It's honestly baffling how good the bossfight design is in this game for Roguelike standards, especially considering that SPD is barebones compared to stuff like CDDA or ToME. There's only five of them but they don't miss a beat.
I do have to agree, I've played the other mods and it's kind of a nightmare with some occasionally, granted that was like 3-5 years ago so they might be better

I like to think of those heavy drum sounding noises in the beginning as DM-300 breaking through a wall to reach the room. It isn't in the room when you arrive after all
The boss is very fun for me to fight, and the music feels so rewarding for getting this far in the dungeon! I like the beginning of the song that it's like a "danger danger you're in deep $#@! now" and it becomes more of a balanced epic battle at the end of the loop. A very well crafted song!!
@@ВікторТроцай Bro all of these (except Alchemy Toolkit) are good, with chalice just camp in the pylon "rooms" for infonite healing, and Rose can be used as a distraction/ viable offense, since ghost buddy is immune to gases
@@TarzHel problem is, chalice is useless for me because I'm going for 6 challenge run and that means I'm starving a lot of the time. Also I kinda respect alchemy toolkit because it's easy to level up and use a scroll of transmutation

When i first fought DM-300 i got super mad cuz he was SO hard. Now that im an expert in the game i try to hope i have haste potions and speed seeds to make sure powered DM-300 doenst end my life
I'll always remember that one time when while being super charged (i.e. invincible), DM-300 drilled through the outer wall of the arena and instantly died :D I didn't know it was even possible lol
