As someone with a breathing problem it gets me to places I would never be able to get to. I bought a used sondors ebike off of Craigslist and I love it.
My wife and I have had folding 20" wheel E-Bikes for over two years. We went for regular tires because the fat tires take so much more power to move. Haven't had a problem with regular tires. I ride off road all the time, trail riding. My wife's bike was an Ancheer that cost $450. It has disc brakes, 350 watt motor, 36 amp hour battery, fenders, rack, lights and front shock absorbers. I don't fold it. I just lay it on the lowered table/bed. I have a Ness. It costs more, but I like it. I just lean it against the couch and between the slide with a pillow to hold it. We love the E-Bikes. When going up hills, you really blast past other riders on normal bikes. We get quite a few looks.
Hi rj statt … after crashing on a sandy BLM road (due to the front tire digging into the sand), I realized my mountain bike was not suited for the terrain where I snowbird. The fat tires' air pressure can be lowered to make the ride more comfortable and ride on top of any sand, rather than through it - this is why I went with fat tires, over standard one.
Thank you for reviewing these bikes. We bought a black one and a white one about 2 months ago prior to a trip from California to Minnesota and back in our Airstream. Both bikes fold nicely to fit in the camper shell on our Ram 3500 longbed. We have a little over 200 miles on one and 140 on the other. No problems at all, great ride, long range and fairly smooth ride. I adjusted the rear brakes on both so far but nothing else has been done. All common bike components and very replaceable or repaired. Fate Abound did the review when they were in New Mexico and they had great fun with them. Thanks again!
@@chapter4travels No, they are the standard nut and bolt axles. You could res-spoke a hollow axle for the front, I sure wouldn't for the rear. I have had no problem with size fitting them into a trunk.

Hello yes I did order my bike back in May and I got it the second week in July. It seems like a very long time but it was well worth waiting for and the price paid, a lot of bikes were just out of my budget, I was afraid I'd have to sacrifice on quality, and I didn't. I am thoroughly happy with my purchase and my decision. And just another note I'm 60 years old I have no problem lifting it up into my RV or getting it down off my RV. Been following your videos for a while, you always have great content. We have the white and a black lecticebikes also. Love them a lot! Had them for over a month now, bought them to take with us in our Class C Winnebago 26 ft Aspect. We purchased a hitch bike rack as there is less room in our RV. Can't wait to go exploring new locations! Also attached a bike mirror for each one, works great. Being in our 60's it allows us to get out and get less strenuous exercise, I always use the peddle assist! Oh, also got 2 front mount dog baskets for our two little dogs to take with us, had one of them out yesterday for a five mile ride!

Haven't tried loading by one person yet, husband and I loaded them together. It tilts down to get the first one on, then tilt it back to get the 2nd one on. If you put the front tire on first then pick up the back and roll/balance it across it might work for one person. The outside one will go on easier.

Your tall. You will make yourself fit without realizing. I'm tall too. Sometimes when people ask for me to reach for something high for them, I think if would be alright to ask them to tie my shoe since they are soo short. Never have though. Enjoy the bike. I am supposed to have mine shipped early September.
We just received our two Lectric e-bikes today. We had watched your excellent video along with several others. I was super excited to finally get them. However, what no one mentioned in any of these videos is weight. This bike is extremely heavy!! I thought we would be able to lug them up the fifth wheel stairs (no toy hauler) but that will be impossible. When folded (with battery), I cannot lift it more than an inch. If battery is removed, I can lift it a little better. I wish we had been able to try them out before buying. It’s too late for us but wanted to make this comment for anyone considering these bikes.
I just ordered a black bike for me, and a white one for my wife. We're older and have done a bit of RVing in the past, but mostly will just throw them in the back of our SUV for day trips. I myself have a Rad Rover mountain bike with the Fat Tires, and I love it. Mine is not foldable, but Rad bikes has a foldable version. 750w hub takes you where you want to go. Great video, Jerrod. I discovered e-bikes last year and purchased a full-size fat-tire mountain e-bike. Yes, as you so eloquently described, "FUN" is the easiest way to describe riding an e-bike. I'm 70 and its like I'm a kid again riding my bike. You left out one key statistic - the weight. According to the Lectric website, the weight with battery is 59 pounds. Battery weight: 7 pounds - very respectable! Thanks for another entertaining and informative video.

$999 is on the web site, You might watch the UA-camr Louis Rossmann. He rides his electric bike between Brooklyn and Manhattan somewhat aggressively. Thye bike is not the focus of his videos but it appears fairly frequently. The electric bikes are speed limited to 19 mph in New York City.
It is a very nice video Jared. I think these bikes are very good for most. But do you plan to review some high end e-bikes with middle motor. Hub motors are outdated and they don't perform well on hills.

