The mics ain't helping, the power is distorting the mics, but I am sure it sound much better in person. This song was learned in basically one night of practice with a run through on Thanksgiving morning and I think it came out pretty nice...
I am wrong how? You first have to know the difference between sound and noise. Anyone can blow a horn, but it is a totally opposite action to play. They have their style and they should stick with it. Until SU wins a sudler trophy( the heisman equivalent all college bands who exceed the requirements of music on a national level) then I will take this serious. And by the way FAMU is the only HBCU to ever win that. CAN YOU FIND ONE IN SU'S BANDROOM. I THINK NOT!!!!
Now when it comes to ballads, marches(and yes marches were made for marching bands) SU is way behind in FAMU, BCU, and others like that. You have to realize that this is the difference between high school and college. You learn fundamentals of music and work to perfect them there. When you get to college it goes a little bit deeper, you are expected to know the fundamentals. SU and other bands get recognition yes when you speak on a musical note, the only thing you got is, they PLAY loud!!!!

October 15, 2008 - CNN television states, "The FAMU Band is the Best Band in the Entire Universe." October 2003 - ESPN's Kieran Darcy states, "The Marching 100 is the Best Band in the Land." July 26, 1996 - Dr. William P. Foster and The Marching Band were inducted into the Afro - American Hall of Fame for Fine Arts. The Marching Band became the first student organization to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. More to come. That was just the few of hundreds I can post, but it's a limit. LMAO!!!!
First of all that is a compliment when you can get a concert sound while marching and dancing. Do you have any idea how hard that is. It would be equivalent to shooting a rifle while running. You are pretty ignorant to the fact where you think out blowing is considered a feat. That just means your band is unbalance, lack quality, lack precision, and lack musicality. I do give SU credit where credit is due. ESPN, Power sounds are meant to be played with power and SWAC does that very well
The song is suppose to be a ballad. all that trumpet and horn loudness takes all away from the song. sounds like pots and pans banging in a bread closet. leave the ballads to FAMU and BCU. Cause it was so unorganized and everyone is forgetting about harmony and balance. The only thing this is balance and harmony of garbage.
