- Dead Space What If Isaac never joined the emergency response team in the mission to Aegis VII.
Isaac Clarke in the events of the first dead space game was the main character and driving force for the story. As he saw the video log that had been sent to him, he would quickly volunteer to join an emergency response team in the effort to repair the stricken planet cracker the USG Ishimura. In hopes of finding Nicole he would prepare himself for the mission, however what they would find instead would shock them to their core, a recombinative lifeform that had transformed the crew and their remains into undead nightmarish creatures known as necromorphs. If Isaac somehow wasn't allowed to join the team or Nicole never sent the video log what would happen or what could be?
That is what this video serves to provide, a narrative that could explain what might happen in that event.

As interesting as it sounds I believe that some tough love is needed here. I'd expect Dr Kyne to play a much bigger role than in the original series. He was intelligent, cunning and kinda sane throughout his journey. I'd dare to say more, he could even become the protagonist of this story. Not even mentioning him here is a major omission. I wish there was a Dead Space Tabletop RPG system, as I do have a couple of "adventure" narrative ready for Dead Space.

Could recycle the Call of Cthulhu system to make it work. It's got the sanity system that'd work well with marker influence, just adjust damages so you don't die immediately.

Good point, but here's the thing, he would then live on in denial that Nicole is dead. Just without the horrible hallucinations.
The first scenario has the potential to be the end of the Aegis VII events if Isaac wasn't present but also the end of the USM Valor if by any chance they would find the USG Ishimura location. If I'm not wrong from a Dead Space text log from chapter 9, the military ship was nearby but they needed confirmation of the Ishimura's location. The events might have followed as in the second scenario, with the crew of the USM Valor being decimated by the Necromorphs and thus making the CEC and possibly the EarthGov sending more than just a repair crew/armed ship to the Aegis VII system.
To be quite honest, other than plot reasons I'm wandering why Valor picked up the pod from the Ishimura in the first place. Maybe they had orders to not let anyone with the knowledge of what happened in Aegis cluster leave the system? I might be missing something, because I don't play DS as religously as I used to back in the day.
@@Usmvalor3 it could be quite possible the not letting anyone escaping the system if found. The DS Extraction protagonists did escaped the system and went to the Sprawl but they let Lexine and Gabe living a "normal" life during those 3 years until the outbreak happened. Not sure if they knew about Lexine's abilities from the vlog that Eckhardt sent to the Church or if the EarthGov soldiers found it after getting rid of the Necromorph threat that rose up during the events of Dead Space Salvage and finding any kind of information about what happened on the colony and ship.
@@Usmvalor3 Could be but in the Downfall and Even Dead Space what I tryna say it's been a Illegal system. The whole System was TOP SECRET. I don't know that's just my opinion.

The brethren moons apparently waited for a man like Isaac so someone can personally show them where they reside, BUT WHAT IF Isaac died? He was literally a chosen locator by the moons, would they just choose someone else or hope someone else can mentally cope their bullshit?

What If Kendra managed to get the marker back onboard the shuttle before being killed by the hivemind? Issac would be making an emergency taking off with the marker in the hold.

These scenarios were tragic, but pretty interesting ngl. An Engineer is always needed on the Ishimura.
