I got hit by nostalgia looking at that gta 4 gameplay. Used to play it on my core 2 duo e8400 with 4gb ram and no gpu. Resolution was at lowest and the textures were downgraded in the config file. I even installed a mod for no traffic at one point and i got 30fps i was literally crying.

The cpu might be old but every single game that i threw at my pc was playable like any modern game up until now im actually surprised.
I also play gta 4 with no config file with everything in medium and resolution in 800x600 60hz with shadows medium. I get upto 18-20fps and sometimes 28fps somehow in this specs 4gb ram(3.83gb usable) Intel i3 2100 3.10hz Intel 2000 (128mb vram) And yeah disks are also kinda empty

@@srr1887 I tried Far Cry 5 at 720p all low but 0.6 res scale (stable 35), GTA V at 1080p low (40 to 30), Yakuza Kiwami series at 720p Ultra (50 to 40, never below that), EDF 5 and 4.1 at Borderless 720p (30ish dipping at 20, without any input lag). Anno 2070 at 900p High (60 dipping to 30, never below that). Haven't tried others like Valorant or CSGO, y'know actual Competitive title because I'm not interested (and Internet sucked on my place) but it should runs pretty well especially for those highly-optimized title. I also run this at a single channel 2666MHz DDR4, and I'm sure Dual-Channel would be better.

You have to run the games at their intended resolutions when they launched I dont think any GTA before 4 was designed to run higher than 480p which was basically HD in the early 2000s🤣
back in 2011-2012 i used to play gta:sa a lot with the i5-2310 and 2gb of ram i didnt care about 60fps or anything i just had fun playing the game and i played the mta:sa (online version of the game) seeing this video brought me a lot of memories

Hey Kryzzp, Try these two 2 settings in the graphics. 1. Environmental Texture Quality 2. Environmental Geometry Quality. These 2 are most probably set to high change it to extreme and there is no negative impact in the game and its gonna get rid of those black spots but if you want to wait until developers fix this problem then no problem, awesome video as usual! To be Honest guys, it is actuall kind of useful, if you just play very old games. After my GPU died and now i dont wanna buy "nearly last gen" GPUs, instead using my Laptop as my main PC. i have one in an old Dell Laptop. And actually, there some cool old titles that ran pretty well @720p --- NFS Porsche, NFS U1, TES III, Gothic 1, HoMaM 4+5, Half Life 1 etc. I mean it s pathetic considering the age of the games, but there are a lot of very nice old games out there, which are kinda forgetten - without the HD 2000, i would might have forgotten them as well.

It's mostly supported. Only OpenGL doesn't work properly without some modding. I switched to Linux too with my Intel HD 2000 (i5-2500) and I like the driver support here, because I like OpenGL.

crazy, i could play gta iv on high textures, very high reflections, almost everything on max but shadows, those i would turn off, but still, the game still looked great on my old a8-3870k( i used the integrated graphics at the time) gta v the same, it was only bad for the CPU part, but i could get +30 fps all the time. (on both gta iv and v)
I played gta v on 4rth gen i5 intel hd 4400 4 gb ram and i completed gta v at 15 fps the only reason i could enjoy gta v at 15 fps is the input lag response was hetter then most games at 15 fps

You should try to find a xeon variant with igp like e3 1225 i5 or e3 1245 i7 they have better spec gpu than the consumer variants,and try to instal the drivers standalone not auto drivers form windows.

I have Intel hd 4000 and 6gb ram but I do have quite a lot of FPS in games because I use a custom OS which is atlasOS it's basically made for gaming and it doesn't use as much ram as windows 10 so it's recommended if you have bad fps

I competed GTA 4 with a GT720m on a 4gb ram laptop I3 3110m Used to get kind off same fps at all settings except very high so i played on medium settings n got 15 to 20 fps with way too many stutters but the game was really good soo i went through that pain Hopefully, after exams I gonna get a laptop with like rtx 4070 soo gonna play GTA 4 once again n GTA 5 as well which I haven't played yet
It's the resolution. On my HD2500 i find that i can play just about anything pre-2010 at 720p, easy. After 2010 it takes a hit, but many, many, many things are still playable. 1080p is a drastic increase for the chip, it's too much. 720p for life.
Hi, in games that don't require more than 4gb of vram they perform the same. In games that can use the 8gb the 8gb model will either be a bit faster or provide a smoother experience with less stuttering

San Andreas was only 25fps in certain territories, and on PC also the original release ran at 25fps unpatched due to a bug. Its actually 30fps in most territories.
On PC, San Andreas was always coded for 25FPS because Rockstar made the high IQ decision to port a beta build of the PAL/European 50Hz PS2 version which is why the port was always mediocre. Thankfully, mods like Silentpatch forced the FPS to go from 25 to 30 without hiccups or frame stuttering so it feels smooth (much better than PS2 NTSC). Granted you can always turn framelimiter off and this stops being an issue either way but 200FPS will break this game in half.
PS2 versions of original trilogy is 25 FPS locked only for the PAL versions (Europe), the NTSC versions (America) are 30 FPS locked.

I3 8130u is good its runs at like 4 the on turbo boost but something like i3 5005u is bad

old GTAs break after going beyond 30 fps. in the case of sa without enhancements the frame limiter actually locks it at 25!

On PC, San Andreas was always coded for 25FPS because Rockstar made the high IQ decision to port a beta build of the PAL/European 50Hz PS2 version which is why the port was always mediocre. Thankfully, mods like Silentpatch forced the FPS to go from 25 to 30 without hiccups or frame stuttering so it feels smooth (much better than PS2 NTSC). Granted you can always turn framelimiter off and this stops being an issue either way but 200FPS will break this game in half.

@@ammanus356 100% wrong. San Andreas on PC with framelimiter ON is 25FPS regardless of the version (US/EU) or patch you have (1.0/1.01/2.0/Steam).
