- The important thing to know when you change the batteries on the blink video doorbell is that the little key to remove the doorbell is not good and you will need to use a small flathead screwdriver.

I just spoke with the blink help on the phone and he said use NON rechargeable batteries. Due to safety hazard ???
Interesting. I’ve never heard of that yet I’ve been using them this whole time. But I would have to say they know better than me so I would say to listen to them and not me. Although I will still be using rechargeable due to cost. I’m going to do a video on it. My experience with rechargeable and non rechargeable batteries have shown the life is very similar. If I go through 2 non rechargeable batteries every month it will cost more than the camera very quickly. I would be interested in hearing what exactly is the safety risk. Thanks for the comment!
How long do the batteries last when you use these Amazon rechargeables?
I used these Amazon batteries gully charged. As soon as I put these in, it shows me to replace batteries….
To remove the cover you simply push up gently with the tool supplied (or with a screwdriver of similar width)on the light grey 2 prongs that are in the hole shown in the video. There is no need to lever or use any force!
This… it literally took 5 seconds to remove doing it this way lol
What happened to your Eufy doorbell?
It seemed to have get less effective after 1 year of use.

But I moved it to my backdoor and it seems to be working better with less light from the street.
My Eufy wireless doorbell camera died 4 months after purchase 2023. Still shopping for something reliable.

The key does work to take the doorbell off. Your just not doing it right. Shove it up there while pulling up on door bell
