- Watch as I turn this scar into a fresh wound on a taxidermy deer nose!
I used fake blood (from the Halloween section), mod podge, pan pastels, and spray gloss.
Recreating a wound on a taxidermy mount is a cool way to give it a little extra detail! Especially if it clearly has a wound or scar there anyway.
Honestly I would have hesitated if you had suggested that to me… But - as it shows - sometimes you have to trust the artist. Looks very real, fits the scars on his face and shows that you go the extra mile. Great work!
I love it! ❤ Artist tip, if you want the blood to look a little more realistic add a touch of dark brown. Cant wait to see more of your work!
Thank you, that’s a great tip!!
Unique characteristics is what seperates the good from great! You, of course...😊😊 the great!
That deer is a champ 💪🏻 fight for the does!!😂
Yes he was!! Definitely a scrapper!
Thats impressive ❤❤❤
Artist at work, looks great.
Oh wow! I like that a lot!
How do you make a taxidermy mount look wet? Like a crocodile with a gazelle in water?
Usually some kind of spray gloss or epoxy resin
And that’s why your a National Champion!!
That’s awesome!!!!!
I just discovered your channel and I love it great work
Love your work it all looks really good I have always enjoyed taxidermy was wondering where your shop is located
Super cool idea. Not certain i would like it or not? Very neat though 👍
It may not be everyone’s cup of tea! I like that it’s pretty subtle, not in-your-face type of effect 🙂
@@ashleyeve for sure. It is very cool. I worked for a taxidermist for a couple years (caping, cleaning hides) and never saw that. It is an AWESOME idea. You do great work
