I had no idea that Jon Moss had so much experience, before Culture Club. This is the first time, I have seen and heard, Jon Moss speak so much. I absolutely loved this interview and forgot how handsome Jon was ❤
Liz Ward Ohh very jealous of you right now for knowing Jon, he does come across as such a lovely, genuine man. I love this man, he is absolutely beautiful.
Wow...not only is he hot, but he's also such an interesting person! No wonder Boy George and he fell for each other. Both of them are just so interesting.
Wow. Culture Club were my favorite band as a teenager, and I am proud of my choice as an adult. What an incredible diversity of huge talents. They were/are one of a kind.
I was very young when CC was at the height of their fame so I didn't know of Jon Moss until recently when I watched an old CC video. My heart literally skipped when I saw him & I had to find out who he is. He has to be one of the most beautifullest men I have ever seen. Now totally obsessing over him right now, I can't get enough of him. He was absolutely stunning and appears to have a lovely personality too. Total gorgeousness!!
I REMEMBER him, he was SO hot, he had black hair with light eyes! When I found out earlier this year (Jan 2023) that George had pushed him OUT of the band, I was bothered and messaged all 4 of them. Except for Jon, my messages went unread. Jon responded in about a day and a half and even FOLLOWED ME on Instagram for awhile! (I was SO surprised!) What a sweetheart! ❤❤❤
OMG, that Jon Moss was Beyond Gorgeous! A very articulate, charismatic and intelligent gentleman. I've always heard that he's a Genuinely very nice Guy. His Son is handsome but nothing like Jon was.
This is the BEST! Almost ALL Culture Club interviews become Boy George interviews! The press persistently hovered over Boy George like he was "the freak of the week". As a result, the public never got to know the other band members, and some of us WANTED to!
This is a really good interview. Jon seems so down to earth and genuine. I see this in George in his younger years. I believe they were in love. Neither one used the other. George grew up in a toxic household in which he saw his mother loving a man for over 50 years I believe who best her down both physically and emotionally. George will self sabotage any relationship he is in unfortunately. Doesn't make him the bad guy. I love both of these fellas and hope they have some fond and happy memories from the past. Life goes on..........
This is a fantastic interview! I didn't know it even existed and stumbled upon it by accident, and am so glad that I did. Wonderful and intellegent interview. Jon should have done more interviews instead of all of them being done by George, then perhaps the press wouldn't have had such a "Boy George over-load" , which eventually hurt the band.
BRILLIANT INTERVIEW. I wish I had seen this years ago. It really enforces my ideas of true pop and integrity not politics nor the groups that pose and support a notion that they are conscious or woke. Let the purity of pop speak. Like everyone comments: no wonder George was head over heels with Jonny.
I agree that Jon should've done more interviews. He' really great here and gets his point and I actually agree with a lot of what he said. I was sort of shocked by his honesty. I think George (back then, not now) would've been a bit defensive about the questions about the Waking Up... LP. I miss the sincerity of the 80s.
Jon Moss was a very handsome man. He is still cute to this day. He seems very witty and intelligent. I love him. Cool guy. I've always had a crush on him.
I am glad the interviewer stuck up for Waking Up With The House On Fire as well. My all time most loved and for me most GENIUS Culture Club album will ALWAYS be Kissing To be Clever + Though Colour By Numbers is their most tight album, for me it almost loses the sense of what Culture Club were. It lacks culture in a way for me and it's too clean and too pristine. Waking Up With The House On Fire retained the EDGE Kissing To Be Clever had. it was more dangerous and more true to what the band organics were. I think hello goodbye should have been a single instead of The Medal Song however. And though I love the album more than COlour By Numbers, I do think tracks like Crime Time and Mannequin were a tad weak. Don't Go Down That Street should have replaced one of them tracks instead of being a B-Side.
I think my favorite was the first album, Kissing to be clever. I think they should’ve released, “Black money”. That might be on the 2nd album Colors by numbers.
I like Jon Moss, he was a cool guy and a great part of Culture Club. Too much is put on his private life with George and it's no-ones business what fallouts they had, they made sublime music together. Culture Club were brilliant, I can't wait for the new 20012 album.....it's going to be brilliant.