We went to Bulow RV Park this last March for bike week. That is a nice place, we noticed the long driveway. The Bulow ruins was pretty cool to see also. Whenever we can afford some ebikes we will get them. They look cool👍
The whole time I was thinking, "That's all great but if it costs more than a good used motorcycle there's no point for me to consider it". Then you said $900! Well, now I have to consider getting one!
I have a Rad mini folding ebike and it has been incredible for my fulltime RV life. I fold it up and carry it in the back of my Ford Fiesta ( my tow car). I had amazing time with it in the desert this last winter. I do suggest that you Slime the tires before getting a flat tire.
Very nice. I have a Xiaomi M365 which is also fold able and I'm able to put it in a bag and it just fits underneath in my trailers storage area. Either way a bike or scooter are lots of fun.
You can easily double the range by buying a second battery for $300 and still be cheaper than any other. I don't know of a bike for under $2000 that has an 21 amp battery.
Jared, you didn't post the weight of this e-bike, so went on their site and found it to be 59 lbs. Pretty heavy to lift up and store if you don't have a toy hauler you can roll the bike into. At that weight, I would believe a handle and having the bike lock together would make it a little easier to handle the weight. However, very nice informative video like all of you videos. You do an excellent job with your dialogue as well.
Thanks Joe, it does actually have a handle but I find it easier to just lift it by the frame and the back rack when I put it in the side door. We don’t drop down the big door because we added insulation to it to cut down on heat transfer. When the bike is folded and I want to role it around I tip it back by the seat and role it forward. When you tip it, it surprisingly keeps everything lined up and is easy to push around.
Great video I'm in the market for a foldable ebike. Although I'm leaning towards a 26" x 4" fat tire, step thru foldable bike. Only because I want to be able to ride it on asphalt bike trails as well and go a bit longer in distance. Otherwise, this Lectric bike would be key. Fantastic for the price. I canceled my Lectric order to go with a mid drive conversion for my MTB though. 1500w and a 35-40mph top speed is just too tempting...
I’m really interested in these but I’m a big man at 325lbs. I don’t think it could handle that. I’ve also looked at Rad Power Mini’s but it’s rated at 275lbs as well. Really don’t want to have to put a bike rack on my 5th wheel to carry a non-folding e-bike.
May someone tell me the names of the folding ebikes that has 26" wheels that way I can put it on the metro bus and that I can easily get 2 or 3 batteries and a extra charger and can reach 28mph with a speedometer ?
This is probably the most comprehensive Lectric XP vid I've seen, and i've seen score of them. The XP isn't perfect, but for the price, I LOVE MINE> Did you really have your PO8 setting at 70 ???? (PO8 45 gives you 28 mph)
Hi , great review. I have one ordered , if it works out will get another one , which it sure looks like I should have two . My question is , to recharge it when you're out camping , do you just plug it into your RV 110 socket , or should I plug it into my clean power inverter generator ? @@kirk4156 Those with a "early September" shipping will begin to have their bikes sent the second week of September and those with a "September shipping" can expect theirs to start shipping around the 4th week of September. All batches will take 7-10 days to have all of the bikes sent from the time we begin shipping. They sent that Aug 26. I'm still waiting for shipping info but I ordered close to the end of early September's pre orders

I've got a similar electric bike and bought it so that I can get around when I'm out in the camper if I don't want to drive the truck everywhere. It's fun, although it is a bit bulky when it's folded up. A bit of a sacrifice for the fat tires, but I think it's worth it. A good accessory to have is one of those rechargeable air compressors.
Did you test any of the spec's the company provided, or just assume their spec's are correct? That can be a problem with testing a bike they give you for 'free.' There are way too many "it might be" or "I think it can" opinions that were not tested to make this a legitimate evaluation.
Just ordered mine. I'm also 6'4 but weigh 250 lbs. How far will I be able to ride with my weight using only the throttle at top speed? I'm looking to lose a significant amount of weight this winter for health reasons, but for now i'm guessing 15 miles max.
I note that the fat tires would provide some shock protection (they increase rolling resistance but with the electric drive or electric-,assist that might not be a problem. Normal bike size wheels are always better, more stable, but these are better than tiny-wheel electric scooters..,..,...........Why do they promote "aluminum pedals" when the frame material is the critical factor? How much does it weight anyway?
I note from the website that it is not available now - not until Sept, and I doubt it's the first. ...I am interested but I prefer full specifications before I buy (like the power of the motor, the KW of the battery, etc). Despite a great many similar products on the market all of them that I've seen have some disadvantage or other - or some area of concern. 😎
If you haven’t got that answer already . Somewhere on the hundreds of reviews it will give a minimum max expected . Considering on the savings of Lectric XP compared to other bikes and the average user spends $500 on extras would be good to buy a extra battery at $300 . And take with you if you are going out for peace of mind especially if you use throttle a lot . I’m 170 lbs and getting 8 miles per charge bar or average 40 miles on half battery with low pedal assist for maximum exercise .
Velcro and a towel on the fender so they don't rub is a great choice. I also put one on my handlebars and took it into a apartment without it moving and being a hassel. I use a big beach towel so I won't put dirt on my friends carpet. He lives in a apartment and I love having the option to fold and not leaving till locked outside in the weather and risk of being stolen like all my past bikes. The elevator is to small for a full size bike and I have seen people stand a bike up on it's rear wheel but I don't have to deal with that anymore. The towels and Velcro straps go in my panier bag and off I go on whatever adventure or destination I either want to go or have to go.

