- Sometimes there are pieces of lost media that are so rare that all of its contents are missing, so there's nothing viewable from it. Today let's take a look at this very lost content.

I love how the Nick executives in 1990 were like "having a mean boss is unrelatable to kids". 9 years later, the most iconic show in Nickelodeon history has a mean boss as one of the lead characters.
90s Nick had rrally dumb rules that they eventually wound up breaking anyway. Apparently they hated fourth wall jokes too, but clearly that never stuck
I wouldn’t say that Mr. Krabs was “mean” at first, his more antagonistic side didn’t become prevalent until later. In the beginning of the show’s run, he seemed to have a friendlier disposition and more often showed he really cares about SpongeBob.
@@benmalsky9834 I think he still does care, it’s just that the surreal and absurdist humor now has taken the forefront of the show.
Even just three years later Rocko had a mean boss character. I forgot his name but he was that guy at the comic shop.
@@Birtheater4545 It's something that tends to happen the longer shows go on, especially if they are comedic. Fans of The Simpsons refer to it as "Flanderization," a reference to how Ned Flanders started off as the Simpson family's yuppie neighbor who sometimes went to church to him being a full on religious nut. Most characters get "Flanderized" eventually because writers are compelled to continue to escalate a character's antics from season to season. This will happen until their core characteristics basically make up their entire personality.
Speaking of The Simpsons, recent seasons have done a great job of walking back the Flanderization of characters (including Ned Flanders) and actually developing them as characters again, proving it doesn't have to be permanent.
adding to the bit about 4kids outtakes. I heard in a panel once Eric Stuart had said an engineer would take everyone's filthy outtakes, remix them into christmas carols, and then give them out to the cast or something like that. That was another thing he said he won't release until he retires. I want to hear these so bad.
Nooooo I wanna hear Meta Knight say 'fuck'
Sounds like what Funimation used to do back in the day. Source: Jamie Marchi and Austin Tindle at Katsucon 2017
@@justinyoung109 Funnily enough I believe some of those Funimation ones got leaked a couple of years ago now

I need to hear 4kids outtakes so bad, I wonder which shows specifically has them?
Sonic the Hedgehog: Awakening was an alarm clock. If you tried to hit the snooze button, Silver's voice would play saying "it's no use!"
Saw the Carnage costume from Universal Orlando and clicked on immediately

I love that footage of the HHN event is getting more popular in the lost media community. They have SO much content that is quite literally lost to time. Very rarely will you get footage or pictures of houses, zones or events from around 2008-back. Thanks for covering Carnage!
I googled extensively when I found out there was a spider man area of HHN
I literally ever found a single picture of carnage
What
There's a perfomer dressed as a dilophosaurus human hybrid from the canceled Jurassic Park 4 at 12:18
No fr, and I learned about the Carnage house by a random chance and even if Im a pussy when it comes to haunted houses and movies, I do respect HHN for using the characters.
Uinversal at the time wanted no one to take photos or film anything in the park including shows outside certain areas. Disney only cared if you was on a fast moving ride foir health and saftey reasons.
I never thought I'd say this, but in the immortal words of a certain sea sponge...
8:48 THERE I AM GARY, THERE I AM!
LSuperSonicQ, I am absolutely ECSTATIC that you decided to feature an old discussion post of mine detailing the long lost Kirby call service from 1993 in this video! It may be lost forever, but it's super heartwarming to know that my attempt at making such obscure Kirby knowledge known has proven fruitful with time. Thank you so much for featuring me!
Oh, and since I'm indulging in one of my few hours of true internet fame at the moment, lemme plug something for your viewers real quick (if that's alright with you, of course!): if you like platformers with an emphasis on story that are easy to pick up and play, then if you haven't done so already, buy Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series! I promise you that you'll fall in love with these games just as much as I have!
I decided to partake in your suggestion and I ended up having a pretty good time. Can not believe how one-to-one they are with the originals.
HEYEAH! Love Klanoa!
Klonoa mentioned!
