Tried this. My infuser was stuck high up in the machine. Other sites said to press ECO and Descale. Followed the instructions here and pressed 🍵 and 🍵🍵 together and plugged in. Whirrs and clunks later and Infuser has returned to the low position! Thanks, man.
Thank you Edward! I did the reset using the two buttons at the top as you showed towards the end of this video and it worked! I had tried the options suggested on the De Longhi channel but none had fixed the problem. I’m so glad I came across your video!
Excellent video, thanks. I chanced on this via google as i have the same fault, but with an Esam2800 - basically the same. Putting mine in test mode, all the individual parts work ie grinder, heater, pump, and the infuser goes up and down. When the machine is on, pressing the two cup buttons does reset the infusers position, but as another comment states, the two green lights come on and the red triangle lights. The only sensor on the infuser is a microswitch that operates at the lowest position when the used grinds are emptied into the bin. The stepper motor will then move the infuser to the position where it can be removed for cleaning. I dont believe there are any sensors that detect if the infuser is in place, but I would like to know where it is if there are! Pressing the two cup buttons on power up doesn't seem to achieve anything, unfortunately. I suspect the video, which suggested 4 fault light = beyond economic repair, is true.
@@andymixstare6576 No. I think it needed a replacement control board as all the individual components worked in test mode. At circa £100 (plus parts to service) wasn't worth the gamble when a replacement would cost ~£300. Perhaps if I'd realised it should have been serviced periodically, what ever glitch caused this issue might have been avoided.
Hi mate, good clip! I have the same problem, the machine has been abused, and infuser got stuck. Removed id, cleaned, lubricated, new o-rings, but still the same problem. I reset the machine, but the group only went down, the 1 and 2 cups lights are now solid green, and the triangle general fault is lit, the machine would not do anything. No move, no nothing. Any ideas?
It’s more likely to be an air blockage. Place a cup under the steam wand and turn on fully for about 30 seconds. That would be the first thing to try. Let me know if that works
I managed to unlock stuk infuser, but resetting but pressing one and two cups buttons doesn't do much and the issue with 4 lights flashing in a sequence from left to right is still there. Anything else I can try?
Switch it off at the wall press and hold the 2 cups buttons- keep holding them and switch the machine back on keeps hold of the buttons until the machine resets might take several seconds
I managed to change its condition: now both cups buttons are turn green + the third light (error) is red. Noting is blinking but contantly light like that. If I press power button on/ off the same lights came up (cups + error). Thought?
When I open a steam valve the light changes. Now three top (cup, 2 cups and steam) are flashing alternately from left to right and the alarm diode is still on. After closing steam valve it returns to previous lights: 1,2 cups and alarm - all lighted constantly
Hello Mr Edward Smith I have tried to switch on while pressing two buttons didn't work. Just all lights came on without flashing and after 5 seconds it goes off. And when I pressed on button together with the cups buttons it flushing and when it stops still machine flush lights. Kindly advise. Thanks

Hi robd - did you resolve your problem? I have exactly the same and can't fix it since last week ;/.

or prime the system, pull pushing the water tank when pumping seems to work - if the above doesn't work

Try opening the steam valve till you get water pumping through.@@pavvelgrz

To reset do you have to unplug or just switch off at the back and front or all 3?
Switching off from the back will probably suffice. Hold the 2 buttons before you switch it back on.
@@siliconemaster Thanks Edward. However switching it off at the back presumably switches it off at the front as well, right?
The back button powers it down completely, the front only turns the panel off.

@@victorychijinga3182 have you manage to solve yours. I have the same problem .
My infuser is stucked up and the reset doesn't work. When I hold the buttons and plug in the lights don't flash, just all lights on and then off. 😢
Tried the reset and didn't work. Any other suggestions?
You have to hold the 2 buttons for quite a while until the lights stop flashing, try again holding the buttons in for longer.
@@siliconemasteryou helped me a lot! Thankssss! 😊
