    Thank you! I started to watch a video about a die set that does flip and easel cards. I want to try an easel card without a die and this seems easy as can be!

    I hear you are going to be getting really cold weather unless you already have it so stay warm and safe. It is -24 wind chill here in Colorado Springs.

      Wow that is, and I can't believe you were warmer than use. We haven't had this much snow stay for this long in many years. Usually the New England area has snow stay forever. Our snow usually melts the next day or so. Thanks again for your response.

    noticed you were using an ATG. DO you have trouble with the tape drying out?

  • @Janalynnmillen

    Couple of questions… I noticed that the card front want to stay down on the easel shape. What is the trick to fixing that? Also, do you find that people know what to do with these when they get them in the mail? Or do you send any little drawings are instructions for them? I’m thinking of some older relatives that would probably love to display these but I don’t know if they would know how to figure out what to do with them other than open it like a card

    Would you please show the dies you are talking about that were giving trouble cutting before. Thanks. Need to see if they are the same as the ones I have thanks

    • @thefrugalcrafter
      @thefrugalcrafter  11 років тому

      they were metal, about 2"x6" and they had injection foam on them. They were by Cuttlebug and the metal on them is thicker than the new thin dies that are out now. I grabbed them at biglots 3+ years ago:)

    • @thefrugalcrafter
      @thefrugalcrafter  11 років тому

      it was by EK success and I think it was called Iron Eagle, there is another punch that will cut a photo slot with it, it was one of the corner adorner punches. It is peach in color:)

    Hey Lindsey :) I want to make some 3 and a half by 3 and a half and 4 and a half by 4 and a half easel cards I watched your video but I cant figure out the length width and score lines for each. I would appreciate your help :)

    • @thefrugalcrafter
      @thefrugalcrafter  8 років тому

      +Lori Seabrook first make a card the size you want it to be, then fold one side to the middle crease. then cut a new panel the size of the card that you are making, then adhere it to the side of the card you made the second fold on but only adhere it to the bottom half

    Your pansies look so very pretty as a card and with the pretty corners cut out.
    Just a quick question, why do we 'have' to fold our scores the opposite to the indent?
    Also, thanks to you, I have had a go using my old brass stencils in my big shot. Yippee, they work and I have edging ones, that I wouldn't otherwise have. Thanks Lindsay, you're awesome :o) Mo

    • @thefrugalcrafter
      @thefrugalcrafter  11 років тому +1

      Yo want to fold on the indent, the mountain side should be the indented side, I might have done the opposite here LOL! It keeps the bump hidden away and keeps the paper from cracking but have to, not really, if I make a rosette I don't flip my paper and score the other side every other time...then again I am very lazy:)

    How would you make a 5"x7" size card? If you pieced the cardstock to get a 14" length, where would you piece it so it doesn't show? Love the tutorial, TFS!

    • @thefrugalcrafter
      @thefrugalcrafter  10 років тому

      deskjockie49 I would try and add pieces of card under layering papers.

      thefrugalcrafter Lindsay Weirich Thanks, Lindsay, for your reply. After I posted my comment, I went to my craft desk and figured it out. it's quite simple, really. to get a 5x7 card, you'd need to cut the base cardstock 5x14, right? Since a standard sheet is 8 1/2 x 11, I just cut the width of 5 inches off the long side of the 8 1/2x11 sheet, leaving a piece 5x11. then I scored it at 7", which left 4". One half of 7" is 3 1/2", so I scored it there (which would be 10 1/2"), leaving a half inch tab which I folded down and then glued to my front piece of 5x7. It's basically the same thing, except that instead of having a large piece of cardstock on which to glue the front, you'll only have the 1/2" piece. Still works though. Thanks again for your video, I enjoyed it.
