Good interview.. .. remember when black kat came out with panther people use to say a who them , he put himself and the sound on the map .. big up Panther !!!
This is really nice if it wasn't for these interviews I would never know what these people look like (plain and simple) hear them, hear the names just wouldn't know their stories or faces - this is true value.
The first time I heard about Black Cat was during the Biltmore days, and I instantly became a fan. Pink Panther's passion and talent for music are undeniable, and he has gained countless fans over time due to his deep connection with the Sound Clash System entertainment. Well done, 5 Star General! ~Remi
Good work Teach .. love the flavour in not only interviewing Artists but also including the Selector who plays a very important role in a lot of the artist development...( A role that needs to be recognised as a main part of our musical culture)
Ah true! Back in the 80s when me go down it was Ainsley on Jarro. Me have Live dance on cassette weh mi tape all a dance up a Rock Hall and dances on red Hills Rd wid Live DJs like Cat, Early B and plenty more DJs . Ah di Soldier Dem a buss gunshot Inna dance when wicked Chune a play.
Man this is right up my street!? Be cool to hear the artists you interview talk a bit about voicing Dubplates and working with sound systems. Thanks for the good work teach!
I never liked panther cause I'm a Ricky trooper/jaro fan but u always new he was a formidable and influential selector but I didn't know about the part he played reggae/dancehall history. I luv ur videos cause I would never be exposed to dis. The silver hawk selector Richie poo was another great interview because u learned the goings...the history of our reggae/dancehall music and the key parts these selectors and individuals played in the history of jamaican music.
Teacher big up yourself and everything you’re doing with your platform...Panta is rated and love because of his charisma and jovial attitude towards clash.. A Spaldings a my place.. So to any Country yute watching this interview, just know dat Panta brings a certain respect to this industry... Yes the Sanitizing thing mi nuh like it either bc most of the time bad words it is between the selectas , but the music WONDERFUL. What I always loved about Reggae Music is its Honesty there is always a point to be made even if it raw. Stop dilute. Big up Trach
You know, I expected Kutchie to talk about his dancing (with his massive Branco styles and windmills). But Pink Panther had a different complexion as a youth. And very slim. Probably, that’s why his bredrens called him Pink Panther. Plus he was slick with his moves. Panther, you reminding me of some Seaview glory days.