If someone has difficulty breathing and is a candidate for a scooter do you think that an e-bike would B okay for them to use let's say instead of a scooter or do you think there's just too much effort in an e-bike and be better off with a scooter?
If you don’t have to fold and unfold the bike to store it, then I don’t see an issue with someone using that with breathing issues. The problem would be if you have to transport them and/or lift them regularly as they are quite heavy.
Do you think i could put it in the back seat of my plane? I have 2 and 3 motorcycles and a summer home and a truck camper and a twin engined boat. And ....I'm really really busy.....Now back to work.....Sorry... Don't have a beach nearby to ride on.
I am a female in my 80’s and still active. I have the Swagtron but no pedals and really needs a smooth surface for stability. I am very interested in the lectric fold bike. Compared to a regular bike, how easy is the peddling. I sold an old electric bike and it was heavy and hard to pedal without the motor. How heavy is this? Not sure if I could lift it.
It is very easy to pedal for me and the boys and I don't have a hard time lifting it into the RV but I know others have. They say they are 59 pounds with the battery which sounds high to me but I haven’t put it on a scale yet. I hope that helps.

what kind of bike rack did you use Carol? Is it hard to lift them up to mount on rack?

Great video, Jerrod. I discovered e-bikes last year and purchased a full-size fat-tire mountain e-bike. Yes, as you so eloquently described, "FUN" is the easiest way to describe riding an e-bike. I'm 70 and its like I'm a kid again riding my bike. You left out one key statistic - the weight. According to the Lectric website, the weight with battery is 59 pounds. Battery weight: 7 pounds - very respectable! Thanks for another entertaining and informative video.

Ordered and test rode in Phoenix AZ. Delivered 8/19. Talk to T an T at San Diego camp land they have two loved riding on the Beach and the sand hills.
$999 is on the web site, You might watch the UA-camr Louis Rossmann. He rides his electric bike between Brooklyn and Manhattan somewhat aggressively. Thye bike is not the focus of his videos but it appears fairly frequently. The electric bikes are speed limited to 19 mph in New York City.
After talking to Brent@Lectric I ordered 2 bikes at the end of August. They'll work great to put in the truck bed or travel trailer.

It is a very nice video Jared. I think these bikes are very good for most. But do you plan to review some high end e-bikes with middle motor. Hub motors are outdated and they don't perform well on hills.

We went to Bulow RV Park this last March for bike week. That is a nice place, we noticed the long driveway. The Bulow ruins was pretty cool to see also. Whenever we can afford some ebikes we will get them. They look cool👍
The whole time I was thinking, "That's all great but if it costs more than a good used motorcycle there's no point for me to consider it". Then you said $900! Well, now I have to consider getting one!
And no license or registration needed. You can also take them on most bicycle trails.
I have a Rad mini folding ebike and it has been incredible for my fulltime RV life. I fold it up and carry it in the back of my Ford Fiesta ( my tow car). I had amazing time with it in the desert this last winter. I do suggest that you Slime the tires before getting a flat tire.
I believe the Rad mini has street tires instead of the knobbies on this one. How do you like those tires? I'm considering a swap.
My bike has the 4 inch knobbies on it.. I love them ! It great in the desert/mountains/road..

Very nice. I have a Xiaomi M365 which is also fold able and I'm able to put it in a bag and it just fits underneath in my trailers storage area. Either way a bike or scooter are lots of fun.
You can easily double the range by buying a second battery for $300 and still be cheaper than any other. I don't know of a bike for under $2000 that has an 21 amp battery.
Jared, you didn't post the weight of this e-bike, so went on their site and found it to be 59 lbs. Pretty heavy to lift up and store if you don't have a toy hauler you can roll the bike into. At that weight, I would believe a handle and having the bike lock together would make it a little easier to handle the weight. However, very nice informative video like all of you videos. You do an excellent job with your dialogue as well.
Thanks Joe, it does actually have a handle but I find it easier to just lift it by the frame and the back rack when I put it in the side door. We don’t drop down the big door because we added insulation to it to cut down on heat transfer. When the bike is folded and I want to role it around I tip it back by the seat and role it forward. When you tip it, it surprisingly keeps everything lined up and is easy to push around.
Anyone know if this will folded in a trunk of car like the tlx?

