There is case law protecting users from prosecution that came from pirate radio. Looking back to the Audio/Video dubbing for personal use was legal, if you are rebroadcasting, seems to me is where the problems hit....like several on UA-cam rebroadcasting Live/Sports without a license is the biggie....
There's also the difference between downloading something and streaming something. Those people that charge you money for 1500 channels on a Firestick And charge a monthly fee makes it seem to the user that they're paying for contact therefore there isn't a problem. But the problem is just because you're paying for it doesn't mean the person that's offering the IPTV service is paying for it so if he shuts down everybody who has an account shots down any gonna get your money back. So if it was me, I'd use a Firestick and enable a couple third party apps or If you know how to use Kodi, that's the only app you need.
Most of the ones that I have seen are simply Android computers with an HDMI and USB ports. It is entirely possible to use them legally, and they really aren't worse than a knock-off phone. They are basically giving your monitor smart TV capability. It's all mainly in the apps that you use. NOW, one thing I have been wondering about is the issue & legality surrounding using a VPN's location feature to access content from other locations. It seems like countless legitimate content creators with VPN's as their sponsor, specifically mention this use case as the primary selling point. I don't want to cause anyone any trouble, but would that be considered "grey" or risky? Just wondering. Perhaps, it's less gray than it seems, since I often hear the feature pitched in adverts.

so, are the apps that come with the box legal to use? ie: BlueTV or Blue VOD on the SuperBox? I watched the video, but I am still unsure. Obviously it would be illegal to get a free PPV or something, but what about watching like the history channel, or sports games? It's all kind of confusing. What I found through some research is that it is legal if it is used for personal, non-commercial use. I just don't know how accurate that is, and I want to make sure I am not breaking the law
Not being a lawyer, I can only say that if you are getting free what others have to pay for it might not be legal. If you would like to be sure in your area just contact your local Attorney general office for clearification.

What is it? You started by saying "are these boxes legal"? What are the boxes? Do they provide media, I am assuming? Do they hook to a tv? Or a computer? This video was in my recommendations. I have no clue what exactly the subject matter is. I have an inkling...sure would have been nice to tell me exactly what it was at the beginning of the video. It was frustrating, so I stopped watching.
Sorry you didn't get that, it's right in the opening while I am holding the Superbox and saying these fully loaded boxes. I will try to be more clearer in future videos
I looked it up, and apparently Vsee and Tanggula have been sued before. Makes me wonder if they’ll get hit again. Dish is probably even more aggressive now that the DirectTV merger didn’t happen 😀
Lots of semantics and rationalizations here. The primary reason people buy these boxes is to engage in theft of service. The short answer to, "is it legal?" is: NO. If you are using the box for it's intended purpose you are in violation of copyright law. Understand that going in. The authorities are probably not going to come for an end user...but they could.
I have never found one that was, and we test each one before using. Not to say buying a fake box may have the backdoor but they are few and far between
Probably the best answer to "How do I know if the box or service I am accessing is legal?" If what they're offering sounds too good to be true, it probably is. At that point, you're on your own as far as risking your dollars to buy a device so don't complain much if the service goes down. You were warned.
more details!! what froze? does it not start at all? is there any messages? what were you doing at the time? What box is it? You know stuff like that so we might be able to help.
just know that the streams your box finds could be low quality, could stop before you reach the end of the show, or buffer throughout the whole show. don't call your internet provider and complain that your pirated content stealing box isn't giving you perfect quality. there isn't an internet provider technician that hasn't dealt with these people that think there must be something wrong with their internet service rather than the Chinese miracle box that gives them everything for free
There is that, but I don't experience the buffering myself on my Visible Wireless and my picture quality is very good. But you are right don't call their ISP and tell them about it.
Your explanation of legality is a little off, content cannot be legal or illegal, if I have the right to watch something, say I own a particular dvd, it is legal to watch that content via any source. This is why it’s so hard to enforce because they must prove you don’t have the right to watch something.
@@LatitudeSky I’d love to see a court back your position. There’s a concept called ‘time shifting’, this example would broadly fall under this concept.
I have no idea if this is legal or illegal.. yes I'm an American citizen.. who now is the Philippines for the past 11 years.. and yes I see these boxes available in many different parts of the country of the Philippines.. Oh well have a good day..
I'm not sure what the big deal is? What about these boxes what's the difference between that and just having a fire stick? You can side load apps on a fire Stick. What advantage is it to these boxes? And do you really want something like that from China in your house?
Good point, but did you know that the firestick is made in a country known for it's high level of hacking or cyber threat. India has some of the top people in the field.
Considering those boxes are their own creation, it fits in the gray area. If you modify equipment THEY provide, that falls into a piracy box. Copyright laws have more to do with broadcasting their channels to others. And less to do with a user watching something. There is no way for them to find out WHO is using those boxes. If you own a bar, and use FREE PPV fights to get people inside you are in trouble. I know a bar owner that got caught using FREE Tyson fights to pack his bar. He got a $50,000 fine. Plus made them pay per each seat inside his bar to the PPV company. Ended up costing him over $150 grand. Just watching one of these in your home, doesn't break any laws at all. Just don't stream what you are watching and you are good to go.
Even a high-quality VPN can slow down your internet speed, although typically not significantly. Here's why: Encryption: VPNs encrypt your internet traffic to protect your privacy. While strong encryption is essential for security, it adds processing overhead, which can slightly slow down your connection. Server Distance: If you connect to a VPN server that's far away from your physical location, the increased distance can lead to higher latency. This can cause noticeable delays, especially when streaming high-quality video or playing online games. Server Load: Even with a reputable VPN provider, server load can impact performance. If a particular server is heavily used, it may become congested, leading to slower speeds for all connected users. Try changing locations. Internet Service Provider (ISP) Throttling: In some cases, a VPN can actually improve your internet speed by preventing your ISP from throttling your connection. This is because your ISP can't easily identify the type of traffic you're using when it's encrypted by a VPN. Even if it's slower it usually is a more stable connection especially if your ISP maybe throttling you without you knowing it. They do this often more for streamers.
Thanks for the input we appreciate it. I remember having cable a long time ago and one time my subscription changed and I got a few other channels by mistake and I didn't say anything about it. My question is would you let them know you were getting channels for free or would you just keep watching?