I love Klonoa. Nice to see someone else talk about it. The story of the first game is great, and the plot twist made me sad at the end. It's a shame they didn't follow up on it in the second game.
@@princessCashel I'd argue that Klonoa himself does overcome the sorrow he felt in the first game in a way by the end of Lunatea's Veil, helping him mature a little more as a result. It just isn't made too explicit, is all. I'll leave experiencing the twists to the people who decide to get into the series after reading my original comment though, seeing as how I feel these games should be experienced as blindly as possible and all.
In any case, great to see a bunch of fellow Klonoa fans coming out of the woodwork in the replies to my original comment. Y'all rock.
Here's a fun story that might have lost media.
When I was younger, the supermarket my family goes to used to have a giant standee for one of the Ice Age movies. This standee was a promotion with Kellogg's.
I wonder if there were any Kellogg's commercials that were tied-in with the movie promotions, and if so what Kellogg's products were involved.
Ice Age 2 had 3 gifts in Kellog's cereal packs:
Ice Lolly Makers in the shape of the characters.
Sliding toys in the shape of the characters.
Colour-changing headband or gloves.
Dan Green: "The tapes are too naughty to be released."
Also Dan Green: "CLUCK LIKE A CHICKEN!!!"

Technically ONE outtake exists for 4Kids pokemon, albeit in a bizarre form - they used James' VA mockingly saying "Leo Burnett and 4Kids are the devil" in a bitter response to some unpaid work and reversed it for a scene during a running gag when he's trapped in the mouth of his weepinbell pokemon. I remember laughing pretty hard when I heard it, and looking quickly I see it's still up on youtube.
That's still the funniest shit ever to this day
That’s Eric Stuart, he actually got in trouble for that and had to pay them for it out of his own pocket.
@@waffletoast215whilst I wouldn't be surprised and get why the punishment happened, I definitely feel bad for him - it was pretty funny and completely valid of the two of them to be upset. Honestly, it feels like foreshadowing of 4kids shuttering mainly due to not paying yu gi oh royalties
They later reused james audio from a previous episode of victorybel trying to eat james
@@Zulf85 he had a totally valid reason to complain so him having to pay for it while already not being paid for some of his work is a dick move on the company’s part. So I guess 4kids got what they deserved there.
17:45 yeah, as someone from the UK this guy is just yapping.
Cex doesn't sell LCD games or toys in general. It's just a regular second hand video game retailer.
He's probably confused it with the Go Go Crazy Bones DS game that actually is available to buy there.
LCD games are technically video games, so I'd say it's possible
Yeah I just checked it too, I work there ffs
@@RawrX32009The only LCD games I've ever seen any CEX sell are the Nintendo Game & Watch ones (both the "anniversary" ones and the originals), and that's probably only because they're made by Nintendo. Searching their website shows up nothing except for their Game & Watch section... no Tiger LCD games or anything similar like the Crazy Bones one.
I found about the Maximum Carnage thing thanks to Yesterworld's video years ago. The most likely explanation for why there's no footage/photos is because the more violent elements were only during a cast preview, where employees will go through attractions to make sure that they work properly and get any necessary feedback (like that a headless Spider-Man might not sit well with some people).
That makes a lot of sense, and yeah, i can imagine a headless Spidey in '02 wouldn't have gone over well, seeing as he kinda was THE American superhero post 9/11. HHN 2001 was interesting to read about.
@@donschoenly6018and the first Sam raimi Spider-Man movie was coming out aswell around this time so that kuhht have had something to do with it aswell

We do know some swears that were removed from Shadow the hedgehog were in pre-release material. Notably, the opening had Shadow say "What the hell was that about?" but in the final it was censored to be "What was that about?" hilariously, the lip flaps were not edited iirc, probably because this cutscene was done in CG rather than real time. There's also the fact that the blood was originally purple and red instead of the much more tame blue and green of the final version. A prototype of Shadow the Hedgehog hasn't surfaced yet. At least not when I last checked anyway, so it's possible some of the swears Jason Griffiths mentioned were in these prototypes as they were originally going for a T rating as E-10+ didn't exist. Close to the end of production, the ESRB had created E-10+ so Sega decided to tone the game down to meet the requirements for E-10+. iirc, Shadow the Hedgehog was the first game rated E-10+
This is all correct! Another notable thing that was changed was Maria’s death. It cuts right before we see her actually getting shot, whereas in the T version it shows the whole thing. I’d love for the T version of Shadow ‘05 to leak one day.