I'm in the market for a foldable ebike. Although I'm leaning towards a 26" x 4" fat tire, step thru foldable bike. Only because I want to be able to ride it on asphalt bike trails as well and go a bit longer in distance. Otherwise, this Lectric bike would be key. One folding e-bike I saw uses magnets to hold the folded portions together.
I’m really interested in these but I’m a big man at 325lbs. I don’t think it could handle that. I’ve also looked at Rad Power Mini’s but it’s rated at 275lbs as well. Really don’t want to have to put a bike rack on my 5th wheel to carry a non-folding e-bike.

This is probably the most comprehensive Lectric XP vid I've seen, and i've seen score of them. The XP isn't perfect, but for the price, I LOVE MINE> Did you really have your PO8 setting at 70 ???? (PO8 45 gives you 28 mph)

Hi , great review. I have one ordered , if it works out will get another one , which it sure looks like I should have two . My question is , to recharge it when you're out camping , do you just plug it into your RV 110 socket , or should I plug it into my clean power inverter generator ? @@kirk4156 Those with a "early September" shipping will begin to have their bikes sent the second week of September and those with a "September shipping" can expect theirs to start shipping around the 4th week of September. All batches will take 7-10 days to have all of the bikes sent from the time we begin shipping.

I've got a similar electric bike and bought it so that I can get around when I'm out in the camper if I don't want to drive the truck everywhere. It's fun, although it is a bit bulky when it's folded up. A bit of a sacrifice for the fat tires, but I think it's worth it.
A good accessory to have is one of those rechargeable air compressors.
Did you test any of the spec's the company provided, or just assume their spec's are correct? That can be a problem with testing a bike they give you for 'free.' There are way too many "it might be" or "I think it can" opinions that were not tested to make this a legitimate evaluation.

How does it handle bumps and rough areas since it has no suspension? Is possible to add suspension?
Just ordered mine. I'm also 6'4 but weigh 250 lbs. How far will I be able to ride with my weight using only the throttle at top speed? I'm looking to lose a significant amount of weight this winter for health reasons, but for now i'm guessing 15 miles max.
I note that the fat tires would provide some shock protection (they increase rolling resistance but with the electric drive or electric-,assist that might not be a problem. Normal bike size wheels are always better, more stable, but these are better than tiny-wheel electric scooters..,..,...........Why do they promote "aluminum pedals" when the frame material is the critical factor? How much does it weight anyway?

I note from the website that it is not available now - not until Sept, and I doubt it's the first. ...I am interested but I prefer full specifications before I buy (like the power of the motor, the KW of the battery, etc). Despite a great many similar products on the market all of them that I've seen have some disadvantage or other - or some area of concern. 😎

If you haven’t got that answer already . Somewhere on the hundreds of reviews it will give a minimum max expected . Considering on the savings of Lectric XP compared to other bikes and the average user spends $500 on extras would be good to buy a extra battery at $300 . And take with you if you are going out for peace of mind especially if you use throttle a lot . I’m 170 lbs and getting 8 miles per charge bar or average 40 miles on half battery with low pedal assist for maximum exercise .

Congratulations on the bikes. We are on the east coast in Florida near Flagler Beach.
Velcro and a towel on the fender so they don't rub is a great choice. I also put one on my handlebars and took it into a apartment without it moving and being a hassel. I use a big beach towel so I won't put dirt on my friends carpet. He lives in a apartment and I love having the option to fold and not leaving till locked outside in the weather and risk of being stolen like all my past bikes. The elevator is to small for a full size bike and I have seen people stand a bike up on it's rear wheel but I don't have to deal with that anymore. The towels and Velcro straps go in my panier bag and off I go on whatever adventure or destination I either want to go or have to go.

If someone has difficulty breathing and is a candidate for a scooter do you think that an e-bike would B okay for them to use let's say instead of a scooter or do you think there's just too much effort in an e-bike and be better off with a scooter?
If you don’t have to fold and unfold the bike to store it, then I don’t see an issue with someone using that with breathing issues. The problem would be if you have to transport them and/or lift them regularly as they are quite heavy.

I am a female in my 80’s and still active. I have the Swagtron but no pedals and really needs a smooth surface for stability. I am very interested in the lectric fold bike. Compared to a regular bike, how easy is the peddling. I sold an old electric bike and it was heavy and hard to pedal without the motor. How heavy is this? Not sure if I could lift it.
It is very easy to pedal for me and the boys and I don't have a hard time lifting it into the RV but I know others have. They say they are 59 pounds with the battery which sounds high to me but I haven’t put it on a scale yet. I hope that helps.
