are you back in PH Caloocan ?
i cant wait to go,
Wow I better get there quick and check it out!
I live in Seattle and has been to this mall quite a bit and find it pretty good for Olongapo.... there is a section you missed on the third level where you can get all your pampering services like a salon, barber, nails, spa, etc.....
Thanks am from olongapo city🙏
Thanks peter just got my answer, my best to you and family. Be well
nindot . salamat po
SM is one of the best stores I've ever shopped in. It beats US stores by a mile.
Bingo!
Ayala malls are better. better planning, better service and better spaces for greens.
Because we have Amazon.... We have progressed from malls 15-20 years ago....
@@MichaelWilson-hp2xg ..and becoming lazy couch potatoes lol. In the phils. going out to the malls is not solely for spending money. Due to the hot tropical climate.. infact some people just want to walk inside and spend time.
@@heavyhitter5538 Actually, It's time consuming GOING to the mall. It's MORE convenient to shop online and spend MORE time doing things with friends and family rather than spend 2-3 hours of going through the process of shopping.. The malls here where MUCH MUCH bigger than many of the SM Malls built there. I'm also a resident of Philippines so the comparison of malls there are much different than here. Being from Southern California our Malls offer more of an Outdoors atmosphere. But, having growing up in America a MALL is a MALL...period. Ice skating rings....been there done that. 3-4 story carousels...done THAT. You name every attraction. US Malls have had it. I remember in the 80's growing up in Memphis and our malls' ice skating was larger than the floor area size of the OLD SM of Olongapo
It just shows a country's progression when it comes to commerce. I can spend 15 min online and get groceries and what ever else I need and it will get delivered within 12-24 hours the off to doing something MORE exciting.
How many malls have closed in the US?
American malls are dying out. Retail complexes all over the US are being clobbered by store closures sweeping the country. Retailers have announced more than 8,600 closings so far in 2019 and according to a report done by Credit Suisse in 2017, between 20% to 25% of malls will close by 2022.Nov 8, 2019
My Hometown. Olongapo 💛💛💛
THANK YOU VERY MUCH PO FOR SHOWING OUR HOME TOWN......WAS BORN AND GREW IN OLONGAPO CITY......GREETINGS FROM HOMBURG SAARLAND GERMANY!!!

P,a. I g to go as soon after the holidays
. Here hoping we can go.
I cant bloody wait to move back home!
Big Cinema party for Peter!
Subic is next mega city of Philippines, next after Clark. Both were former US Military Base. But Olongapo has more to offer in terms of nature.
Subic needed a big mall. I only go to malls in the Philippines.. They are usually amazing..
Really? Olongapo now has 3 malls two SM and Harbor Point. Not like we needed another one.
@@antony3678
is started open in nov.3rd,2019
nd subic bay has own sm...
Olongapo city 2 sm mall/1ayala mall
Subic bay 1 sm
Harbor point is pretty big aswell...i miss harbor point in olongapo
@@antony3678 what we need in Olongapo is to bring back the FEDEX hub warehouse and open up the airport in SBFZ SBMA
As a country with a very grueling, alternating extreme weather of rain and sun, the malls are more than a shopping place, they are a haven where friends and family often gather. We love them.
josef rootgum Better thank Henry Sy perseverance of building these megamalls.
Building Mega Malls shows that the city and the country is economically doing well. But Philippine should concentrate more to making the Country a Safe and clean country Free from major crimes, free from drug addicts and corrupt Politicians,Law enforcers.People should be provided
With clean waters and better electrical systems. Also Free Medicare and free education for those living under proverty line.Only then Filipinos can be proud and have Pride in being Filipinos.
Olongapo has sure changed since I left in 84-85. I've been scouring UA-cam for updated videos of my old school, Olongapo Wesley Methodist. I heard it was renovated.
Troys Hobbies 1972 to 1975 Sa Olongapo Wesley School Ako Nag-Aral The Principal was Mrs. Nerona She was Miss Agdeppa my Math Teacher Wayback 1973
@@Bernzskie22 early 80's ako sa Wesley.
Is my school too😃😃
Then am transfer columban
Hi. Your school is still there, nothing so much had changed.
@@HealthenFitness Thank you.
Wow!!! My Home Town!!!
Biggest malls in the Philippines are SM North, SM Megamall, SM Mall of Asia, SM Seaside, Glorietta, Festival Mall, Solenad, Robinsons Manila, and Robinsons Galleria.
Loving it
I was scouring the line up for talent!
Been to Manila 2003--lived there for 3 years. I am enjoying watching from here in my bedroom in California. And, that's it.
Just like an old blg B of Mega Mall :)
Always been a big Mall fan, and wish this was open when I was stationed there in the late 70's.
Would of spent most of my free time there
Good video - although malls are SOOO depressing..
Olongapo has changed somewhat since i was last there in 73
bob robert
Woah thats long time ago
Yes,big time.there's freeway now from subic to Clark all the way to southern parts of the Philippines, just like interstate 10,in the u s.
@@jayvirtusio1081 amazing
@@bobrbrt yup,not like, when I was stationed there,I mean mcdo,KFC,Burger King,it's all over the Philippines now a days.i hardly found any town with out 7/11 stores.
@@jayvirtusio1081 I've been to Manila several times recently and provincial Negros Occidental, however, haven't been to Clark or Subic since I left in 73. If there were any paved roads in Subic back then, I don't remember them now. Roads were muddy during rainy season. I was a diver at the SRF, we brought red snapper and tilapia from the bay into town at least once a week. The bay was full of lobster and fish back then. I've heard not so much now. Never could have imagined back then a mall in Subic. Come to think of it, I don't think Malls had been invented yet haha
Malls are located all over the philippines even in provinces not just in the cities area, I think malls are one of the trademark of the pilipinos.
Exactly the same at SM Seaside City Mall Cebu, Philippines!! 👍😀
Why we love malls? Because public parks owned by the state are poorly managed and dirty. Malls are privately owned and generate money for the owners, so it's an incentive from them to make it feel like a large in door park. Safe, clean, and cooled. People hangout and end up shopping.
I miss Olongapo
hope you can do a taste review of Contis mango bravo cake there, also Uniqlo haul @ the biggest uniqlo in central luzon @ SM Central
I live in Olongapo and I went to sm central everyday
How are u, mate. Hope ur safe up there
Filipinos LOVE malls PERIOD !!!
I was there when the main street was a dirt road
Starbucks is in ayala mall opposite sm downtown
Try to visit VV Soliven mall in manila. The best mall in the Phils. lol
I have been looking at Subic bay for a while now and my only issue was there was no mall near by, this changes things quite allot. I will look at it again
This is one on three big malls in the area and we also have several strip malls.
Can you make a second Olongapo Vlog of inside the Cinema and a better look of the first floor area near that stage and above it. Salamat Po
I always do valet so I don't have to worry about finding a spot
Hi Peter you are after a phone look up xiaomi mi the best value out there great prices not like the tv I saw £549 to much- in Thailand they are very cheap I got a 49in curved smart Samsun £300
Yes Xiaomi are awesome. Best phones around and a awesome price tag to match.
There's only one Mega Mall and that is SM Megamall in Mandaluyon City and it's one of the top 10 largest mall in the world. This one in Olongapo is only a mid sized mall just the other provincial SM Malls.
Only because of the space needed to build it
Subic bay looks much better in design, than Sm Megamall, but I dont know which is bigger.
Sm megamall is 10x bigger than this
Akala ko mega mall. Sa center pala
Are there any condos upstairs? I saw the Alcoves in Cebu at Ayala center and would love to find something like that in Subic.
For sure that is way before the pandemic
So where in Olongapo is this, Peter? Freeport zone? Near Harbor point?
I work this SM central iproud to be olongapeñai
Mega Mall it is not, you can walk from the front door to the back door in about one minute.
this is the former Marikit Park ..
Holy molly, FAR CRY FROM 1965
Sad situation here to see this beautiful facility opening up only to get slammed with a nationwide closure of all malls and area businesses due to the contagion...It will take months if not a year or more before people get back "to normal"...Social distancing will become the norm and people will find a way to get their stuff online if they can...This epidemic has changed the world we live in and the employees and businesses like this will suffer unfortunately (retail is really hurting anyway before the problem hit)...Now its shuttered for how long we don't know...I'm in Angeles and we're being told sometime in April...Its fluid and things change twice a day...Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing ~ Crisis Mgmt is non existent so its a daily crap shoot...Fluid situation that's constantly changing...Good luck to all caught up in this mess...
this LIE has change the world !
prefer the harbor pointe mall on the sbfz

