Really enjoyed this Boogie. It's nice to see genuine emotion. I watched a couple of Markiplier's videos of him looking back on old videos and what happens is that he doesn't blink for 15 minutes so that he can shed a tear, get youtube riches and plan his next one. This was like watching videos with an old friend.
Spectre v13 Ehhh i genuinely think Mark really puts his heart and soul into what he does just as much as Boogie, Mark just seems to be the more emotional type, which i don't mind, it makes you remember he's human.
***** Markiplier does amazing charity work, which cannot be denied. He's raised a huge amount of money for charity and is all round a good guy. It's just the fact he ends up in tears in every one of his thank you videos, and when he looks at past videos he's again in tears, it just seems very formulaic. Hey, I might be totally wrong but that's just my impression of him.
Goes to show that my favorite big UA-camrs, and in my opinions some of the best if not the best UA-camrs, didn't start out professionally at all. They started out with random, basic, and even stupid videos because they just wanted to do it for fun and didn't think it would spiral out of control to what it is today :)
James Oh Burn I don't really think that he realized that :D I just can't imagine a 9 year old watching his videos.. Mostly kids in that age watch how someone in their early 20s plays minecraft.. atleast thats what the kids in my region in germany are doing.
Unique and Hilarious Username True but it had just never even entered my mind that someone that young would enjoy his type of satire, or perhaps they just like seeing Francis rage not even knowing it's a character
It's great seeing just some random guy with stupid videos become what you are today! It's nice to be able to show people that you DO have what it takes to be somebody. Anyone who is afraid to put themselves out there, just remember that the people you look up to and respect today had to start in your position. YOU CAN DO IT!
***** You has to learn to steal. Our large girth makes it easy to empty half a store out under our shirts. Especially in a cold climate and a large jacket.
The good old days of youtube 2006-2007: 30% naruto videos, 30% reaction videos (2girls1cup, etc), and 40% vlogs and funny sketches. Gaming on youtube didnt really take off until 2011.
gerry gandre gerry Then after that era came the copyrighted techno music by youtube that played over each video that had a copyright claim (aka: youtubes national anthem)
It drives me nuts that youtubers always assume their sub base is nothing but 10 year olds. Boogs, for some of us to not be alive yet when you uploaded your first video, they'd have to be 9 years old or younger. You really think you have that many viewers that are 9 years or younger??
Lyndan Actually, he may be going off of what his analytics are telling him. You can divide your viewer base into age range demographics when you put your age into Google+, so my age range is like 18-24 years old. He may have a wide viewer base that are early adolescent (13-17) according to viewer demographics.
God i can remember those videos...i use to binge-watch and rewatch boogie videos for hours. I started watching your channel 5 years ago, boogs. Always been a huge fan, you've inspired me to keep gaming and to keep being myself! I've always had a connection with you, in my mind at least since you don't know who i am, you're a friendly face and a comfort at the end of long, stressful days. Keep doing what you're doing.
@@andrewtemple614 same here. I miss the late 2000s. I used to be happier playing my Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, play outside with friends back in elementary, eat Lays and Kool Aid during lunch 🥺
People change. It *is* weird to see old shit of yourself, and think back at the things you did and who you were. You don't think you change too much, but you really, really do.
Man this is a trip! I've been watching you since your first Jessy video. And boy, I was young at the time. Not even 10. And here we are now. A better place! Love ya Boogie
I Think i Can say this on behalf of all your fans that we are very proud of you and that you have come a long Way since then. Keep the up the good work man.
Nobody fucking knows man, even if I search it there is no answer. Just like when I asked who kept calling me an owl. Like who! Called me a fuckn owl who!!!!. I'm gonna go drink some bleach now.
I found you about the time you did the 2nd Jesse video, and I haven't stopped watching since! I love you to the moon and back Boogie!! Your videos have helped and inspired me in my personal life, as well as my gaming life. You are my main source for gaming and MTG news. Stay classy brotha.
I loved it, I love your game store videos as well. A few months ago I went back to see what your first videos where and I found the game store ones. I love anything related to in store mishaps/joking about. Seeing places like that is cool.
Aahh... I remember watching these videos back in 2006. You were the only youtuber I cared about at that time. This is an awesome trip through memory lane. Do some of these videos... I feel nostalgic for some reason.
