How much value is in all of this?
The 50/50 rebounds become easily his. Shot contests become blocks instead. Bad alley-oop passes are still easy. Layups become dunks. Shots that don’t look even attemptable become dunks.
All this extra stuff only he can produce that is ridiculously effective. Every play of every game.

He really hasn't been bullied by bigger guys this year. He gave Jokic quite a bit of trouble, as he did with Gobert and Towns. He held his own against Giannis-had arguably the block of the year on him, too. Only one to kind of do it is Embiid, but it was still only 16 of the 70 points that was dropped on him.
I think he is on GOAT pathway for real.

It ended up in tragedy they wasted LBJ's youth. the Spurs making sure that will not happen. With all the resources and flexibility that they have money,picks and assets. They will get all the tools that they need. They are calibrating the system making sure that wemby's talent will be maximize they will get the right pieces at the right time.

@@apex8373Yeah people kept acting like he was lying about that but he is obviously extremely strong, people were bouncing off him in Summer League lol. In Europe it was a common strategy to put small strong guys on him to prevent him from getting to the rim and that just has not worked at all this year after he put on a little bit of weight.

I honestly think that if they gave the ball to wemby in every single possession and they played him like 35+ min, the spurs would've made the playoff this year.

They wouldn’t.. they are the worst shooting team in the league and their defense goes historically bad once Wemby sits.. They have zero capable shot creators / playmakers.. Watch spurs games, teams literally leave the spurs shooters open and don’t pay any attention to them when Wemby is in the paint. Wemby could play 40 mins, he wouldn’t be able to clean up that perimeter defense. Wemby is forced to play drop because he can’t leave the paint open, but he teammates die on screens…