Hi! Is the Property currently hiring? I'd love to contribute! I saw some of your recent videos indicating you were looking to hire expats so I tried the FB account and was wondering if that will be the case again ? Thank you!
Really? Hiring expats to work in a Filipino mall?
@@antony3678 No
Tony, I have heard that the foreigners that lives in the pilppinas. Yes they can work or run a business in the pilppinas. If you run a business you have to get a licensed to run a business from the city hall.

Where'd they put it? Is it inside SBMA?
It's very close to the Victory Liner bus terminal.
By the marikit park or I would say it is used to be the old Olongapo General hospital....
FECHO clinic where I used to worked, Department of Health/SocialHygiene, Phil-Am Youth Center and Olongapo General Hospital and Tennis courts and huge ancestral trees were gone 😪
the big question is... Do they have toilet paper in the CR?
NO
They do but you have to buy it in a dispensing machine.
@@aloyad71 No Good :(
Just bring your own tissue/ toilet paper
The point is there should always be toilet paper available for FREE ...
Just in fact it's not in subic bay
Its not old its now 1 year old
Isn't that Harbor Point? That's not a new mall.
Sm City Olongapo Central
Di poyan sa subic bay
It's not that big tho
Good to see a nice clean mall where people aren't walking around in their pajamas, like they just crawled out of bed, unlike the U.S.
not even close

all these malls are all the same ,all the malls/stores are all the same and all owned by the same few people ,they are like giant money sucking vampires, they make a fortune from pay to park alone....
not anymore thanks to virus hysteria
Lol we’ve been there last year and I’m disappointed 🤦🏻♀️ there’s only one elevator and it’s so small that it can only accommodate a couple of people, they were renting a push cars for kids we rented 2 for the kids and because u can only use elevator to go up it won’t even fit ,but then we manage to fit in the two push cars and then only 4/5 people can squeeze in with us , also the arcades are so rigged lol 😂
I live in Japan around arcades I asked the guy working there whys why and he can’t even answer me coz he probably doesn’t know how the game works lol 😂 the mall is big but disappointed.
What a waste of space! Huge walkways with tiny shops and few items. No decent, healthy restaurants, no Body Shop, no Healthy Choices, no French Bakery! A lousy supermarket unlike the Clark SM with its fantastic Hypermarket. Thumbs down on this mall!
Shut up boomer