@@JordyPordy10 I'd love to see a sort of fan remake or rom hack that adds these scenes and soundbites while improving various sections of the game.
With the whole Year of Shadow thing going on it’d be cool if they released more footage of the uncensored game. Shadow is becoming even more popular now due to the 3rd movie and Sonic x shadow game coming out I think it’d be cool to know what could have been. However because of that I think it’s also likely that they’ll hide it even more since they’ll see it as ‘ruining his reputation.’ I just hope we get something one day
@@flowerzforsaturn he already ruined his reputation by being in shadow the hedgehog sonic 06 and forces. So I think we are past that at this point.

If you go to anime conventions you see a lot of outtakes like that for anime. Usually not from 4 Kids, possibly because they don't want stuff like that released with their kid friendly image, but also they usually don't go to anime conventions. I don't think they see anime as being any different than any other children's content they produce and aren't aiming for a niche of fans like that go to anime conventions, but the general children's audience.
4kids is long dead, so they don’t have to worry about holding up an image anymore, I assume. Hopefully that means we can see the outtakes from them somehow one day. But maybe the actors still want to uphold an image so I can’t blame them if they want to keep them private.
Pete is a really cool guy and is super nice! He said he was gonna be at my local con again next year so I’ll have to remember this and ask him next year.
The Marvel event at HHN was so metal. They really just said “what if all the superheroes were dead?”.
That's actually the plot of old man logan
It's pretty standard fare for comic books all things considered
I wish this series didnt exist 😭 Its sad that we will most likely never find these
I totally get that but part of me loves the idea of things we can never find, despite it being horrible
We say that now but just you wait it’s gonna just appear somehow despite it being forever lost.
@Scorbunzx Lmao yea. I've not been in this community TOO long but from what I've seen, either something gets found overtime slowly, whilst partially finding bits of it. Or it just all the sudden gets posted on the internet, with it being found in an extraordinary way
@@youne_official yeah if everyone knows that is anything to go by he he he……who just drops a banger of a song in a adult movie?!
Are we sure Sonic Awakening is a game? It could possibly be supplementary material, like a short film, which they eventually did with Unleashed. If something like that is the case, it seems way more likely that they'd have the voice actors do some lines early on
Honestly that was my thought, that it was some kind of like prologue trailer or short that for whatever reason just didn't come out
I've actually dabbled a bit in 'lost' Kirby media myself. With the help of a friend and their connections with certain people, we were able to compile the entirety of the Kirby Right Back At Ya english dub in a Google Drive folder that many have shared across the internet.
For a while, two episodes in particular - episode 70 and episode 77 - there were some audio cut-offs, so their last moments of audio weren't available. However, the full version of episode 70 was recently found and was actually preserved in high quality! There is still one last minute of english dub audio at the end of episode 77 that is still missing however. Though I hope one day someone will find it so I can compile it into my google drive folder.
Oh and in my Drive folder there are some cool bonus bits of content such as 'The Fight for the Fox Box' (a promotion of 4Kids' lineup done in the style of a massive crossover episode) and the original Kirby anime pilot.
Did you find the tv airings for dub episodes 98 and 99? Those are different compared to the fright to the finish DVD versions which have further cuts and edits. The tv airings restores these things
why you sharing it, keep it to yourself you wont get credit they wi just steal it
Thank you for doing that 😊
Yo the tv versions of dub EP 98 and 99

When you consider the Ghost Stories dub exists as it is, I can totally believe the 4Kids outtakes exist

I've been getting over a shitty stomach flu in the last few days, really glad to see an LSSQ upload in this trying time
Honestly, 4kids was always unpredictable for me. I mean, censoring anime heavily while making tmnt 2003 goes crazy. Ironic how they arguably have the darkest incarnation of the turtles.
