Tangle with Tracy Anne - RAYZ

- Join me as I draw the tangle RAYZ by Sarah Fowler. In this tutorial I demonstrate ways of using Tombow dual tip brush pens but you could easily follow along using watercolours.
Materials used:
3.5" square tile
Black pen - micron 01
White charcoal pencil
Tombow dual brush pens or watercolour paints
White Gel pen
paint brush or water brush

Beautiful. Do you seal your art? Like with Mod Podge?
Not usually. I use a spray fixative if I use pastels or pastel pencils.

You are never too old Harry! I am 60 years old and I have just finished a course on animal character design. I’m about to start a course on Childrens’ picture book illustration. The most important thing is to have fun!
Könntest du mir vieleicht einen Rat geben....mit was würdest du anfangen, welche Muster?...möchte gerne viel lernen.
Weist du ich wohne auf dem Land ,es ist sehr schwierig die Sakura micron Stifte zu bekommen ,oder die weißen Gelstifte....aber ich habe dann online bestellt.

The micron pens are waterproof. Once the ink is dry they will not run.
Nice colours. Love the effect with the white gel pen.

Thank you Ava! Yes I am well. I have been taking some courses on animal character design and picture book illustration so these are keeping me busy at the moment. I am learning so much and really enjoying the process. I hope to start back with my UA-cam tutorials once the courses are over, in a few weeks.

I don't know your art background, nevertheless I can hear and see in your designs and Zentangle art that you are very talented. As I said in my original comment you are and amazing teacher and I enjoy your teaching style so very much. I hope you continue to learn a lot in your courses; stay well, and we'll see you when you return. Meanwhile I'm relishing all of your videos and catching up on what you've already shared. @@avahall2575 thank you so much. My background is mainly in teaching. I taught in Primary schools for more than 30 years. I have always been interested in art and creative projects (mostly self taught) and before Zentangle, I dabbled in silk painting, glass engraving and experimented with different mediums. I am loving the illustration courses that I am doing now. They have moved me from drawing what I see to drawing characters from my imagination. It is all very exciting!

I’ve been having some time off to spend time with visiting family. I also suffer from non Hodgkin’s lymphoma. It’s a slow growing form which flares up with stress. I’m ok so nothing to worry about. Just looking after myself but I’ll be back soon!