George also benefitted careerwise from their relationship. Jon had more experience in the music business when they met. If George had never met Jon, I doubt George would ever have become the star, legend and icon he is.
yeah! i born in 1998 and i remember when i was like 10 or 11 y/o and i had a BIG crush on him 😭 when my parents put the music videos of culture club in the tv
Yes and I've got bad news for the Jon Moss haters. His son wants to play the drums too! So there's a Jon Moss mini-me out there! Sort of like Madonna and Lourdes. How cute and adorable is that!
I didn't watch the whole video, I stumbled in it and I was curious to hear how his voice sounded like. Very interesting to know his opinion about The Clash. Thanks a lot for posting!!
After less than a year, WUWTHOF sold 7 million copies and it was considered a failure... Nowadays, if you sell 120 thousand, you're considered a star.... How things change...
The fact Jon was straigt again wasn't helping George. There was a lot of blame to go around. I liked some of the interview, shedding g light on the beginning of the band and Jon's influence of it.
Fuck man john played with almost every kick ass punk band from England during that time before culture club!!! The Clash, The Dammed, Adam and The Ants??!!!
@gabsylv Also, George's first relationship wasn't with Jon. He was with Kirk Brandon before Jon. Why don't people blame Kurt instead of Jon, since Kirk denies they ever had a relationship to this day?
07:50 Blasphemer!!! Seven and the Ragged Tiger was Duran Duran's only album to not only chart number one, but also go IN at number one in so many countries, including the US. This is where New Moon on Monday, The Reflex, Is there Something I Should Know came from.
Yeah compared to the previous two Duran Duran albums, The Ragged album isn't really that' great but I do like listening to it still. Not saying you must compare to other music but compared to what music that has been on the radio the past 30 years I think it's really good. I like Jon's honesty about how he feels that The Ragged album is horrible. Wonder if Duran back then ever heard of his opinion on the album. Even if they heard they probably wouldn't care what a member of Culture Club would say.
I’m not from the UK but does anyone know whether Jon Moss speaks with a posh accent? I know he grew up with wealth and his accent does sound quite posh to me.
@begothic2 If you like Jon you should check out this new facebook page devoted to him. It has lovely pictures and some really great interviews with him including one from absolute radio recently. Jon makes me laugh so much. Actually he's a lot more witty and clever than George. Mostly now George just uses profanity.
There are three types of people in this world: The ones who love Culture Club And the ones who love The Clash Finally, there is me, who adores Culture Club and The Clash. In which are completely different lol.
@flamingfairyfrog I KNOW RIGHT! He has always said that Jon was an addiction, many many times. Now he says that they have a healthy relationship and they're just friend, and he also said that he don't know if it was love between them but, if it's anything but love, could it inspired such beautiful love song they wrote? I don't thing so. And George wrote song about Jon many many years after they broke up, even after he broke up with Micheal. The relationship like that wouldn't go away easily rite
I love them to be together. They were so in love back in the day. But Jon have wife now with 3 kids so there's no way they would get together ever again. Haiz :-
I had no idea that Jon Moss had so much experience, before Culture Club.
This is the first time, I have seen and heard, Jon Moss speak so much.
I absolutely loved this interview and forgot how handsome Jon was ❤
I know him quite well, he's a really lovely guy, so genuine!!!
Liz Ward Ohh very jealous of you right now for knowing Jon, he does come across as such a lovely, genuine man. I love this man, he is absolutely beautiful.
Hermoso tambien.
Can you see how young is Jon and how deep his musical knowledge is? Absolutely stunning . and he is ineed a doll
My God he was gorgeous .No WONDER Boy couldn't let him go .
Neither could all the women he dated. He's still good friends with his ex-wife, which is a Good thing since they have 3 Kids together.
a dwarf
He's a "dwarf" but a gorgeous "dwarf." What a handsome man! [besides, you dont know what he's packing! LOL]
Yeah, he was adorable.
@@redrumax he looks about 5'8" - shorter than average, but certainly not a dwarf
What a beautiful man!
George and Jon were an incredible couple and it’s a shame they couldn’t share their strength, support and dynamism with the world at the time.
This was one of the most candid interviews I have ever seen of Jon Moss. He is very well spoken.
Jon Moss was handsome..
Very handsome not only handsome. . . .and a sexiest boy I think. . . .
Wow...not only is he hot, but he's also such an interesting person! No wonder Boy George and he fell for each other. Both of them are just so interesting.