Has anyone actually tried to question Pete himself about the Sonic Awakening game or has he been purposefully dodging them all?
Or why hasn't anyone asked some kind of Sega insider??
Part of me really hopes the Kirby phone call thing makes some headway at some point. It's silly, but I just know I would've loved something like that as a kid and it's a shame it was lost in the first place. That cute little plush/figure of Kirby with the phone is another thing I hope can maybe be found someday too. It would just be good to know it still exists.
Edit: I'm pretty interested in the Halloween Horror Nights thing too. It's a bit morbid, but I *really* want to see what caused so much controversy in the first place. Especially since Marvel has done some really dark storylines and comics with the characters. It makes me wonder if some of it is overblown since there's no solid documentation.
The Kirby call reminded me of something. In 2002 or 2003 on my birthday I got a call from "Barbie". It was probably an official thing from Mattel back then.
Nowadays there's AI programs that can have whatever character you want tell you happy birthday :P

I have a suggestion- the lost Beatles song, carnival of light. It’s a 15 minute avant garde recording predating the Beatles first official foray into avant garde music by 1 year. Paul McCartney was hired to write a song for a hippie light show which I believe went by the same name as the song. One day during the recording of the sgt peppers lonely hearts club band album, Paul and John Lennon had fifteen minutes to kill in the studio and decided to create this track, apparently with the intention of it having a spot on the album or being released under the Beatles name at some point. Upon hearing it, their producer George Martin called it a waste of time and vowed that it wouldn’t be released. The only times it’s ever been heard are at the hippie light show (obviously everyone was baked out of their minds there so no one who attended really remembers concrete details besides not liking it, and that it was supposedly played in full multiple times that night) and by certain authors writing about the Beatles recording sessions, who say it is fifteen minutes of straight guitar noodling, nonsense phrases being shouted such as “Barcelona!”, and running around the studio while screaming and cackling. It also includes John putting a pot on his head and banging it with a spoon before the song ends Paul’s reverb-drenched voice asking “can we hear it back now” (or something to that effect). It was supposed to be released on the Beatles “anthology 2” album, a compilation of previously unreleased recordings from 1965-1967. However, George Harrison shot down this idea, and it has still not been seen since. It has been confirmed that Paul McCartney has a copy and wants to release it, but hasn’t yet. Very interesting to me, especially because John is often considered to be the avant garde/artsy Beatle and Paul is considered more pop centric, hitmaker of the group, meanwhile Paul is out here making avant garde music an entire year before John was even mildly interested in it.

There’s no photos or videos I’ve been able to find besides a single backstage shot from when Alice Cooper guest started in the show one night. It’s a real interesting piece!
I posted this on the LMW forum too, but I figure I repost it here in the comments -
"Hi there! I want to thank LSSQ for reminding me about this topic in his latest video, I actually do have a minor update. (Although it's not much of one, I'm afraid.)
Rambly backstory - A few months ago I was staffed at a convention (Syracuse Collector's Con), I had the absolute honor to work with Lisa Ortiz (Amy's 4Kids VA). During that time, I took the opportunity to ask about Sonic Awakening. She told me she vaguely remembered it, and after I explained what we knew - she said she would try and ask Jason Griffith and Pete Capella. Apparently, The hedgehogs VAs are all still friends and talk regularly.
Unfortunately, she came up with nothing. None of the hedgehogs had any materials related to the game or any real recollection, beyond that they worked on it. All could recall was that it was supposed to be the "Next big Sonic game"
I didn't record the conversation, but as some form of proof I have included a couple photos I took from the event and an autograph I got from her."
(I can't attach photos cuz- well, this is UA-cam LMAO.)
