5:05 - the man here told you that there are regional dialects like the Kabyle dialect, it is a dialect belonging to the Tamazight which is considered the second national language in Algeria after the Arabic
- the Kabyle dialect is spoken in the wilayas such as Tizi ouzou, Béjaïa, bouira, Boumerdes..

I like Badis, he's funny. He said that I only speak Dziriya and Takvaylit (Kabyle), but not very well with other languages like Arabic or French. lol
National languages in Algeria are Arabic and Tamazight, but almost all Algerians don't speak formal Arabic in everyday life. In fact, many understand it but do not speak it, because they have a low level of education or have never practiced it.
Dziriya, the mixture of languages, is the most spoken in Algeria and then there are millions who speak variants of the Tamazight language such as Kabyle, Chaoui, Chenoua, Tuaregs, Blidian Tamazight...etc.
But the Algerian government claims that we speak Arabic for political reasons without realizing how much it affects children's learning.
If you meet real Middle Eastern Arabs like Saudis, Kuwaitis, etc. and you speak Dziriya to them, they will find it difficult to understand what you are trying to tell them.
Maltese people have accepted their language to be a mixture of languages due to the history of the country and now they speak Maltese as their national language which is mixed with Arabic, Sicilian, Italian and a few other languages . The arrogance of our government knows no bounds.

The prices, the distance from your adopted city to Algiers...etc would be helpful to people who want to do the same traveling.
If you enter many houses in the Casbah you will find them beautiful and well maintained, but on the outside, neither the government nor the public seems to care besides some non-profit organizations.
Another Algerian government lies about the Casbah was that it was built by the Ottomans. It was built by Algerians and the Ottoman families just enjoyed the luxuries of the time that they weren't allowed to have in their home country. Just like the so-called French colonial buildings. They were built by poor Algerians who had no right to live there and French architect used modern Mauresque architecture, which means our architecture because it was developed by the mauri, an Amazigh people from centuries ago who left their footprints in Spain.