This video is as good an advertiser for these types of boxes and 3rd party apps as I have seen while being very careful to mask the advertisement by stating all the mumbo jumbo legal jargon to protect your own ass. Thanks.
Agreed, but I do understand why they buy them. The odds of them going after end users are extrememly low and I really don't see that happening ever. They would rather stop the source because without the source you would not have the end user. Hey thanks for jumping on here John I appreciate the input on the conversation.
I always see people brag on Facebook and other sites about paying nothing or very little for almost unlimited access to any content. I always ask if they would walk into Walgreens and just take what they want w/o paying? I rarely ever get a reply other than people saying they were tired of the high fees from cable companies.
Thanks for the input, we appreciate it! Keep em coming!
With VPN it's only against their Policy as I am told to change country to gain access to blacked out media
Where is SuperBox based at? Are they located in China?
They are made in China, but I believe the servers are not

Hey is the super box still worth still buying??? Or any for that matter?
Sure but as I said it's up to the user to open up the apps on their own
@@CouchPotatoCafe yeah not to worry about the tv police
Linus tech tips made a video about how these boxes leave open ports in your network, doesn't mean you'll get hacked but does leave open the ports for ppl to get into the network and snoop on what you're doing or info getting enter on wifi
@@HitzEmUp LT Good isn't he, If I remember they found one box with the back door, I have tested many, many boxes for this and have not found any other then two cloned boxes ordered through Aliexpress (in which they have been removed) it is unfortunate and usually the backdoor would come in later on 3rd party apps updates since you already gave permissions to the initial app installed.
I have the superbox2 and it works good
so, are the apps that come with the box legal to use? ie: BlueTV or Blue VOD on the SuperBox? I watched the video, but I am still unsure. Obviously it would be illegal to get a free PPV or something, but what about watching like the history channel, or sports games? It's all kind of confusing. What I found through some research is that it is legal if it is used for personal, non-commercial use. I just don't know how accurate that is, and I want to make sure I am not breaking the law
Not being a lawyer, I can only say that if you are getting free what others have to pay for it might not be legal. If you would like to be sure in your area just contact your local Attorney general office for clearification.
what do these boxes cost to purchase?
Depends on which one and coupon codes and cyber monday etc. but there are links in description such as

