    I think your teaching is exceptional, full and to the point.I find a lot of teachers will fly through a mode, without a diagram and expect you to just pick it up.For instance Andrew Wasson showed what I guess is called the Gypsy scale without a diagram,I had to rewind over and over just to pick it up.A diagram would have saved me so much frustration.Your lessons explain exactly what,why when and how thanks for the great job,keep it up, I've learned lots and my soloing has tripled.Once again thanks a lot .

    That’s cool Brian Kelly. It’s almost how the British Bands took over the music industry in the mid-sixties. Plus bands like “Free, “Fleetwood Mac”and “Blind Faith”.The thing I like about you is your concept of harmony . You teach the significance of diatonic harmony. What a good teacher. Thanks, Mon!

    @brian. The challenge I have is how to be able to ‘hear’ the underlying chords when soloing over backing tracks and songs. Other than researching them and practicing playing the chord progressions till I get to know each one and THEN start soloing over the top is there any other methods. Or is it just a case of the ear improving over time and getting better at knowing the chords in a key and likely chord progressions etc.

    • @zombieguitar
      @zombieguitar  4 роки тому

      Yup, exactly as you said...it just takes time to develop your ear and be able to quickly recognize common chord progressions. It's never-ending learning!

      Yes you can! Minor 1,b3,5 and Major 1,3,5 are the safe notes, in 7th chors, the b7 or 7 are also safe, dominant and minor 7 has a b7 and a major 7th has a 7.
      The 2,4,6 which are the same as 9/11/13 are extra colors you can add :) #4/b5, b6, b2 are also that, but you might play a bit more safe with them, just play what you think sounds good!