I’d love to hear the 4Kids outtakes! Especially considering how notorious 4Kids is for their crazy censorship. lol
4Kids tends to only censor violence. They managed to get away with quite a bunch of innuendo and adulty bits in their dubs. Especially Ultimate Muscle and their Funky Cops dub. Wish the last one wasn't lost and replaced by a different English dub. The things they got away with. "It looks like some kind of witch's brew." "Rhymes with witch."
Blame the FCC
@@Emily-cw7tj From what I remember one of the voice actors saying somewhere, it was the Fox network who kept them in line with censorship, and it got worse once they had a new head of kid's programming. That's why the TMNT had two episodes banned completely. Insane in the Membrane (which was fully completed and was on a DVD at least) and Nightmares Recycled (never went past the storyboard).
@@mightyfilm yup I remember that too and the problems that they had to face. Kids WB didn't have nearly as many censorship issues with several of their shows though. A bit strange really.
@@Emily-cw7tj And the censorship was weirdly specific to the anime dubs. TMNT, at least until Fast Forward, got away with a lot of violence and character deaths. And it really wasn't until recently when death could even be mentioned in a kid's cartoon. I remember Ultimate Muscle being very passive aggressive about having to change a character's death to just an injury.
Yet sexual innuendos were perfectly fine. Ultimate Muscle and their dub of Funky Cops especially indulged in adult jokes.
5:25 y’all gon hate me but sayin “has extensive knowledge when it comes to 4kids” and the discord tag poppin up had me like 🤨
Last one really itched my Sonic fan side that’s been dormant for like 13 years
a mexican guy on youtube, i dont remember who, sent a dm years ago (dont remember if it was instagram or twitter) to silver's voice actor regarding awakening and his answer was "sorry cant talk about it", disappointing but hey its there
I’m not surprised 4Kids has lost dirty outtakes. Anime VAs are (with all due respect since I have met and befriended a few and they are lovely people) very dirty minded when it comes to in studio antics. In fact they used to show outtakes and even talk dirty about various shows like Sonic at conventions until the Vic Mignangnog lawsuit and covid caused studios to clean up their act a bit. I am pretty sure the outtakes for recent comedy shows like “Combatants Will Be Dispatched” are basically lost media now since Crunchyroll really don’t want those out in the world for some reason
The sonic one really is strange, most of the time people dont fake big titles like Sonic, so im wondering if he has recordings from the sessions for that game in case of an employer wanting proof of all of it?? It may never have actually hit the ground, i know a few game devs who have lines recorded before actually making the game.
My possible theory is that he started voicing a character or more for that game, the game never really made it off the game design floor, and he has copies of the lines with concept art or animations, but thats the most of what came of that game.
edit: Silver is a cool character, I wouldnt be surprised if there was a game just about Silver, but it never making it as an actual game. Once again i wouldnt be surprised if he had recorded voice lines for a game, the devs realized the game wont take off, and didnt bother to bring more voice actors in.
It is really strange, even as a fan of Silver and specifically Peter's Silver. It's possible he could've done temp voice work for Unleashed (but why would it have that codename) as Chip or that maybe Silver was cut from Unleashed after the failure of 06 but we would've known if there was voicelines left in the game. I also can believe if it was Sonic Rivals codename because that also came out in 2006 and included Silver ??
@@LocalTorchwoodIntern if it used to be Unleash, I'm assuming they decided to improve the title.
@@LocalTorchwoodIntern that sounds right as well. I guess we will never have a definite answer. After this video i then started to dive into Sonic Awakening, and oh man is this a weird topic 😭😂

I hope the 4Kids outtakes include Pokemon. I wanna hear Team Rocket say 'fuck'.
Or just have Team Rocket going completely off script and being silly 😂😂😂
I need to hear those Jason Griffith swears. All of the 4Kids stuff, really
Tbh it kinda makes sense if Sonic Awakening was the codename for sonic unleashed since the game itself does involve a hybernating spirit being awakened way too early because of eggman, but I'm just basing that on story because it doesnt explain why Silvers name was attached to it
Pete could have voiced additional characters like NPC’s.
