One particular detail that I could imagine for the updated outfit could be that her belt should have a converter so that Starlight could draw backup energy.

Homeboy can’t even convince himself it’s anything but blatant objectification of her body.
Scenes like that stir up my stomach even more than Homelander scenes. It's a different kind of menace. With Homelander, the menace is clear : he can kill you. In this scene, the menace is sneaky, muddled and quiet. It will slowly crawl under your skin, corrupt your soul, and break your spirit piece by piece if you don't fight it.
As if showing your skin was a statement of feminism or empowerment. It's all about choice, and Starlight isn't given a choice. She's forced to exhibit herself, it's modern sexism : "you must put on this dress otherwise it means you're not confident with your body, you don't want that, do you ?". The writers are spot on.

It really is too bad that Homelander cooked (literally) Madeline. Ashley was way more confident as an executive assistant. Whereas Madeline could generally control Homelander, with Ashley it's the other way round.

When Firecracker exposes her abortion of live TV and it’s supposed to be an emotional and tense scene but she looks like a mannequin. Regardless of the politics she didn’t have the facial expressions than scene was supposed to carry

Honestly it’s kinda cute, ngl I would wear that for Halloween lol. But if we are serious here, she is a Christian superhero, honestly a pretty bad costume unless she zipped it all the way up and had more sleeve length. Like imagine it goes down to her elbows and her bottoms to the knees? Honestly would look a lot better and still would have less material to work with incase it got damaged! The old suit looks much cheaper and almost cosplay-like, and the cape looks like an old tablecloth (it is homemade, after all). The new one looks more budgeted and professional, and made with stronger material, but it has a lot of open, exposed spots that could get hurt.

Well it's not like their suits are armor. Starlight can tank 50 cal rounds from a long barrel to the chest at close quarters and feel basically nothing. Supes are their own armor.

Plus The whole point of this scene is to show how controlling executives/agents are to their celebrities, something that The Boys have done multiple times to multiple characters in multiple scenes, but somehow this scene, this is the one time where the superhero has no self respect, not the Multiple times a superhero or someone from the seven glazed homelander to save their own skin, or the MULTIPLE scenes from the deep, who’s character could be chalked up to literally not having any self-respect, but no, it’s this one scene of Annie meeting her new raunchy costume, and coincidentally the self respect thing that’s always thrown towards women wearing something that men don’t like, is being thrown around in the comments under the video of this scene, strange🤔.
