PARACORD101 I watched this video several times, greatly appreciating each hesitation of each movement demonstrating how each knot is formed and tied. Thank you for being so considerate, insuring that those watching would have a clear understanding of each movement, thus solidifying this knowledge in their minds. Thank you!
a general rule of thumb for cobra weave is 1 foot for every one inch of bracelet, belt, etc. Remember, you are always better off with more than you think you need.
I really enjoy your videos and i have not seen all of them yet so i may have missed how you join two separate color cords together. so my question is how do you join them?
So, what you do, to join them, is, you get the ends smoldering hot with a lighter or other heat source and then you press the ends together and hold them until they cool
With the lengths of cord you say to use (2 X 13 ft. joined), what size bracelet does that come out to be? Usually, an 8 1/4" bracelet fits me perfect. With your caution to use an extra 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 inches for comfort, where do I need to be? Do I go for a 10 1/4" length? Being a novice, I could use some further guidance. Thanks.
+Kentucky Justice Everyone has a different comfort level. Some people like a loose fit and some a snug fit. You will have to experiment and find out what works for you. I would suggest 10 1/2" to 10 3/4". It may mean making a bracelet and see if it fits. If not, untie and start over. The wider and thicker the bracelet, the more vague adjustments will be needed to comfort on your end.
One method i have used when unsure how much cord I need is to use one set of cord to make the core, just as in the vid, leaving some extra at the top then do your weave with an independent set of cords so the weave is around but not attached to he core. (Notice in the vid that he only anchored the core at one end with a half hitch, the other end is wrapped around the bar but not anchored). This way if you do 10in and it isn’t long enough, just grab each buckle and pull, lengthening your core to continue the weave. Sorry this isn’t very clear!
I have a 3/4" inside diameter buckle that I am trying to make a survival bracelet with. I want to make one that uses the most paracord possible and still look nice. I have 25 feet to use. The purpose is that I want my survival bracelet to be able to hold as much paracord as possible. What types of braids do you recommend for my size buckle and using as much paracord as possible?
LoneStarPrepper You should check out my book... www.amazon.com/Prepper-Paracord-Quick-Deploy-Sinnets/dp/149470529X/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1439134504&sr=8-6&keywords=todd+mikkelsen
Hi, I am planning on making a guitar sling with this design, that will be 55 inches long. Approximately how much Paracord (of each strand) do you think I will need to do this? Also, what did you mean by "joined" Paracord? Thank you in advance :-)
Tom, Thank you for this great tutorial. Where do I purchase one of those steel "threading tubes' as shown in your video and what is it called? Thank you in advance for your reply.
How much paracord do I need for that side thing when I have 23 inch long dog collar? Please help, it's really inportant and I haven't got much time left! :(
Just wondering where you got your tools and is there a website or Instagram where I can get the instructions on where to make the board you were working on. I have rheumatoid arthritis and I think this would be good therapy for my hands. Thanks, your stuff looks awesome.
+Jay Shaffer The tools can be found on Amazon.com. The wooden tool = paracord jig can be made by simply doing a search online or by purchasing one online.
+Luke Armstrong Tested.... added 6 inches to each length... wound up with about 8" of each left. Watched Mission Impossible Rogue Nation and finished it. =)
I have already made a cobra knot but did not find it wide enough so I will start from 05:55 on my bracelet and make it wide (hope so) with a better color. this is a successful video with nice camera angles. I wish you find a better music:))
It's been a while since you published this video which is really good, and I am saving it for future reference. But I have a Question and only just a simple question for you and your vid??? Has there been anything you have learned since you published this Vid, that you would like to add as material reference or as additional information to the Vid? It's been almost 2 years, so it's a great time to ask you the question I thought. I am just learning, but thought this would be a great opportunity to ask you this type of question(s) with regards to your Vid. Thanks in advance for what you published. Cheers.....And a Happy New Year for 2018..... :)
Trying to do this pattern make me realise how extremely hard I tie when I use paracord, nearly impossible to get the needle through the loops... Start to understand why I allways get blisters. Great pattern though! :)

Thanks, I appreciate the way you go slow and show details, that really helps me a lot.
Sweet design! I love the King Cobra and this just makes it even better.
What size wrist is these dimensions for I’m going to make these for Christmas gifts ,, thank you
Can this technique be used to make something wider? IE. Primitive sandal strictly out of paracord? If so, could you please show how. Thank you!
Very very cool. Looks like a great way to pack a lot of cord into a small space. I never would of thought of doing that. Thanks for the tutorial!
That would make a great looking rifle sling
How many red cord I need for all red ? In 1 big rope of 550 Paracord
Where can I get the plans for the device you are working with?
Add 1 1/2 inches to length..Thick but great for a large guy!!!
Very nice design
how do you know how much cord to use depending on the size of the of my wrist if I want a snug fit?

What lengths did u use of each color and what did the overall length of the bracelet end up
Please see0:25
How to decide how much paracord we need depending on the length of a collar?
Thinking of doing this design for a belt... Thanks for the tutorial! Keep up the good work
Hey, thanks for all of the tutorials, great job.
One question, can I make King Cobra with a classic steel shackle?
I don't like the plastic buckles.
Милош Мандић yes you can. You just do the same thing that you would do with the plastic ones
Very cool design
Tres tres jolis bracelet paracorde, j'aime beaucoup et te remercie pour cette video , et tuto , tk u , a lot :)

One “smooth” way i have seen is to join them with heat shrink tubes. Like used in electrical work.
Está muy bonito ese brazalete

Do you hollow out and use only the outer sheath, or do you leave the internal cords?
+Chris Wilson No...
that"s awesome, thank you for sharing.

What are the colors that you used for this bracelet? Black, Tan, coyote brown? Also, can I use shackle for this?
+Strugglin'ToSurvive Yes to the colors. You should be able to make this with a shackle...
Wow, you are fast! I will use the shackle probably... You inspired me to make it! Thanks!
Thanks for the video.

If I double the length formula I should have enough for just under 19 inches by my estimate. Sound about right?
+Luke Armstrong Tested.... added 6 inches to each length... wound up with about 8" of each left. Watched Mission Impossible Rogue Nation and finished it. =)
If I wanted to make a 40" sling how long for each cord do I need?
you might have to use 40 feet
