My father (1915-2000) was born in Uddingston, the son of a miner and one of nine children all of whom survived into adulthood. He never lived to see UA-cam but he would have been very moved by this archival film. To think that not a trace of Bothwellhaugh survives !
I miss you so much Uncle Joe and Aunt Isabel please check the stone memorial cairn at the loch side Isobel grew up in remaining white single floor building at the parks maintenance compound.
A real sense of community, even the dogs ran with the kids and played alongside. Kids all waiting on the scramble lol. I don't think we'll ever see the same again. :(

The buildings far more intricate & interestingl built than blank-fronted modern boxes. They must have been more fun to live in!
