Another great video Rob.I messaged you a while back saying I was just starting out in the gardening bussiness, well it is going great plenty work atm and loving it and watch your videos is a great inspiration for me.Keep up the videos very helpful and informative 👍
I do John. A scarifier, it’s a beast. It’s not used as much as I would like. Going to push the advertising this year. I have never used a Weibang mower, although I hear good reviews. Go with your gut feeling and what ever your nearest dealer sells. All the best and good luck.
Nice one Rob. Small lawns are the best to start with when scarifying. You're not wrong about the amount of waste generated. Always good practice to price accordingly. We live and learn eh?
Another great video Rob. It seems from the other comments that you're quite an inspiration to new gardeners, and I am one of them. I look forward to the next video.
Great video Rob, love your honesty in all your videos. Not teaching you to suck eggs but you maybe better scarifying in straight lines rather than in circles and then go at a 45° to the first way untill you have removed the required amount 👍🏻 keep up the good work with the videos.
Another great video. So look forward to your new podcasts. Been thinking about investing in a scarifier, just not sure I'd get my money back. The majority of my customers aren't that bothered about the condition of their lawn. As long as it's cut and edged. I've done small lawns using the wolfgarten attachment. It's hard work. Often apply lawn tonic to some of my smaller lawns, I want them to look better/greener. Anyway, keep up the great work.. Steven. Willow Garden Services
Thanks for watching and your comment Steven. Your right it’s difficult getting people to spend money on scarification and treatments. It will take time for the machine to pay for itself. Have a great season, all the best. 👍🏻
A great purchase ! My advice based on doing many many satisfying jobs. Avoid wet days if at all costs it makes the job so much harder. Walk on the lawn before quoting, if it's really spongy you could be looking at 4 passes with clean-up in between each pass. But the widest landscape take you can find 3 to 4 ft wide, really helps with the clean up, though on bigger jobs the backpack blower is very useful. Always try and mow the lawn as short as you can first without tearing up the moss, the will make the scarifying a whole lot easier. Enjoy 😎
Great video rob and you have been a inspiration to us with all you tips and advice. We set up a grass cutting service last year and it’s coming along nicely 👍
Really enjoy your videos, I will be removing the moss in the garden at home in the next few weeks , I wouldn’t of even noticed if it wasn’t for your channel . Thank you . Hope you have a great week
Hi Rob. We had our lawns scarified last week. The lad always gathers up the moss and waste and puts it straight into our council garden bin. I’ve absolutely no problem with this as it’s my garden waste. Wouldn’t this save you time and money? Great to catch up as always, keep up the great work. 👍
Hi rob did the customer ask for you to do this? Is it a customer you go to regular? I think you brought the mover this season? You are busye then that’s good great video and job 👍 oh what trimmer do you use I having a lot of trouble with my string line.
Hi Rob isn't it a stihl RM650v you've got there, because I bought the same as you after you praising it. What a machine quality, that kohler engine is fantastic, I used it on some rough long grass with the mulching plug to test because I've got a job on a bit of rough, just went on slow speed worked like a champ. I've got some of the radio head phone like your can you get radio 2 ? There no easy to use. I like the scarifying.
@@markb1487 hi mark didn't stihl buy viking out, yours sounds like the 21" version of mine, because the stihl rm655v is 21" I could be wrong as I'm now mower expert, but I know a quality product to a pile of crap. I'm very happy with my little, orange bumble bee. 😊😊
Great vid as always Rob, I owe so much of my knowledge to you and this channel. Just started my first season as a gardener at age 23 along side my part time job as a receptionist and im loving it. My main question for you would be this. How do you deal with job requests for work/job types you haven't done before? For example i have a customer than wants some over seeding on a lawn and its not something ive done before so ive no clue where to start with pricing up the work and how well id be able to complete the work in practice, Id say its something i only know how to do in theory. Hopefully ive worded that in a way that at least makes some sense. All the best for the rest of the season and i look forward to the next video as always!
Scarifier looks, great. But it's a weibang. So it's going to be. On your recommendation I bought the Darlec big hands last year. Fantastic. Money well spent! My purchases so far this year is the EGO battery strimmer. Light and powerful. Just what I need with a broken wrist. Keep up the good work buddy 👍
Thanks for watching and your comment . I hope you wrist heals quickly. Good luck with the Ego kit. Personally I am not a fan, I don’t feel it offers good value. All the best.
It’s the initial cost that puts me off. I don’t want to pay double that of a stihl fs 70. However, once my petrol kit gives up, fingers crossed it will be a few years down the track , I will then look at the battery kit. Take care Gary.
Great video, thanks Rob
Your welcome Diane. Thanks for watching and your comment.
What a great channel this is Rob.
You deserve all the success that comes your way. Throughly enjoy all your videos, all the very best.
Thank you for the kind words.
good job Rob
Thanks Robbie. Always appreciate your comments. 👍🏻
Hi Rob, glad to see your liking the new scarifer. A solid looking machine 💪.
It’s a great bit of kit, really happy with it. All the best.
I love the job that machine does mate and the edge you put on with the strimmer.
Thanks David, appreciate your comment. All the best.
great work Rob! Glad ti hear youre still busy at work mate ;-) take care all the best
Thanks Sean. All the best for the season.👍🏻
Great video Rob, that wolf garten attachment is brilliant for the smaller hard to reach areas!

Hi Rob This is John from Ireland again, I commented on your latest video earlier,, so you own at least 0ne welbang product, 😀

Hi Rob just a quick question do you have a care of duty waste transfer note to take to a commercial waste centre
A great purchase !
My advice based on doing many many satisfying jobs.

Thanks for a great comment, sound advice. All the best.
Well young man see you walking the roast beef dinner??? Has spring sprung long days and grumpy mrs wif muckey boots in hall🤪
Yes yes spring is here. All the best.
Love the videos rob

Great to hear Ian. All the best.

Thank you . Hope you have a great week
Thanks for your kind words.👍🏻
Now you need to invest in aerator as well. Sanding plus aeration plus detaching plus seeding and top soiling will make any lawn perfect.
Thank you for your wise words.
Hi Rob, great video! One question would you use grass weed killer before scarifying if you are then going to overseed? Cheers all the best.
Don’t use weed killer if you going to over seed.
Good luck. 👍🏻
Great job.
Thank you . 👍🏻
Another great video Rob .top job
Thanks COLIN all the best.

There was too much moss for the bin. I price the waste into the job. All the best.
I scarified a customers lawn and we took away 15 ton bags of moss, that was a long day !
Great video Rob. That scarifier did a great job. Its always surprising how much moss is removed.
Your right Hanes. All the best.
I got a pair of those Darlacs great for the price !
Good for you James. I hope they serve you well. All the best.

Thanks for the comment and watching. I would stay clear of jobs I am not competent at. You could try on your own lawn and see how it goes. Good luck.
👏👏👏
Thanks
I made the mistake if offering to scarify a whole lawn with that wolfgarten tool, in my lack of experience, wow what a graft!
Rather you than me . Thanks for watching and your comment.
I did the same 3 hours non stop. Felt like I had been filled in.
It does look like it takes a lot of rubbish from the lawn, it would be great to see it again in a few months.
I will try and do a follow up video. 👍
looks great, boy you work fast 😆
Lol. Thanks
Your right. All the best.

most of the lawns i do desperately need that doing ,but there is no way my customers would pay for it done,
