Ich gucke oft deine Videos, sehr informativ und voll mit Ideen und Struktur. Danke für Alles, dass du für die Hwoarang Gesellschaft leistest! Einfach Klasse! Mach weiter so! LG aus Bulgarien!
Thanks so much for this bro!! You're very thorough. Gonna practice and put all of this to work tonight! So many people hate Hwoarang and think he's just cheap but they don't know how difficult he is to master. Hopefully with this tutorial he'll get more respect!
Just picked up the character and this guide is a life saver. Great info on how to get started with him. I'm not much of a masher with him I played him naturally more poking and defensive now I know how to pressure and when to go for the kill with this guide. Thanks buddy !
I wish i had your Knowledge around this char, there's so much info goes through your mind but you have been on this char FOR YEARS,and that it's own puts you among the most DANGEROUS Hwoarang players i've started Hwo after the season 2 and kinda late after the update but i wish to use your Guide effectively altho the info of this Guide is Mind blowing i always watch your Videos carefully and the way you act in this game is TERRIFYING cause you know exactly where and when to step to punish your opponent, and what and how to use your Max combo DAMAGE output!By closing this i wanna THANK YOU ONCE more for your awesome KNOWLEDGE sharing! ~Much Appreciated ~
It's a great video! Very elaborate and containing almost everything you need! Your character knowledge is so inspiring, man. Hworang is very complex to play but you make it easy for us. I don't even play hworang but I really appreciate the hard work.
Thank you for this, your channel has helped me greatly with my hwoarang play! Been maining him on and off for a while now mainly cause I struggle with his game plan as it seems simple at first glance but a lot of work goes into it.
Thank you so much for the kind words and the time you put in to watch my videos, means a lot to me! Motivates me the most when it's improves other hwoarangs as well :)
I just got demoted to Fujin two days ago and decided to come back to this guide. Trying to avoid going back to Ruler ranks but this guide was inspirational.
I would say this video is mainly for those hwo players struggling to reach higher ranks maybe orange - purple ranks. Great video, must've taken ages to edit. Glad we have such dedicated hwo players out there making content 😁
@@basuka93 Im glad hwo is some what popular and has a deep fan base because now they wont dare replace him and do a josie on him. This puts me at ease knowing hwo is safe for being axed in future tekken games. Also the devs keep buffing hwo every update... They love him too 😝
Yes, i be looking at these wonderful guides, like before, hopefully i ll have enough Concentration and Motivation to Advance into this Character more deeply... thanks so much for being the best Hwoarang!!! and SHARING the wisdom! Wow!
Just wanted to say thank you: I don't use Hwoarang, but I like playing against him and this video has been really helpful to explore the match-up. Cheers!
Awesome bro before watching your video i just keep on pressuring the opponent without any purpose but now when I start to pressure i know where to land a blow❤
Nice video man. I can tell it's gonna be super helpful. My mains are eliza/alisa and have them at mighty/divine ruler but I feel I've hit a wall in ranked/personal skill. Like I know "how to play" my character but not how to play against my opponents. Anyways, the desire to learn other mstchups brought me into practice with hwoarang and man is he fun. Never realized how much depth/skill he can take. Again your video will be super helpful but man is it making me realize how much work I need to put in XD. Thank goodness people like you are there to help us newbies with the process.
Hello Mr.Basuka. I write this comment to thank you because your video help me alot to improve my hwoarang skill although I'm still green rank and sometimes I drop my rank to blue. I really appreciate video that you post for hwoarang user.
Hey thank you very much, this means a lot to me! I was there too so it makes me happy that my tutorial is helpful cause I always wanted to make tutorials that would've helped me back then. It's a hard character but I hope you'll enjoy him all the way ☺
@@basuka93 definitely helps. Called me out on lots of my mistakes that i never noticed. Especially when it came to giving out information and not taking in information.
Amazing content . First i was bullying people easily and it was soo satisfying .. then moving up rank and facing oppenent who knows the match up is horrible :O you get bodied like crazy
Two years later it's still extremely useful, thank you Basuka 👊 I always thought that the jabs were useless. And here I am, wondering why I cannot not get into purple ranks...
Any tips for keeping track of your stances? I just picked up Tekken again after playing Tekken 6 casually on the PSP years ago and the last character I used was Hwoarang but I didn’t realize how complex of a character he was until now. I’m still trying to learn the fundamentals of the game and while trying to play neutral I have a hard time keeping track of what stance I’m in and the options I have. Does it just get easier the more I play him?
Don’t worry it will get easier with time. But one important thing is to take some time and learn what moves transform into what stance. With understanding this you don’t do pressure on the fly while not knowing what you do. Also if your opponent knows where to sidestep and launches you all the time you won’t understand why you lose if you don’t know your moves and stances. I hope this makes sense 🙂
I just met a better hwoarang than me. He was exploiting three key advantages over me. He mixed up ALOT, always adjusting to my predictions and getting me frustrated about my defense. While I was predictable in my string. Second, he used throw game and mixed in up in his pressure. Was hard to break because he kept mixing throws. Third, he knew much more about frames than me and used it to his advantage. For example after rage art he kept pressure with df4, 5. Or ff3 and then a punch or a throw or a low. I want to learn from that and get better!!!
@@willjsoden it's cool if you're not basuka I just need some advice lol. I'm terrible at getting the full sprint stance switch but I'll practice more. Thank you for responding. I know one is like a double dash and the other is full sprint.
I don't understand why instead of Punch and kicks you call them these numbers...i haven't played tekken long enough to know these names for the various buttons.

May I request a RFF guide or strategy
He better yell TWAH when he hits the rahaa kick.
make sure you also try to throw your opponent with the 1, 2, 1+2 grab if opponent has strong defence,
Very important yes! Check 16:35 out for little grab tips
@@basuka93 also the back turned 2 and 1+2 throw after a wall combo is great. hard to see the grab, opponent can only guess the throwbreak
Excellent
Did they removed the tracking on LFS F+3? I remember it was hell trying to SS that move.
It still is, change timing and move with them in flamingo

Yeah same here. Playing safe also makes the few times where you go crazy even more dangerous

Watch daddykings hwaorangs though
Which one ?
I'm on PS4 controller, any tips for getting Hwo long ranged buffer combos?
Hey I don't think I understand your question correctly ^^ what u mean?
@@basuka93 the stance switch combos after screw. So the run in 3+4 into f+3

@@willjsoden yeah I've seen his vid. Guess I just need to out more time into getting it correctly
I'm on ps4 as well, I mapped 3+4 to R1 so after the dash I hit forward + R1 and without letting go of forward I hit 3.
Try that out bro
Can I also use this in T8?
Most of this yes
@@basuka93 What would you say does not apply to T8?
I want Beak Do San.....not that I crush it than...just fun character.

It’s universal fighting game language, so everyone can understand the inputs once you learned the numbers
