Smollett showed no visible reaction as the verdict was read.

Word is what happened to Matthew Shepard was a drug deal gone wrong, but the gay community saw an opportunity to paint themselves as victims. The George Floyd case wasn't a hate crime. True, Derek Chauvin was at fault and he had no right to kneel on his neck, but it wasn't his skin color that caused him to be kneeled on. It was the fact that he wouldn't do what the cops told him to do. If he had simply done what he was told he'd be alive and well right now and likely walking free. I'm not saying a hate crime has never happened, but many of the supposed hate crimes don't have anything to do with skin color or sexual orientation.

Well, yes and no, about not getting paid. In an interview Webb said his firm is doing the case pro bono, which means he waives legal fees but still bills for “out of pocket” expenses, which can be substantial.

As the special prosecutor said "the court rarely charges for perjury, after trial", but the court should take special considerations for this creep. This guy - this guy NEEDS to be held accountable (as they say). If anyone deserves special attention in the way of further charges, this guy truly deserves it.
Or, Mike, the judge should sentence Smollett to jail time, not mere probation, taking into account the prosecutor's emphasis (at sentencing) that Smollett continually committed perjury at trial. Either way, I'm with you brother. This guy must be held accountable., as you say.

The judge in this trail was amazingly good, especially his dressing down of the convicted at the sentencing hearing, and then "respectfully denying" all requests for delaying the execution of serving time, which started immediately.

That seems a little excessive to me. For instance, lying isn’t murder, and to treat it as such isn’t doing justice.
I’ve said that every since my friends ex GF accused him of rape. He was remanded in jail for 3 month until she admitted she was mad he broke up with her. All that happened to her was she got a police caution which is basically a slap on the wrist and told not to do it again. He was facing 10 to 15 year and that’s what she should of been given.
