    The biggest pain is finding the next video... do you ever go back and add links for us? Hard to find this video from the last one... but it was worth it, sorta. Thx.

    Wow you just sped through that one as fast as you could. Glad there's a pause button.

    These sort of small real projects are always excellent for learning. And it's also very satisfying to fix or customize something to your needs.

      Agree! Its so nice to be able to just draw up a replacement part and print it out and BOOM - Ready for the next gig!

    Good job. suggestion: for multiple part video's use the same heading then the section number. with different titles it is hard to find the next part. also adding links to the description would help.

      @@matthiasvaillancourt8877 Thanks for the feedback - we cover extrudes, cuts, fillets, and shells earlier in this playlist, so I figured to keep the video duration down I would timelapse that section. But happy to answer any questions you have on what steps I was doing! And I appreciate the feedback too - always looking for ways to improve the videos and I appreciate the insight!

      @@TooTallToby Yeah, it's too fast to be functional. I'd wager a lot of folks are looking for a systematic guide to follow within your individual videos, but -- as noobs. If you assumed no knowledge I think people would enjoy these more, especially given how basic the part is. Just my 2cents, you have an amazing product for sure.

    You were doing greatexplaining the how and why on the first half, but then the second half you went full speed and lost me. Not being ungrateful, I appreciate the video but it took a lot of pausing and rewind to follow along.

      thanks for the feedback John! Very much appreciated! I have some other videos where I do full out "step by step" tutorials, so I decided to speed this one up to keep the overall duration a little shorter (and to avoid too much repetition). But It's great to hear that these step by step guides are useful, and I'll definitely avoid the time lapse stuff in the future videos! thanks again for the great feedback!

    Brilliant video and just what I need to try and replicate a part but being new to on shape find the latter part way to fast to follow. Could you do a slower version that people could actually follow live? That would so useful for newbies. Keep up the good work!

    Great video, but where you do a cut extrude is exactly where i want to learn how to do that, but you go too fast and even trying to slow the video is not working. So can you do that part again slowly??

    • @v1ncen715
      @v1ncen715 Рік тому

      He is creating a sketch with the outline of what he wants to remove, then does a normal extrude but uses 'remove' instead of 'add' in the extrusion settings. This cuts away the profile from the part...

    Bezier is a nice tool. Didn't know it was that easy. Beats clicking a million points using the spline tool as I've been doing. Short videos are nice but the pace really picked up on some of the subsequent steps. Maybe too much. At any rate, useful video!

    The shape you end up with does not look like the original in that you seem to have lost the slope to the toe. Looking forward to see if this is corrected in the next exciting instalment and thanks for all your hard work in putting these together.

      Thanks for the feedback! I was making a lot of videos for this playlist, so for this one I was trying to balance "video length" against being "too repetitive". But I've gotten a lot of feedback indicating that the users would prefer a longer video, if it meant they'd be able to see all the picks and clicks (without speeding things up) so I'll definitely keep that in mind for future videos!
