I first saw REO Speedwagon almost 53 years ago, 1969, Champagne Illinois, Red Lion Club…The members have changed a bit, but you knew then they were going to go somewhere because of the guitar player Gary Richrath. Honestly, he made REO Speedwagon stand out above all other bands in that area. They did make it too, especially with the Kevin Cronin’s vocals, the keyboard player who’s been there from day 1, Neal Doughty, bassist Bruce Hall, and all the other guys of course. Thank You and R.I.P GARY RICHRATH!!!
These guys are so underestimated, the quality of the song writing and arrangements are absolutely class. No orphan songs every song is part of there individual integrity and shows a respect they show there fans. Awesome and listen to how good they are live, CLASS
This date is very significant to my wife and I. Her and I celebrated our anniversary at this show. My wife and I live only an hour north of this venue. In 2022 this hallowed place/ski resort, celebrated 50 years of operation and it is still going strong. Thanks to whoever posted this fantastic video. Still very weird to see Kevin Cronin with blonde hair. Bizarre 😮
Give him a hand clap for still being solid and stand up for REO. MAN, at least he can sing and wants to. I applaud you and thank you. NO ONE stays young forever unless it's in the 💓.2020 Oklahoma girl
Mi banda preferida,la escucho desde 1984,es mi verdadera maquina del tiempo, por que me da muchos buenos recuerdos..y esta canción me tele-transporta al pasado..que viva por siempre reo speedwagon.
these guys are awesome after all these years. i grew up with them and still listen to their songs. RIP Gary Richrath. They dont make music like this anymore these days in the 21st century. most of the best music was in the 70, 80 and 90's. this is real, raw talent.
Kevin seems like such an awesome dude. This is one of my favorite songs my band covers and we also stop at the end and let the crowd sing and it's such a kickass feeling man!! Everyone vibing and having a good time. gotta love it!

Awsome. Not this song, but they wrote the best love line, ever- "You are a candle in the widow on a cold dark winter's night:" OK tell me I am wrong. Absolute best line ever.
@@catfatherb2072 yer mixing things up since we're talking about his song capabilities, not the audience's participation. Furthermore, watch the video and you'll see that there are a good bunch of people there, filming with their cellphones.

He using auto tune? If not holy shit he is good
Nah, he doesn't. I know, it's like he has an auto tune built in 😳
Nope, it's called audience participation, it was this thing before everyone had their nose in a cellphone at concerts.
@@catfatherb2072 yer mixing things up since we're talking about his song capabilities, not the audience's participation. Furthermore, watch the video and you'll see that there are a good bunch of people there, filming with their cellphones.
Nope. He’s flat on the chorus every time. And yes it’s still an outstanding performance open your ears.
Kr0w5f33t 7 how can you tell its flat? I always wondered how people know when songs are in a different key as well?
Sometimes....a girl still gotta "Take it ON THE RUN"
Even when you aren't they still spread the rumors...don't make a liar put of 'em! Don't cheat....but enjoy and embrace single life!!
Not the same without Gary! R.I.P Gary, thank you.