Boogie I owe you a huge apologie. The first video of yours I saw was Francis reacting to the world at war video. Without any knowledge of who you are I left a nasty comment or two. It was wrong of me. Watching your videos over the years I have seen you are a great person. Much better person then I. So I hope you can accept my apology. You keep rocking.
dude i just want to say that i love your videos and you are a great guy. ill be supportive to you through the rough. you truly are an awesome person and if anyone ever gives you hate its because they are jealous. and if anyone ever tells you that your worthless just know that your not, you deserve to live every minute of your life the way you want to live it :)
Haven't been long enough but from what I can see you have came a long way man and boy I'm I happy for you bro keep it up and I hope you keep prospering the way you are Ima keep rocking with you brotha u put up great content
The original "World of Warcraft is DOWN" video was the first of yours that I saw. When I was playing WoW it got posted on my guild forums and you had an instant subscriber. Been watching most of your videos ever since!
I really enjoyed this :) I hadn't gone back very far in your videos when I first started watching you, but it was cool to see what some of your first videos were like
Some weird type of nostalgia from seeing all that, brings me back to being 8 years old watching all this and then tabbing over to Runescape for uncountable hours.
I think It's great to go back and look/listen to all your old crap. It really shows how far you have came and it makes you say "What the...hell was I smoking at the time"
I remember I found the video with you eating french fries, sometime in 2008 or 2009 and at the time, I hated you (lol), but the last couple of years, I've really enjoyed your content and you're such a wonderful person, Boogie. It was awesome to see some of these older videos.
i stumbled upon one of your videos, i don't know how, it was the one where you (as "Francis") demolished your xbox because of guitar hero. that's when i subscribed to you. keep up the fucking awesome shit you do, you rock, bro!
I really loved the Jesse character and I hope you bring him back someday. And I loved this video too! It was fun to see your reactions to your old stuff.
This was great. Keep doing them as long as you enjoy them. The first video that I saw you in was the Francis on Christmas Eve lightsaber shenanigans. A friend of mine heard about it on the Internet Box podcast, and at the time we had a professor that neither of us liked whose name had the same syllable meter as "QuiGonn Jinn".
You make me motivated to start another day in this game called life. You inspire me and you have all of the same moments I have had and I truly think that you are one of the funniest, outgoing UA-camr I have ever seen. You make me laugh when I am sad and you have really made me a better person and I just want to thank you personally. Thank you... 😌
I remember some of these actually, after watching your Error 37 Diablo 3 vid I went back through and started watching all your videos and I loved those ones of you at the game store with your friends, that was so hilarious! It reminded me of me and my friends. Good times!
I'm 27. Still, the first vid of yours I ever saw was the guitar hero freak out. It wouldn't be for a little while later that you'd blow up and make it to a million subscribers. And that was five years after your very first video. I think it's not just because you stop self deprecating that you're still around, but because you worked at it long enough to know what works and what doesn't. Good on ya for working so hard, boogie.
I really love it when UA-camrs do these kinds of videos. It just amazes me to see just how far some people have come, and you certainly are one fantastic example. 2006 was a FAR different time than now. Some of that stuff that was hilarious just kind of died slowly like you had said... Except Mystery Science Theater 3000, that is genius. But that being said, I'm very happy with what you do now, I love to listen to all of your opinions and my friends do too... And with all this being said, here's a request How about looking at your old Francis stuff?
Proud to say I've been there from the beginning of Francis i loved the channel before Francis with the Jessy weights in on Twilight. Love this channel and you a great guy Boogie, your one of the last great UA-camrs!
You looked so awe struck at the old days. But I am sure it must be weird travelling back that far for you especially given the paths travelled to youtube success. Great video, and I hope to see you do another one like this in another decade!
I was 4 years old when you uploaded your first video. Never did I know you would be one of my favorite people in the world. I enjoyed memory lane boogie I hope we have many years to go.
Its great to see a retrospective..I love that you have a record to be able to look back on yourself. I wish I did and I'm sure I would be as amazed at myself as I think you were. :)
I was 8 when you started in 2006 and started somewhere in 2007-2008 and seeing what's happened to youtube since then has been one hell of a ride. For those who sees my channel and saying I actually started in 2011, that ain't true, I've been on UA-cam longer than 2011 and I just switched to this channel and the other one was deleted.
