Jake, I've been knapping about 7.5 months, people tell me im doing amazing for that amount of time. Your laconic skills amaze me. I have a of tallahatta that i am afraid to touch, but I'll get there You make alit of newnons, recently you made a corner notch with black Alabama. That impressed the hell out of me. Keep up the good work. I learn from every one of your videos. P.s. i suck at lap knapping.
Haha it’s all a process Steven. Would love to see your work sometime. I appreciate the kind words, and I typically do a mix of knapping in the hand and knapping on the pad, just takes practice!
Dear God and sweet baby Jesus, please make sure to remind me when he starts selling that heat treated coastal!!!! Amen. PS... I'm drooling over those spall flakes he just got off that jasper! If you can walk on water....
Spalling rock is still my biggest weakness. I can make usable spalls, but I still struggle with keeping the piece I wanted to have when I started. I actually like your stone to point videos. But, hell I watch Jack Crafty videos, and it's hard to find those less than hour long anymore. 😉
I’ve found the shorter videos seem to draw more attention. Just something to watch on the way home, or when you wanna relax for a bit. But spalling is a weakness for many people don’t feel bad! I’ve just been fortunate to have done it for so long it comes natural. You’ll get there

This was one of the BEST out of the group I got a long time ago. So don’t feel too bad! Every now and then I stumble across something nice lol
Great video for new and experienced knappers.
Thanks!
Looking good, see you next time:)
Sounds good!
That's gonna be a huge point
You know it lol, any ideas on what to make? I’m thinking a huge Newnan or oickwick
Thanks for sharing
My pleasure
Can you share the contact for where you got the jasper? Im a beginner knapper in GA looking for local material.
Jeff Head on Facebook!
I live in Georgia, where did you get that stuff
Just let me know when you sell the flint.
I’m sure I’ll make a post on it within a week or 2!
Would you compare knapping this to anything else?
Very similar to unheated perdenales chert from Texas, I think that’s a good comparison for this particular piece.
Ok cool thanks.
WHERE CAN I BUY GEORGE JASPER?
