This video is absolutely stunning! The background and storytelling are top-notch. The visuals and sound effects really transport you into the world of the birds and wolf. I was completely captivated by the entire video. Amazing job!
Its not Foxtail millet rather it would be Pearl Millet or Sorghum(depending on season) that are left for birds generally a small sacrificial patch so actual harvest is left relatively undisturbed.
Hallo Gunther! This was a lovely documentary to watch. My father’s family is from Bhigwan. Our agricultural land got submerged when the Ujani dam was built. The temple that was showcased - Palasdeo, is the village where my grandfather taught for years. Bhigwan is home for me, our relatives still reside there. And at Dalaj that is 10 kms away from Bhigwan - and our ancestral village. Watching this lovely village and its people from your perspective was very refreshing. I’ve grown up watching all the beautiful birds but never seen a wolf. Your documentary makes me want to explore the wilderness at Bhigwan more now. I live in Pune and I’m proud to belong to Bhigwan where my roots are. And I’m especially glad I got to watch this documentary. Congratulations on your work and looking forward to more of your stories of beautiful places and it’s wonderful people. Danke Schön!
Hey, thank you for this wonderful comment, especially from you coming from this area! Glad to hear that you liked it! Feel free to share it with your relatives! Thank you 🙏
This people are real heroes of our nation... they know the value of nature... smart way to protect nature mother and generate revenue... so called political people got 100 of acres of land but this simple guy has left 3 acres of land for birds wooow hats of to you ... such people should be explored and appreciated better then few reels makers with no social msg or no culture
Superb documentary and narration!! It feels great to be amongst the first to visit and photograph the wolves at Kadbanwadi wolf sanctuary ! Hope it gets more attention from people all over the world!
Great documentary, tells how nature can come back when we have the correct attitude, and salute to the villagers and everyone involved for this success story. Dam not only provides water, support agriculture and also to the wildlife.
Never thought that such beautiful wildlife exists near Pune, congratulations team for your efforts and sharing this very informative video with us, really inspiring and informative for us and our children to get such knowledge and awareness to respect wildlife.
Excellent Documentary. The people of this area of Bhigwan are blessed to live in harmony of the birds, wolves and foxes. I was touched when one of the formers said that they consider it sacred when the wolves and foxes visit their forms. Excellent keep up the good work. God Bless.
Excellent documentary, beautiful background score, stunning visuals. It was joyful experience to watch the footage of birds. Many thanks to you Gunthur, your team, Gaurav and other village folks for their time and and attention in creating and contributing to this documentary. Well done!!
Thank you for this well-done film on the birds and wildlife of these lands near Puna. Truly a spark of hope in an age so badly in need of this type of care.
Documentary with incredible massage and feeling & proud of all the efforts of all the people around us.. who have created belief in the minds for co-existence of wildlife with humans, with all harmony.
I am living in Pandharpur which is only 100 Kilometers from Bhigwan . I travel 1000 times near by Bhigwan but i have no idea about this wild life and diverse animals and birds are there . Very informative documentary .
Yes, typical of us. We dont know what we got until somebody from a different land comes and shows it to us. I am from Pune. I have seen all of these animals around in the wild, except hyena! Never thought there are hyenas here!
Beautiful VDO & nice narration with subtitles, Off late the wolves are now assuming the role of Apex Grasslands Predators by preying on their natural prey of Chinkaras.
Thanks for making great documentary on Bhigwan! There are many short films on youtube made by Wildlife photographers but unfortunately not so many views for them. encourage everyone to watch them as well to learn more about migratory birds in Bhigwan. Documentary is nice but i do have some reservations on filming and interview of shepherds and villagers ( my personal opinion ). Bhigwan is nice place to see around. And agree with Sandeep Nagare - this place should not become a picnic spot or commercial place and maintain as place for wildlife lovers. Thanks Gunther!
@@MrGuMac Thanks for asking honestly. Answer - I think you were inspired to show the wetlands and grasslands of Bhigwan. But the way the shepherds and villagers are filmed shows that the documentary wants to show the poor people of India and their way of life. (Could have been shot differently to fit the topic and interview)
@@ibhatkantithanks for your fast reply - ok I understand what you mean. But don’t you think it actually makes the message of the film stronger that despite them obviously being poor they feel ok with their occasional loss of goats to wolves?
Well done! Maintaining such rich ecosystem is a challenge! There are many hands arround the area came together for Conservation of This Habitat! You guys did a fabulous job! Keep up the spirit!
Hi Gunther - you will appreciate that you have NOT seen a single gun in the entire documentary, I just seen video of Wolf - Slava and youtube suggested this video in my country :) which I was never knew about. Thanks for your documentary, we will search more video in India :)
I recently watched the *Bhigwan* documentary, and it was truly amazing. I’ve witnessed Parag’s and Sameer’s journey over the years, and seeing you reach such incredible heights is inspiring. Your dedication and the effort you put into continually improving are evident in the masterpiece you’ve created. The script stands out as something unique. The interviews with local people in their native language, with subtitles, are a brilliant touch. It brings an authentic and earthy feel to the documentary, giving it a genuine local flavor. You’ve also managed to address important issues in such a thoughtful way. The cinematography is beautiful, (I guess Sameer must have contributed in this), the sounds feel very natural, and the editing is so soothing. I also loved how you didn’t stop at highlighting problems but offered solutions too. The comparison with European practices elevates the documentary to an international level, which is fantastic. The range of topics you covered is impressive, especially the platform you gave to the local people and their efforts to protect the environment while securing their livelihoods. Everything has been presented in such an organic and seamless manner. Please pass along my regards and kudos to Gunther and Sameer as well. Warm regards,
Thank you Atul for this detailed comment- very inspiring and motivating for me. A big „thank you“ also to Parag and Sameer for showing me the beauty of India!
About the good fortune thing, my guess is that the presence of wolves in the areas around farmland keeps the chinkaras and other herbivores like wild boars away which in turn protects the farmland. So the farmer's notion of "presence of the wolves increases the yeild" Probably comes from this phenomenon. This is just my guess, i may be wrong.