@@GARose-kt4jcDid he say why B George kicked him out? John does seem like a very nice man.
OMG, that Jon Moss was Beyond Gorgeous! A very articulate, charismatic and intelligent gentleman. I've always heard that he's a Genuinely very nice Guy. His Son is handsome but nothing like Jon was.
Jon and George are lucky that their paths had crossed. Brilliant interview, ty for posting.
Terrific interview. Both Jon and George were very intelligent and articulate. Perhaps one of the smartest bands in Rock and Roll.
I am very impressed by the quality, friendliness and interesting stories, all expressed and experienced by Jon Moss, I loved this interview!
What a beautiful boy.
This is the BEST! Almost ALL Culture Club interviews become Boy George interviews! The press persistently hovered over Boy George like he was "the freak of the week". As a result, the public never got to know the other band members, and some of us WANTED to!

Jon DID look like a young Tony Curtis, right enough: he's cool!
I know, I thought he might be related to Tony Curtis in some way.
Yes he does look like Tony Cutis I thought too !
Shell Oil Junior?
What a handsomeeeeeeeeee man!! then and now he is absolutely adorable.
I just love Jon Moss! he's amazing... great guy. and he had a good influence on George when they were together, I think!
Really smart person
Jon was the sexiest man in music in the 80's...and he still looks great now. Who can blame George for falling in love with him? =)
I don't blame George for falling in love with Jon moss I really don't
This is a fantastic interview! I didn't know it even existed and stumbled upon it by accident, and am so glad that I did. Wonderful and intellegent interview. I love the way he speaks.I understood everything =)
George adored this handsome man...
He punishes him to cover up the hurt and demise of there lost love...
Cuts deep😢

How many interviews jon moss did without culture club?
Jon was generally forbidden to do interviews alone...
BG did talk about the third album and felt like it wasn’t as good as the first two.
I used to have that interview on video cassette, recorded it from the TV.... so nice to see it here again after so many years
Este hombre era guapísimo, me encantaba, bueno me sigue encantando
Jon was so cute and handsome, I fully understand George *_*
really good to see this interview.
A very intelligent gentleman. Not to mention a crafted drummer.
Jon Moss was a very handsome man. He is still cute to this day. He seems very witty and intelligent. I love him. Cool guy. I've always had a crush on him.
OMG he so handsome here
swoon. still in love with Jon xxx
Very charming!
Culture club was composed of solid and clever kids, it is sad they ended up as they did
i love jon moss!!!!!!xxxxx
Jon is gorgeous.
HE IS AMAZING ..
The transparency of this if fantastic, great interview.
I'm glad the interviewer sticks up for Waking Up because it is Culture Club's best record overall.
I am glad the interviewer stuck up for Waking Up With The House On Fire as well. Damn he is a doll :)
I just saw culture club this August. First time ever seeing them. I never thought I would see them all together. Many more on the stage now.
Was it August , 2018? If so, you them as the "original" group for the LAST time ever! They will NEVER be a foursome again.🙁🙁🙁
he was my eye candy when i was in senior high
Great interview!!
He was with the Clash! Even post Mick Jones? Heavey
No wonder George fell sooooooooo in love with him...
Great interview. Thanks so much!

He's fucking GORGEOUS!!💎🔝
Third album is my favourite album.
First time I managed to understand him, nice and slow
I think he looks a bit like Morten Harkett of (A-HA), and Marian Gold (Alphaville)
Yeeeah
I need him and he needs me
Very nice interview. :)
He was so cute! 🤗

John Moss was a great Punk Drummer London was a good band
I am listening now 2018!
I didn't watch the whole video, I stumbled in it and I was curious to hear how his voice sounded like. Very interesting to know his opinion about The Clash. Thanks a lot for posting!!

Good looking guy jon moss
So Cute!
Tony Curtis , Alain Delon, James Dean and Rock Hudsons’ features mixed in one face.
damn how gorgeous is he??and so freaking sweet wow you missed out george too bad it didnt work out
very, very interesting interview. culture club's third album is great. so is Seven and The Ragged Tiger......retrospect is strange
There will always be a wide range of tastes :)
Yes a wide range of taste and too many opinions.
@gabsylv Also, George's first relationship wasn't with Jon. He was with Kirk Brandon before Jon. Why don't people blame Kurt instead of Jon, since Kirk denies they ever had a relationship to this day?
Que hombre tan guapo 🤗💖
it is good heart the true from him.
Handsome
I used to have a big crush on him in my teen years.

Just because it was successful doesn't mean it was great.
For some reason, you tube won't let me put links on here. But if you to the Boy George Official fan page, the person who made the page posted a link.
Es judio por eso es muy educado y inteligente
what's with the low voice in 0:10?? LOL!
great interview though.

You're kidding me right??? Seven is a great album. Cracks in the pavement is an awesome tune.
I’m not from the UK but does anyone know whether Jon Moss speaks with a posh accent? I know he grew up with wealth and his accent does sound quite posh to me.
He's very upper middle class - not aristocratic but clearly privately educated
@begothic2 If you like Jon you should check out this new facebook page devoted to him. It has lovely pictures and some really great interviews with him including one from absolute radio recently. Jon makes me laugh so much. Actually he's a lot more witty and clever than George. Mostly now George just uses profanity.
I Think Jon wasn't telling the whole story. Jon played a part!.
About what?
There are three types of people in this world:
The ones who love Culture Club
And the ones who love The Clash
Finally, there is me, who adores Culture Club and The Clash. In which are completely different lol.

George wrote songs about Jon many years after they broke up? I didn't know that - wow!
I'd love to know which ones!
No one mentions on how deep Jon's voice gets here 0:09?
Lol 😂😆
i think the fact that john is Jewish was exactly why they were so popular in Tel Aviv.
I love them to be together. They were so in love back in the day. But Jon have wife now with 3 kids so there's no way they would get together ever again. Haiz :-
brooke shields brother kinda look alike
❤ George 💞💋😘 💔😭 guy 😂 broke up 😭😭😞❤😂 joe .