My guess is that Sonic Awakening was either a working title for an enhanced rerelease of 06 or a miscommunication about 06. A lot of companies even today use the moniker of adding an extra subtitle to future ports of their games to signify their alteration/trying to make a second purchase of the game seem justifiable. I'm aware that 06 was intended to have both a Wii and PC version, with the Wii version becoming Secret Rings and the PC version vanishing, but who knows maybe they were planning a rerelease on PC with that title. As to why it's only on Green's resume and not anyone elses' is probably a matter of some kind of miscommunication with Sega. It was really common up until Unleashed that the English Sonic actors knew little context behind the roles they were performing for so it's entirely possible that only Green knew about Awakening and no one else did or that maybe Awakening was just a different title for 06 they gave to him in the studio and he wasn't aware that it was the same game or whatever. Do we know a lot about 06's early stages of development? Maybe Awakening was a working title for 06 or a temporary localized title for it and there was miscommunication where Green just assumed that "Sonic the Hedgehog" and "Sonic the Hedgehog: Awakening" were different games. I personally kinda doubt they were working on a new game that was scrapped right when the Silver lines were recorded but who knows.
13:57 That Picture of the Punisher goes too hard.

Really cause I have 360p quality on this right

What's funny about the first one is that the idea of an angry boss did come back about 2 decades later. Maybe not in a Nick cartoon but that idea did resurface in the form of Benson from Regular Show
I saw the HHN Carnage in the thumbnail and I had to click. Like what's goin'on there??
I had to do a double take when I saw commercial footage for Crazy Bones. Literally a couple days ago I was reminiscing over the 2007 series and how much I loved it, even watching some of the old commercials. And then suddenly I see them mentioned in a a video that will be exposed to tens of thousands. As for the lost game, I can’t say I know anything about it as I grew up with the rebooted series, but I do own the DS game and can say that it plays similarly to angry birds. So the electronic handheld game being derivative of other games isn’t that far fetched of a concept.
The 4kids outtakes is something we need to see to find out what naughty stuff is in there.
Person from the UK here, CeX is a secondhand shop, so they'll only have it in stock if someone trades it in. Usually stuff goes available online but some things might not be listed
The 4kids tapes is probably similar to that Funimation DBZ thing leaked years ago with characters making sexual or offensive jokes
Or worse. Even back in the 90s and 2000s, those kind of outtakes were so awful.
HHN-head here, just wanna let everyone know,
there is SO much lost media when it comes to haunt attractions, particularly HHN due to its houses and scarezones changing each year. There’s stuff that we’ll never have footage for, sure, but there’s also plenty of fun footage that can definitely be found (and I know this cause they used a lot of that footage for this big video edit they had for the 30th anniversary.)
Music and videos that were made for the event, but which no-one could view without being there. Leave It to Cleaver’s Meaty Meetz ad, for instance, or The Usher’s little house intros from the same year.
Imo it’s a gold mine.
I'm sure I've heard some of the shadow dialogue on here somewhere. I recall hearing lines from sonic and Knuckles saying some slightly more colourful language. Specifically sonic saying "We must have really pissed him off" I regards to the black bull fight. It might be on disc leftovers, but its wetting the appetite for the rest of the clips.
"Completely lost media" it isn't supposed to be confirmed lost forever, in the sense that the only material or copies made were erased or destroyed?
But most of this entries sound like they could possibly still exists, the 4Kids one even confirmed that copies exists somewhere.
EDIT: It turns out I confused the titles, "completely lost" only means that almost no content has survived from the media in question, not that the media is lost forever.
You're taking it too literally.
Most of the "Completely Lost" entries aren't even confirmed to be forever gone by time, Example: The Adventures of Dewey the Dolphin, Adventures in Wonderland "White Rabbits Can't jump", The Big Breakfast (lost appearance of Robot Wars team on Channel 4 breakfast show; 1998), The Graham Kennedy Show, Guitar Hero 7 (lost build of canceled rhythm game sequel; 2011).
