I was surprised that Yasmin's skin is darker, but she's the most nature-loving of the girls so i wouldn't be surprised if she's tanned from doing recreation or volunteering or something outdoors. She's always been my favorite, so i hope she plays a bigger role in season 2. Thanks for uploading! I don't have tiktok, so i didn't know about this until i saw it mentioned on the Bratz website
I think older fans of the show, like myself, need to give this new updated version of this show. OF COURSE Jade, Cloe, Yasmin and Sasha aren’t going to be the same as they were years before when we were younger! The girls are going to grow and change! Personalities grow and shift, characteristics that may have been stereotypes are now updated and refreshed, newer things to relate too, sometimes the way they were portrayed in the past seemed like, only one path for each character; but now they have these amazing personalities and options to explore! Give it a chance.
We are giving it a chance, the series is decent here and there, but tbh i have a problem with the overall execution of this "rebrand" (even though its technically not a visual rebranding, just an updation). I mean the OG fans have waited SO LONG, so patiently, for this ??? There's been countless forums where people share their opinions and clearly state what they want from the brand (as we are their CONSUMERS lol) and it doesn't seem like the team is really taking those things into consideration... They appear to want to follow their own direction, losing the essence of the brand in the process, which again, is losing a big chunk of us. the problem is they've failed to maintain consistency. The girls' personalities are almost an interpretation of their looks, they're all mean and obnoxious, and if you've watched any of the old series or movies you'd know they actually had very distinct recognizable personality traits, interests and quirks. I find that now they're more interchangeable as they dont have any strikingly unique things about them that set them apart, besides their looks. Which arent even consistent with their OG aesthetics and interests 🤦🏽♂️ The original Bratz formula WORKED, it was good, fleshed out, this just feels like they're happy with the attention brought back to the Bratz franchise and will do anything to keep it, but they've unfortunately skimped on _quality,_ and making smarter, long-term decisions for the brand. And most important is listening to their wider consumer base, they seem to ignore the masses and instead push things that require money, connections and exclusivity to experience. Which is quite elitist. My field of work is multimedia design and branding so these discrepancies stick out even more to me, especially considering how much the og bratz inspired me in the first place. It's a little sad :/
Yeah as an old Bratz fan myself, I completely agree with this. I actually like the new animation and I honestly didn't even notice that the voice is changed. Honestly, so far I'm just loving the new show. I think it's great 😊❤️
If its about the new animation and new outfit changes then its fine, we give that a chance because animation keeps progressing and new fashion trends are more wider now and it deserves to be explored. But changing the girl's personalities is a big NO (except for Chloe since hers kinda remained in the new series). This is why a lot of cartoon remakes and reboots just don't work because writers tend to create unnecessary changes that ruins the character. Each of the girls have distinct personalities that makes them unique. Why change the girls personal qualities that made them lovable in the first place? Right now they all feel like a bunch of one dimensional instagram models with no individual thinking, and if that is what maturing out of highschool looks like then thank God my dorky and weeb side didn't change since highschool because my personality is what kept me sane and grounded while i struggle through adulthood problems right now lol
This entire video was so messy for no reason 😭😭I actually love the animation style cause it seems like a combination of the old one and just a modern style but the plot? 😭 like firstly we ended off with "passion for fashion" when there was basically nothing fashion related in the entire video except I suppose their "pitch". And Chloe has always been obsessed with guys but I don't think she'd break her friends boundaries like that she's also has insane anxiety about people being mad at her yk-
Me personally, I like what Yasmine has come to. I wish there was a little more with her, but I'm not mad at it. like some else pointed out, the girls are older & more developed & matured now. I don't count on them being completely the same as they were as teenagers.
i like yasmin not being in the spotlight. because of her ethnic ambiguosity, she was the most manufactured doll and often the center of marketing, even if jade was the portrayed protagonist some games. i hope they do the same with cloe; she was also one of the most manufactured and while her personality is big and fun i need a little less drama-mama and a little more scorchins and suh-weets from other characters.
@@holyfool5605 hahahah so true that last part. They should give each of them their own time and space to shine, i just wish they didnt massacre their character traits like so, they're all so bitchy and it feels like they're written by teenagers. I mean I'm 23 for crying out loud, and my friends are all slightly older, and NONE of my girls talk to each other like that 😭😂
@@chloe.cordeiro Well apparently some writers thought that fashion loving girls growing out of highschool means they become a bunch of bland one dimensional instagram models who have the same talking points about almost everything. If adulthood means maturing into a typical "mature" boring person who blindly follow the crowd and trends, then why do adults in their 30's who like dressing up cutesy or wierdly and millennials remaining as a weeb since highschool still exist? Not gonna lie, the new animation and the wardrobe looks fine but they could've at least made an interesting and creative script
@@intergal6916 I agree. Which kills me because the animation style is nice and makes for a good spring board to the doll line. They look really similar. Anyway, I don't like the Talking Bratz version for this reason. Watching t makes me remember just why I hated the Bratz DIY 2015 stopmotion webisodes. They were so soulless and the girls just became a watered down version of themselves. It was so desperate to seem 'in' and cool to young girls... all that stuff about doing everything in DIY, having cat phone cases etc...i cringe thinking about it. And it died after like, 8 episodes. Do actual Bratz fans write for this show??? and I keep thinking... is the failure of the reboots due to the college-fication of the Bratz girls? Personally, I liked the old Bratz because the girls went through personal challenges, they weren't perfect, had actual character flaws, and they were really just girls being girls - also, there was an actual plot. 4 normal girls forming a fledgling fashion magazine trying to go up against a biased cruel old lady that's a fashion mogul? It was wacky and unrealistic at some points, but also really fun - the high school setting made it so there was multiple set pieces that could bring different challenges - and I liked how Jade felt like the protagonist, and that it was really about her confronting her own insecurities and growing as a person by challenging herself with making a magazine and doing it with the help of her friends. They were different, but each felt...not one dimensional like, say the average Barbie animated movie characters. But here? It just seems like all plot was stripped away and the characters have no drive, no internal struggles. It's like a sequel nobody asked for, in a universe where Cloe, Sasha, Jade and Yasmin all somehow stayed together doing the magazine...even though it has been hinted at multiple times during movies and the original TV show that they each had different aspirations; Cloe wanted to be an actress, Sasha a dancer, Yasmin a writer/singer and Jade a fashion stylist. The fact that they are still together and apparently doing well enough to land a streamflix (netflix) deal suggests that they either gave up their individual dreams or the new writers completely forgot about them
Yasmin's new voice doesn't seem to match her at all. Her OG voice blended perfectly with her personality as a sweet and kind empath, she's a bit softspoken compared to the other 3 girls. Right now she just doesn't feel like Yasmin anymore
Anyone wondering why Cole and Yasmin feel OFF! It’s because they’re older! Cole was more of a drama queen as a teen and Yasmin was very condescending and judgmental in the original show. They Are Older So They Are Different ... It Is Weird But Im Not The Same As I Was When The Shows And Movies Came Out. Alsooo.. The Color Of Yasmin Isn't Off, She's Generally Been That Color Or Lighter. I Think Its The Animation Lighting Also Because I Notice In Different Scenes The Color Changes Slightly BUT Technically That Would Be Accurate Anyways. The Reason She Might Look Off I Think Is Because Sasha Is Off. Sasha's Skin Color Is A Cool Dark Skin Here Instead Of Warm. It Makes Them Look Similar.
