scary bro is that i have my good Russian friend who is looking so f-ing lose to the soloist just like his twin. and he's a cool guitarist and singer too. omg that just cannot happen)
Saw them last night at Lake Tahoe. They still got the groove. Played 2 sets of jamming bluegrass !
Even though this is a cover. Theses guys are clearly the masters of their genre.
The boys nailed this cover!

Makes me hillbilly stomp and holler every time! Thanks guys!
Don’t usually like bluegrass but this is amazing. Love the mandolin
Love this stuff. Stay true to your Bluegrass southern music sound. Keep on pickin.
"There's winners and there's losers, and I'm south of the line." Yes!
I agree. Tell Uncle Terrance I said hello
Perfect, can't listen to any other versions now 😊

Do not normally comment, but the Banjo got me. Awesome cover!!!! Dig me some Kick Arse Bluegrass!!!!!
Saw The Winter Wondergrass show at Lake Tahoe 🙌🎶🪕Amazing!🌄🗻❄️❄️
I have never heard a cover worse than Bruce's original. This is great stuff.
this is more of a homage to The Band's version of Atlantic City. still sounds great. cheers
Love the Band's version too. This is pretty solid though.
Wrong. One of my favorites!

AmeagleWard. I understand what he's saying. I'm saying I like this even better than The Band's version b/c of the mando.
Emily Nevils I guess I don't understand the "Wrong." part of your reply but alas it's a great cover.
Oh man! I love this song. Nebraska's my favorite Springsteen album by far, and these guys know how to rock out songs with a bluegrass twist. Great stuff.

I just love the sound that kicks in at 0:51
this has to be one of the best videos I've seen
I can’t say that this is my favorite bluegrass band but these guys really do an awesome job on this Springsteen/The Band tune. Great vocals and “pickin’”!

Dude, this is amazing. I think I like bluegrass now.
All-time favorite bluegrass band
When I saw this listed in my search I thought 'bet this sounds great as a bluegrass song'. I was right. It does. Thanks guys!
The Band did it first
fucking great version of this song, man. peace, much love and solidarity.
Awesome cover. Great job. I would purchase this if it's available.
I've never heard of these guys until my UA-cam music mix taped it for me. A shame I couldn't have heard of them sooner.
Awesome, fellas! Reminds me of The Band’s cover.
Played this for my first time blasting off on DMT and it was so beautiful. This song hits different now.
Way to make it all about you bro.
@@loculi I'm not telling a story about you haha