They're marked as completely lost because **there isn't even 1% of it available to the public.** giving us nothing.
Another example: Interface is a song made by MASA back in like 2011, it was deleted and only one clip exists, there is nothing that proves it still exists anywhere but it is marked as **"Partially found"** since a 10-second clip of it exists available to the public.
in short: completely lost isn't a status given to media that doesn't exist anymore, but given to media that we know exists but we have nothing available to the public.
@@VocaloidMediaOh hey, it turns out that I confused the videos! Sorry about that
The "completely lost" in the title only means that there have not survived almost any traces of the media in question, not that it is lost forever.
It was my fault.
I want to hear Megan Hollingshead swear as Mai.
Offensive Outtakes are normal to be honest. It just 99% are never talked about even foreign countries do those, so its more than just original takes before the VAs know if it's for mature or everyone audience yet. only they've to be leaked in anonymity or third party leakers (like the guy who leaked the hannah Montana anime)
Yeah
Oh shit.... That Crazy bones handheld..... I own it. Or used to. I don't know where it is now. But yes it did indeed exist. In fact.... my family had to buy a second one because my mom and aunt would play the hell out of it and it wound up getting ran over by a car. iirc, it was indeed a tetris game. I don't remember the breakout game. I just remember the tetris one because my mom and aunt were obsessed with it. When you lost the crazy bone character cracked like an egg and made a rather loud moaning sound.
idk if this counts as lost media, but as a kid i remember watching a movie where a 1 inch tall man turned this kid's cat to stone. then the man and the kid tried to turn the cat back to normal. first they tested his powers on a spider but it just turned to dust. also the kid had the steriotypical "dad lost mom and is trying to reconnect to with the kids." also the 1 inch tall man could turn pizza stuff to peanut butter. not so sure about that last one. it was live action and i think it was on netflix for a bit but im not certain. also this was before 2018 / 2019 for sure. this probably sounds ike im drunk but i swear i saw this as a kid and its driving me crazy
Yeah and then there’s me finding a lost version of a song on accident
Which one.
Glad to see your new video LSSQ
This is just a theory, knowing noting about what searching has already been done beyond what you talk about in this video, but is it possible that "Sonic: Awakening" was a Silver-centric follow-up to '06 that was planned alongside '06, and they had contracted Pete for both to begin with, wanting to lock him in since he was voicing a new character (thus he could have pre-emptively put it on his resume) but due to '06's poor reception it was canceled before it got off the ground and Pete just never corrected it?
I do hope the HHH one is debunked. Just thinking about what those portraits would look like scared the crap out of me
14:36 Yeah that...kinda tracks with what I heard about this event...
They didn't actually show the bodies themselves...but it was definitely heavily implied...Like a blood-stained shield or a blown up helmet...
Hey Lssq I might buy that crazy bean game next week and document it in video form but I can't make any promises 😅
Saying completely lost seems like an exaggerated title
There's nothing that confirms it doesn't exist, but being realistic, the odds and research are against it, especially for the 90's.
Now, the question about those lost "naughty" tapes is: how much worse are they than the Ghost Stories dub?
Is it dbz outtakes level of worse.
I would love to hear the 4kids outtakes of their winx club dub mostly because idk that seemed interesting 🧍
Me too
I had that Crazy Bones game as a kid! I’ll need to see if I still have it somewhere, and if I do, if it still works.
I don't think we need to get the 4kids outtakes right now. No need to cancel people. It's not worth it until they all retire.
I think it’s really important
LSuperSonicQ you should talk about the Pikachu furby that never released.
Nah, 4Kids only edited shows they didn't make. Their TMNT was surprisingly dark and violent, especially when compared to what they did to anime.
Ok i gotta here theses 4kids outtake tapes
A good day when lssq uploads
To me it sounds like Sonic the Hedgehog: Awakening was either scrapped DLC or some promotional animated short that never got made, we know that a lot of content got cut from that game so it would make sense that it's just part of that stuff rather than a separate game.
