The only thing they failed to show was the loading lever dropping down after every shot to bind up the cylinder. Or the hammer sucking out a cap to wedge between the cylinder and the frame.
@@firefoxjb Me too! That is probably why they went to a single arc mainspring on future models. Other improvements were also made as steel technology improved. I wish someone made an attachable stock for the Walker, Whitneyville, and other Dragoon behemoths. We aren't all built with the muscles of Thor.
Brilliant. If it y make a suggestion:- . It would be better if it were *much* slower with extra slow motion of how the individual components interrelate.
Вообще конечно классная идея оружие в разобранном виде показывать. Я вот думаю как эти люди оружие достают , чтобы спроэктировать все в программе? Классное видео
Yes, overtime. He was saying it will explode if you load it up all the way. If you do it a few times, nothing will happen. Yes it will start to get weak, however I am still in disagreement with you that I am ignorant of my firearm care.
FlipTheAngryAsian Historically, this is the case for many of the cylinders, but it was meant to be loaded with the full 60 grains. It makes sense to do it that way for the video.
Walkers are very powerful revolvers. This kind of power from a pistol is useful when a horseman needs carbine powder, but can't be dealing with a carbine, so a powerful revolver, capable of the power of a musket or carbine, is desired. These are called Dragoon revolvers. Or at least what I know.
Since all they put was some links to store pages for it, rather than actually saying what they're using, this is all edited video taken from the game "World of Guns: Gun Disassembly"
You got the spring wrong.. the walker does not have that type of hammer spring.. that was used on the later designs The hammer also didnt have a bearing roller like that again used on later designs. You also have the screws for the internals all wrong. the threading was on the front of the screw.. not the ends.. again those were used on the later designs.. Do more research next time please
this video is basically a treasure to those looking forward to make a prop with a functional mechanism like me.thank you so much.

Oh, but isn't it supposed to do that? All I ever seen does this including mine..
Hey y'all, just kidding!
But not about the nuisance stuff...
The loading lever didn't drop down 0/5
For some reason a big CGI Colt Walker is really exciting to see
Thanks for posting this video, this is a great video.
belle video frere
Dang y'all that a great video!
I wish it was that easy to disassemble,
I must be doing something wrong, mine takes a lot longer than that!
I'm gonna build one of these as a airsoft revolver
Made to shoot 6mm bb's 0.20g.
I'll use capgun rings.
It'll probably be a 8 shot cylinder.
Enjoyed the video *LIKED* and *SUBSCRIBED* See you on the field, at the range, or around the camp fire pards. --- *1st Minnesota SharpShooters*
Deputy Hines from The Adventures of Huck Finn, 1993 Disney live action film has a Revolver Pistol.
Beautifull video, but the main spring in the video is from a later model Colt, the Colt Walker uses a very different kind of spring in a V shape.
Yep!
Marcel Bos yes and i hate it, disassembly of my walker is fine until i have to deal with the mainspring.

много работаем :)
The main hammer spring is all wrong. It t was "V" shaped. This flat one is like the 3rd Model Dragoon, and later revolvers.
Walker's don't have straight mainsprings. They have V-springs. At least the originals do and proper reproductions. Cool video otherwise.
this may sound stupid, but do you have to remove the wedge screw before removing the wedge? I cant get mine out and I'm new to this.
You shouldn't have to. It should just slide over and 'catch' on the screw.
Q Dios bendiga a quien lea esto bendiciones por parte mia con el nose juega
Hammer spring is not from colt walker, it's colt dragoon 3rd generation
good vid. only problem was you never filled the entire cylinder full of powder. that would over charge it and blow up the gun
No it wouldn't. Only if the cylinder was weak.
Yes, overtime. He was saying it will explode if you load it up all the way. If you do it a few times, nothing will happen. Yes it will start to get weak, however I am still in disagreement with you that I am ignorant of my firearm care.
Weak cylinders aren't caused overtime. They are caused by poor manufacturing and many Walkers were poorly made.

Arcabuz?
Trigger disassembly?
I have Reminton is fantactic
The main spring is wrong
You skipped a few steps
