Today I want to present you a very nice piece, top condition of a pocket watch.
The watch looks like just left the Factory.
It seems like this watch has never been used. I present to you one very interesting exemplar of a brand IWC - INTERNATIONAL WATCH SCHAFFHAUSEN, one of the biggest makers of the watches in the world, impressive dial, the case is in UNIQUE CONDITION WITH NIELLO looks like new.
We can date this watch with very good precision, a watch is made in year 1914, this means that the watch is about 106 years old and it is still in very good working condition, just has been serviced by a professional watchmaker and work very accurate. In full winding, the watch works for about 30 - 31 hours.
This watch was wind up over 5 times and it works until completion of the entire course of the mainspring, so I can confirm that watch runs very precise and showed no defects.
This watch looks and works very well, I think that every collector would love to own it, or can be a very good present.
Now I will divide this watch to categories.
The case:
Solid silver NIELLO CASE (0.900) of this watch is in very clean condition, there are no dents or scratches on the case and cover, for sure there are no serious injuries from dropping or impact.
Very tight and pretty covers, like the watch, just coming out from the factory.
The glass is absolutely no scratches on it and it is real glass what it should be.
EACH AND EVERY ELEMENT OF THIS POCKET WATCH CASE HAS A STAMP FOR "0.900" SOLID SILVER.
On the inside of the cover on a silver case (FIRST BIG ONE), there are inscriptions "IWC - INTERNATIONAL WATCH SCHAFFHAUSEN - PROBUS SCAFUSIA" , "HALF CRESCENT MOON WITH CROWN " AND "SERIAL NUMBER - 689461"
ALL WATCH STAMPS MADE IN SWITZERLAND
Inside of the middle cover (dust cover), there are inscriptions "IWC - INTERNATIONAL WATCH SCHAFFHAUSEN - PROBUS SCAFUSIA" , "HALF CRESCENT MOON WITH CROWN " AND "SERIAL NUMBER - 689461"
The crown is silver tone in perfect working condition, very tight good, the bow is very tight also very good condition.
The serial number of the case is: 689461
The movement:
I can safely say this is rarely seen and
very well - preserved movement.
The movement is completely cleaned and oiled, it works very good and has been tested for a period of time and shows very good results. The movement is composite of 1 main plate and 3 bridges, one bridge which holds balance wheel, a second one which holds mainspring, the third bridge hold the escape wheel, they all create the movement of the watch.
To clean it every one part was disassembled, cleaned and oiled, then placed back very precisely.
The watch movement runs slow for about 20 - 27 seconds for every 24 hours which is a very good achievement.
For that time a well-working pocket watch gave a difference of 2 - 3 minutes in 24 hours, as watches have been adjusted every day.
The balance running very strong, absolutely perfect condition.
THE BALANCE WHEEL REGULATOR IS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE, AS IT SHOULD BE AFTER SERVICE.
That movement has 15 Jewels, this means that the movement has 15 precious stones (15 rubies), the stones are on the places where it is large friction in order to protect the metal from abrasion.
Inscriptions on the movement are:
"IWC - INTERNATIONAL WATCH SCHAFFHAUSEN - PROBUS SCAFUSIA"
and serial number.

About the Chain:
One very well-preserved silver T-bar pocket watch solid silver 0.925 Albert chain.
Very rare Pencil - pendant.
Each and every one of the links of the chain is hallmarked with "LION PASSANT ENGLISH STAMP SHOWING PURITY OF SILVER - 0.925.
We can characterize this chain with the fact that it still looks like new for a very old chain.
T-bar is located at the end of the chain.
Chain length: 12 inches - 30.5 cm.
The chain weighs: 31.6 grams.
This is a great chain and every collector would love to own it.
About the Box:
Very nice pocket watch box.
SIZE: 110x90x25mm.
The dial:
It has black Arabic numerals, on a white background, Very beautiful dial.
The dial is in perfect condition with no damages and no visible cracks on it.
The subs-dial has black Arabic numerals and dashes, also very clean condition.
There are no fingerprints on the dial.
Inscription on the dial: INTERNATIONAL WATCH CO - SCHAFFHAUSEN
The hands:
Blue stainless steel hands shape of a peak at the end in perfect condition.
Minute hand also extended, ending exactly in a circle.
Very well-preserved condition.
They are made in Swiss classic style.
Measurements and Weighs:
Watch weighs: 98.00 grams / 3.15 oz/troy ounces
The chain weighs: 31.6 grams/ 1.01 oz/troy ounces
The diameter of the watch is 52.88mm. - 2.082 inches. Excluding the crown.
13.74mm. - 0.541 inches. in depth.
