no, not manila. it's urban hell here. it just looks pretty with the sunset on the video (i'm being honest i swear). philippines is beautiful but visit the islands like boracay, siargao, palawan, etc. basically where all the beaches/cliffs/nature are at. if you're a mountain person, then you will be in for a treat too (baguio, sagada, mount apo, etc.). but NEVER the city. don't waste your money here.
@@user-vc6zf7zz5lManila is still nice and it’s like a huge southeast Asian city. There wont be as much traffic as you’ll think even if it’s very densely populated and you can get some great luxurious accommodation there for a great price! There are lots of restaurants there that offer great cuisine so it isn’t bad at all!
I like that portion of the video showing the entire Metro Manila between Manila Bay and Laguna Lake.
My favourite feeling of joy...watching manila come into view as you land..i am from UK but this feels like home
Wow what a beautiful city Manila is! Not even landing in many cities such as NYC, San Salvador, Havana, Chicago, Houston or Newark have I seen such beautiful skyline.
What you see is Metro Manila........which is 17 different cities all adjacent.
I would rather be landing there than taking off! Besides, taking off and leaving the adjacent beautiful islands, the people, food, colours etc is never desirable. Some people with nothing or the most simplistic of lives, but the happiest I’ve ever encountered are here! I long to end the last years of my life on a small deserted beech side hut there, an old motorbike to get down the market on, fresh fruit to pick off the trees and fish to catch! Throw the Passport and past complexities of my western life in the sea and just sit and watch the sun set & rise until my last breath! Back I hope in 2021. 😃
Whenever I fly back here to USA 🇺🇸 from Philippines, I cried. 😢 ..... Sometimes I almost don’t want to leave. Hope you had the best flight ✈️

I really miss the Philippines. I was supposed to be in the Philippines in May-June 2020, but was cancelled due to Covid 19. Hope this will be over soon, so I can visit my family.

You’ve got to love that skyline! But I have to say, I hate that feeling you get when while looking out the window of the plane, a part of you wished you could’ve just stayed there but then you realise the plane was taking off and you’re at the point of no return.

Wow! This was awesome. I live in Iloilo and have taken off from NAIA many times but not at this time of day (just after sunset) I never knew the buildings were lit up so colourful at night. Excellent zoom shots also.
It`s been a year now since I been in the Philippines and I am just aching to go back. Hopefully things change for the better soon. Thanks for sharing.

This was spectacular indeed. Clear skies at dusk and all those lights. Lucky too that the aircraft went around the city the way it did. Wind direction on take off was in your favor.

Quite strange that most high rise office buildings looked dark here while condos and other high rises were brightly lit up. But considering the date this was taken (Dec 31), the reason might be because it was a holiday that time

ITS CALLED MANILA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.
I saw the date 31.12.2019.. I was in Hong Kong airport that time and COVID was already in Wuhan (they still dont know its COVID tho) but the message warning in the airport stated to avoid Wuhan markets because of "pneumonia outbreak" then after few months COVID already went global and shutdown almost all flights.
Duration of the Flight?
Last time I was in Manila December 2019 I've been traveling since 2010 from Los Angeles, California and have been there about 15 times staying in Makati at BSA Tower Condominium just across the Greenbelt Mall, Legaspi Village. 😊
Makati and the Greenbelt...super nice but a bit pricey....with some research you may find reasonable accommodation.
