I love Einhander! It's not only my favorite 2D shooters ever. It's my favorite game of all time! I've never got bored while I played it, because it has its great graphics for the PS1 shooters, finely-tuned music, fascinating plot, fun weapons, and amazing gameplay. The difficulty of this game is fairly challenging as well, and it's one of the shooters that has checkpoints. Kenichiro Fukui did an incredible job on composing Einhander music.

Mini boss says "Senken Sie Ihre Waffen, oder ich werde dich erschießen!" = Lower your weapons, or I'll shoot you down!
Boss says "Dies ist eine Warnung , entladen Sie alle Ihre Waffen!" = This is a warning, discharge all your weapons!
And the Enihander pilot complies. Technically.
I remember playing this game so much. Sadly I only had the demo but one night I was on my usual play through and just outta luck hit the bottom on the first boss and found the creepy city part and I was like uh what did I just do. Anyway If I could I would play this again anytime. I always liked the lightning gun.
I just feel bad for all of those poor slummies who have to live below the skyscrapers; getting airship debris running on top of their poor little Shacks and tents. Geez, these people already have enough to deal with...
I've played this game more times that I can count and never even knew about that bottom of the city part..
You just have to kill the bottom part of the midboss by using either Riot or Flash. You'll get the S. Bonus as well.
Man that nostalgia.
I certainly hope to find a copy someday.
