@ispeakmucho I'm from Chicago and u did too...we were rooting for NY because culturally and physically it's the closest city to us (skyscrapers galore, yellow cabs, subway, El train, lots of Ricans, Irish, Italians, Pizza, Hot Dogs, two baseball teams, streetball culture, rooftops, high rise public housingz fire escapes), etc...But New York's hip-hop scene had a HUGE influence on us in a positive way...outside of NYC, alot of folks don't realize but Chicago has been the largest market for hip-hop, cus' LA never embraced it quite like us and we are bigger than every other city. But somehow NYV became influenced by the gangs of LA and Chicago and now it's an element that's has permeated NYC and watered down hip hip with it's culture of stupidity, crime, poverty and senseless death.