Checked that Ebay listing for the LCD game. Someone has it in their cart apparently. Chances are this won't be lost for much longer.
I have looked for more footage of the Maximum Carnage event in the past because what we have is hard to make out. I remember seeing some forum posts talking about the attraction being disappointing, so that could be the real reason they never did any more Marvel stuff.
Lol I was telling my dad about the Carnage maze and asked if he ever had footage of it. Did not expect to see his video shown! He owns the Hawg Gnarly account, lots of other old mazes too.
i couldve sworn i saw somewhere pete capella describing awakening as a project that just fell through, but i have no idea what the source was. hes pretty connected with sonic fans, going to cons and talking on twitter, im sure there must be something.
supposedly, silvers name was changed during development from venice the mink to silver the hedgehog, so that if he got his own game it would appear beside the sonic games on store shelves. im not sure if this makes sonic awakening more or less likely to be a silver game (only if it was a codename would it be a silver game i think)
sonic unleashed was originally called sonic world adventure, would it have also been called another name? seems strange but not impossible.
im not convinced the thing was a unique game. a smaller project where voice actors are more relevant maybe, or perhaps just a pitch of an idea? (there werent any sonic tv shows happening at this time, seems a chance to start a spin off project)
of course when i research before the comment i cant find it but then its the first thing i find after i comment lmao.
The Silver Ace01 on yt has a video about sonic awakening where he asked pete capella about it! capella says "nothing to say unfortunately. it never happened."
i think this deconfirms the theory of mistaken credit, because he knows what they meant and says it was going to happen, and deconfirms the idea of it being unleashed. the credit is for him playing silver, so if silver was in unleashed i think thered be something in the code sooner than the va being told, or maybe unused voice lines (thats how this stuff is normally discovered) and then hed just say "oh that was silver in unleashed but that was scrapped and never happened"
Omg Crazybones! Now there's a name I never thought I'd hear pop up again! I used to own a booklet that listed the name of each character, but even then, the toys themselves were hard to find.
Nooo they shanked real life Kirby on his way home and he never made it
it's crazy how thinks could just disappear just like that
sonic the hedgehog Awakening was probably just the working title for sonic 06 or dlc that was planned but ended up scrapped
This is the first I've heard of Crazy Bones. This is also the first I've heard of there being rare LCD games.
I’ve found and screenshotted an eBay listing of another official keychain LCD Crazy Bones game, but this one looks very different. Instead of the blue regular square consol, it’s in the shape of Eggy and on the back you can play the game. It has very similar packaging.
You should cover the original Flint the Time Detective manga. I can't find it anywhere
I also made the assumption that Sonic Awakening was a working name for Sonic Unleashed, there's something about those words that made them sound similar, I can totally see a different timeline where Sonic Unleashed is named "Awakening" instead, while following the exact same story, considering the other names for sonic games, this one is the most "menacing" totally fitting for Unleash's plot.
but well, that's a huge and baseless assumption.
Sonic The Hedgehog Awakening honestly sounds like a mistake on the résumé because if nothing exists for the game why is he credited not to mention he’s the only one credited. Lastly if the game was centered around Silver then why is it called Sonic The Hedgehog Awakening? This story just doesn’t make sense to me
In regards to "Sonic: Awakening", my theory is that Pete Capella heard something about an idea for it (maybe a creative mentioned having voice Silver in passing) and used that to fudge his resume. Not a total lie, it's based on something. Just not totally real either.
For lost Media that's completely lost any aardman props lost in the 2005 warehouse fire
Wasn’t Eureeka’s Castle like partially lost? I’ve never seen anyone cover it online, but I feel like a look or shout out to the search could do wonders. I only started looking into it after I found a VHS tape of the Christmas Movie in storage, but when I went to look it up learned a lot of it was missing. It’d be cool to look into.
"all the way back in 2020" lmao