I'm glad you decided to keep making videos and took your own route on UA-cam ^^ I wouldn't say any of the videos were cringe-y, I was more smiling cause of how much of yourself you were being xD Nerdy, laughing with friends, playing games with friends. Ahhh keep those videos always :D
I was on dial up internet in 2007, but somehow I managed to still upload a couple videos, man that took forever! I would just leave it on all day uploading lol
Usually I find these videos annoying but I LOVED this one, I usually like any video content that boogie does just because I like seeing his personality. *3 thumbs up* :)
I enjoyed this a lot, to see how you started out. I remember seeing a Francis vid about 4 years ago and thinking it was real!! Made me laugh and wince at the same time. Iv been on youtube since 2005 (just doing crap) and could never imagine having success like you Boogie. Fair play to you, best wishes from Wales in the UK.
Pretty gutsy to go back and look at videos of yourself from years ago. I couldn't do this, I am not nearly comfortable enough with myself (I don't even like the sound of my voice when I hear it recorded). You're looking more healthy in these recent videos by the way, this one especially. Take care Boogs.
Damn, those Gallery of Champions videos brought back some memories.... I really miss that old shop, and John. I need to come play some magic with you some time some time soon, if you still remember me (I haven't seen you since Gallery of Champions closed up)! Thanks so much for making this video!
That is so weird, I remember when I first stumbled onto your channel when you had about 100 videos or so and binge watching all of them from the beggining, I remember watching all of these for the first time. Wow
I only started watching you the last couple of months when you were talking about the direction that gaming is going I agree with everything that you have said so now I tend to watch your channel more often than I do others. last night I watched your draw my life and after that became a fan and I thought that it was funny that you should put up your reacting to old videos the exact same night i decided to go back and watch your old old videos myself
Make this a series, boogie! Haha Idk, but I'm kind of a new sub to you, I've heard of Francis a loooonngg time ago, but I recently subscribed to *You* so it'd be great to see you react to some older videos :)
I remember when I started off my first UA-cam with a £2 webcam and a £3 headset. Looking back now I realize how dumb that was but we have all got to start somewhere. I probably think it was daft starting with them because I use an Elgato Game Capture HD and a Blue Snowball but it's always fun looking back on old content and seeing how far you have come
"WHERE'S MY MOUNTAIN DEW?! I KEEP IT IN THE MICROWAVE." -Francis
When we all thought francis was real haha
Thatoneguy certainly not that video. it was well understood it was a character by then
Thatoneguy speak for yourself bro, was obviously a character
Thatoneguy I was surprised he didn't react to that video.
If he did he would probably laugh so hard, and say this is embarrassing

Splattrap better than anyone watching pewdiepie imo but I'm not judging, just my opinion

The D&D vid was one of of my first Boogie memories. Along with the table flip.
Cool and interesting to see some of your early work. Might end up on one of those 'Before They Were Famous' shows, you never know!
Man we loooooved the old francis voice and videos. You were perfect
***** Please do more, maybe a mini series of this. Also someone else mentioned getting Francis to react to his old videos, that's a win.
Wow
Buggy you make my day so much better I have a hard life it is and you just make my day
lad you done this Boogie. Im glad your style has changed for the better keep going your awsome.
Well Boogie you have to start somewhere. You were bold to take that step, now look how far you have come my friend. Keep doing what you're doing.
It's nice to see how far you've come, Boogie.
You will look incredible with a full white beard and hair dude
Boogie! I loved this video!! pretty neat to be able to look back and see where your life was almost 10 years ago!!!! that's so cool! Cheers man
I remember when I started off my first UA-cam with a £2 webcam and a £3 headset. Looking back now I realize how dumb that was but we have all got to start somewhere. I probably think it was daft starting with them because I use an Elgato Game Capture HD and a Blue Snowball but it's always fun looking back on old content and seeing how far you have come
This was amazing. Please do more of them. Like a whole Memory Lane series lol.
I'm so glad Boogie actually gives his genuine reactions and not some ridiculous exaggerations
I'm 26 and it was pretty funny going down memory lane. For sure made me feel old haha
