KTM 890 Adventure - Upgraded Suspension

  • Purchased the KTM 890 Adventure S thinking 50/50 riding - on-road versus off-road. Turns out we're riding 95% off-road. While riding off-road the standard suspension starting showing its weaknesses. In fairness, the 890 Adventure S is built for 80% on-road / 20% off-road. So the suspension has been upgraded to address rider weight and greater off-road capability. Should be a tremendous improvement!

    Nice vid! I totally agree with your buying decisions pros & cons. I too bought a '23 KTM 890 Adventure and also looking for possibly a suspension re-valve.

    Interesting video (along with the first one). Did the upgrade solve the issue? How much is the seat height affected?

    You should have just upgraded to a Tractive rear shock and cartridge. Much better than the mediocre wp oem stuff and probably cheaper too. First you buy 240mm suspension and then you lower it which costs even more money. Not the right way to go😂

      So help me out. Which Tractive rear shock do you recommend and why? What would you do with the front forks which was my primary concern?

    So, it looks like you upgraded your S model to R suspension with low kit…
    I have S and facing same doubts.
    Trying to understand is it better to upgrade current forks with new cartridges or R suspension with low kit.

    Get the TracTive Extreme, you wont regret it
