- This video portrays a day in the life of Bob and Hallie Crawford. Since opening its doors in 1962, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has made great discoveries on how to treat deadly childhood diseases like cancer, saving the lives of kids around the world. Families never pay St. Jude for anything, but it costs 1.8 million dollars to operate the hospital every day and because 75% of St. Jude's funding comes from public contributions, we need your help. I probably cried about 3 times during this. As much as one of my twins' has been in the hospital for something that is infinitesimally less serious, it is still too easy to put myself in Bob's place. 5 Days a week of this? Strength!

Iv been a big fan of the Avett Brothers band for many years, their passion and words have helped me become a better person and understand myself better...I have a 5 yr old daughter and I get tears when Im at their shows and to see Bob there with us (fans) giving so much of himself, knowing his little one is sick....Love be with all of you (bob, scott, seth, joe)

Truly touching. If anyone has ever needed help putting life into perspective they should watch this. As a fellow musician I consider Bob a role model. His strength extends to his daughter and to his music.

I lost my mom and husband in 2009 and 2010, they lived a life whether difficult or trying , they lived into their grown up years, my older sister, Marilyn was born small with congenital heart condition, she was operated at nine years old, although didn't make it through, first being on digitalis medicine. God does watch over the children, I pray the medical people are in good conscious as well. Be gentle with children , there searching for the true meaning of their life, Be well

So your god can "heal" her ... why did your cruel, evil deity give her cancer or not prevent it in the first place? I get so tired of the "god only does good things" mentality ... Let's face it; it is all mythology. There is zero proof for the existence of supernatural creatures.
Thank you for sharing this with us! Hallie is beautiful and your love for her shows in your face every time you look at her. Thank God for Danny Thomas's dream, St Judes reality. I have many friends that work there, extremely difficult yet rewarding work. Miracles are performed there everyday and I will be praying for your family as well as all the families at St Jude. The video helps me remember to give just a little more to St Jude and hope it helps others to remember as well. God Bless!

I'm so glad he shared this with us. I know this doesn't compare AT ALL, but my son was just diagnosed as dyslexic, and his twin sister AND his older brother and sister are just fine. I have been wondering how I will cope with this, and I stumble upon this video...2 days before I will be seeing you lovely lads live at Key Arena in Seattle. Thank you for helping me see that every child is different (my Liam doesn't have the same issue as Bob's Hallie) but they inspire me
Thank you for sharing this, it is only a part of what you all go through during cancer treatment. St. Jude treats the child medically, but they also treat the family. I have seen a friend first hand go through the process with her 4 year old who will be 6 this year and had his no mo chemo party a few months ago. Knowing about St. Jude and actually seeing the amazing things they do are so different. I pray for you and your family as I do all of the kids of St. Jude.
Hallie is so beautiful and so strong. I have a chronic illness for which there is no cure. I understand days in and out of the hospital. Praying for you and your family! It is tough, but "I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us." (Romans 8:18)

Bobby, I cried after watching your video, thinking about that i was JEALOUS of your life for years now, and even have our own signed Folk band ourselves, Black Water boogie, and now, my ego was put so far in its place, I donated 10$ as soon as it finished, and wow, I cant beieve how well you take it as well as how you STILL make such BEautiful bass and vocal tracks. I earned a BRAnd NEW outlook on life, and pened my mind wathing this.
