Entourage is far too big. When are these ladies going to learn that having a whole committee with an opinion means too many opinions. Bring 2 or 3 at most trusted friends. If I were wedding dress shopping I have only 1 person I would take with me, 2 if my sister in law is available LOL

Agree. I'd bring my daughter and my sister. That's it. I love my mom but she's not the type who'd want to even be involved, so she wouldn't be hurt to be left at home. Too many people equals too many opinions and it just causes feelings to be hurt.
I was hollering at the screen, WAY too many people. You can't even get four people to agree on pizza toppings, why would you bring 12 people to throw out opinions on your wedding dress??

the meaning has shifted in modern day. It really means just going to the courthouse without the hullaballoo of a reception or wedding. Sometimes it referrers to a small courthouse wedding. But it doesn't really mean to do it secretly anymore. Kind of like the term gay used to mean happy or queer used to mean weird. Where as now both refer to the LGBT community.

When my daughter went to see wedding dresses, she wanted just her and me. It was the most emotionally wonderful time of my life. We were the only opinions that mattered to her. The dress she ultimately decided was "the one" brought tears of joy. She was a beautiful bride.

Why is that weird? She and her husband decided that they want to travel to get married and it just be the two of them. The term "eloping" now doesn't mean that it has to be a spur of the moment. It just means an intimate ceremony at a nice location.

eloping is just getting married at the courthouse without the party and wasting of money. It's not a wedding when you go to the courthouse. It's a 10 min signing of papers and saying vows to your spouse and going home.

Some people don’t have good moms and that’s one reason why they elope.
Some brides don't want too many family members to come. Brides would be obliged to invite distant family members - plus they want to avoid drama.
Eloping is quick and intimate
Some reasons why is because the family does not approve (which is what my second brother did as my whole family did not approve of his wife), they want it quick and fast, they have a bad relationship with family, etc.
Why? It's not about them? It's about the bride. The mum should be happy her daughter is happy and that's it. My mum got married at the courthouse. I did too. There's no reason to spend a ton of money on a wedding when it's about the couple and nothing more.
The dress she picked is okay
I thought the dress that she said yes to had the same kind of "poochy" mid-section as the one Miranda Lambert pointed out on the first short dress. So I don't understand why they all loved the second short dress that she ultimately ended up choosing.

So let me get this straight: she brought her friends/ bandmates along to help pick a wedding dress. But they’re not invited to the wedding? Why the fuck are you asking for their opinion if they don’t even get to see you walk down the aisle in the dress?? It’s so stupid.
Also it’s annoying how you invite so many people to help pick a dress because ultimately peer pressure will make you pick something you probably don’t want. Just take a handful of friends and say fuck it when they don’t like what you like. They’re there to help YOU pick a dress for YOU. The bride has to keep remembering that they’re the one wearing the dress, not the bridesmaid.

Dress #1 is fine, I don’t think it suits her that well though.
2nd is better but she has broad shoulders and big boobs, the strapless look doesn’t suit her…sorry.