How do u use a vpn? Is it on ur box or on ur phone? Don’t understand that part of it
A VPN is on each device which I do but you can install on some routers to mask everything on you wifi system
What is it? You started by saying "are these boxes legal"? What are the boxes? Do they provide media, I am assuming? Do they hook to a tv? Or a computer? This video was in my recommendations. I have no clue what exactly the subject matter is. I have an inkling...sure would have been nice to tell me exactly what it was at the beginning of the video. so... can one get the "no ads" version of the services?
What ads?
Lots of semantics and rationalizations here. The primary reason people buy these boxes is to engage in theft of service. The short answer to, "is it legal?" is: NO. If you are using the box for it's intended purpose you are in violation of copyright law. Understand that going in. The authorities are probably not going to come for an end user...but they could.
Thanks for watching I appreciate it!
If I grew tomatoes and somebody took them without permission or payment, they're thieves. Same for video content. Not cool.
I heard those boxes were filled with malware and all kinds of extras...?
I have never found one that was, and we test each one before using. Not to say buying a fake box may have the backdoor but they are few and far between
Probably the best answer to "How do I know if the box or service I am accessing is legal?" If what they're offering sounds too good to be true, it probably is. At that point, you're on your own as far as risking your dollars to buy a device so don't complain much if the service goes down. You were warned.
Thanks for watching and the input, we all appreciate it!

Will these boxes work out in the sticks… We have internet and Wi-Fi?
Works with a decent internet anywhere.
just know that the streams your box finds could be low quality, could stop before you reach the end of the show, or buffer throughout the whole show. don't call your internet provider and complain that your pirated content stealing box isn't giving you perfect quality. there isn't an internet provider technician that hasn't dealt with these people that think there must be something wrong with their internet service rather than the Chinese miracle box that gives them everything for free
There is that, but I don't experience the buffering myself on my Visible Wireless and my picture quality is very good. But you are right don't call their ISP and tell them about it.
hmm
That avengers poster on the wall could be a copy right violation .........
Thanks Fred, I appreciate the input!
Your explanation of legality is a little off, content cannot be legal or illegal, if I have the right to watch something, say I own a particular dvd, it is legal to watch that content via any source. This is why it’s so hard to enforce because they must prove you don’t have the right to watch something.
That's incorrect. The end user gains no rights to other forms of the same content. Don't kid yourself.
Thanks for watching I appreciate it!
@@LatitudeSky I’d love to see a court back your position. There’s a concept called ‘time shifting’, this example would broadly fall under this concept.
Hello @CouchPotatoCafe Are the Elite apps done forever at this point?
As of right now Vseebox is the only ones that have them, I think they will go away in the future and box makers will come up with their own addons

Pretty much not legal!
Are the super boxes legal?
Did you watch the video?
@@CouchPotatoCafe I thought some boxes were different , just wanted to make sure
@@darrengrantham8975 No worries, Yes boxes are legal, but the majority of programming is not
I can not believe anyone cares about tv service,we connected our TV to you tube 8 years ago,and never looked back.
Thanks for the input and the support, I appreciate it
Awesome yup
VPN’s slow down my streaming, why???
Even a high-quality VPN can slow down your internet speed, although typically not significantly. Here's why:
Encryption: VPNs encrypt your internet traffic to protect your privacy.
Love my BEELINK!! GETTY UP boy!!

This whole thing sounds pretty shady to Me . I don't know how Anyone could buy one ( unless You bought it with cash , Face to Face ) .
You can make that argument with anything tho but I guess since they are not stealing something tangible it’s ok to them. Amazing.

I am to honest and fair to use Netflix for free. Sure it saves money but Netflix and other companies earned their way in this world. They pay to produce the product that you are watching for free. I mean would you like it if youtube viewers had a box that bypassed the ad sharing aspect of it to the point that you didn't get paid for your content. Would you still be out here encouraging and showing people how to screw yourself out of money that you "earned"?
Well UA-cam taking 60% of all ad revenue I don't make enough to do much with it so I guess yeah I would still be on here with reviews and opinions about tech products. Why did you click on this video and watch it? because you were interested in the content, where it prompted you to actually take the time to write your review or opinion for others to see and learn from.
