I'm so happy for you. I have a Catholic background. But I have studied islam in theology, and it has good solid doctrines. I only pray directly to God myself, I am very strict about not putting intermediaries between myself and God. I'm very old school, I dont pray to Jesus or Mary or anything, there is only God for me. You have done well choosing doctrines that have your values.
I was born and raised Catholic and I'm a revert to Islam alhamdulillah. Did you know that there is a chapter (surah) I'm the Quran called after the Virgin Mary (Maryam). The story of the miraculous conception of Jesus without sin and without a human father is one that spoke to me as a Catholic. Plus the story of the apparent crucifiction of Jesus ie as he was being taken to be crucified, God saved from this by swopping him with someone who looked similar to him. This made so much sense to me as, even as a child, I could not understand why God would sacrifice someone as decent and pious as Jesus. I hope that you will look into Islam more and take courage to answer the call to Islam. It will feel like coming home in sha Allah. May Allah guide you to the straight path. I studied islam for two years and when I was reading Sahih Bukhari the very dark side of Muhammed started to show itself. There is definitely Beauty in Islam I am not trying to deny that. In the Medina period he was preaching some good things. But the dark is very very dark. Ask yourself if you want to be part of a religion that preaches: •Death to anyone of sound mind who leaves the religion •Who condones slavery and sex slavery •Who requires people of other religions to submit and pay a certain tax just for thinking differently •Who requires a wife to always have sex with her husbond if he wishes •Who condones hitting your wife •Who sees ‘acting’ on homosexuality as sinfull and punishable by death •Who forbids music and art depicting living beings •Who’s prophet took a 9 year old to bed •Who condones marriage to pre pubescant girls •Whos’ prophet killed and tortured starving camel thiefs •Who ‘rewards’ men who go to paradise with hoors with giant breasts and hymens that can grow back again and again and young boys that ‘never bleeds’ •But never mentions what women get in Paradise other than being a part of their husbonds harem I could go on. And I can give you hadith evidence to all of this. Chapter 9 in the Quran is obviously also quite violent, but wrong the ‘day to day teachings’ is in hadith. Sorry sister but your reasons for leaving Judaism are extremely weak, the reason it is difficult to convert to Judaism is because Hashem created every person as they are, since they all have a mission to serve him in their own capacity, He doesn’t require all of humanity to become Jewish to serve him and as long as a nonjewish person keeps the Noahide Laws they are rewarded in the World to Come, its only if someone specifically wants to Join the Jewish people that they have that option but they must prove their sincerity since the laws are difficult to obey for someone not born into it and there is no option of leaving once you convert which will render that person an unnecessary sinner. Secondly, one can always pray to Hashem directly without invoking the merit of our departed Rabbis but it can only be advantages to reference them while praying to Hashem, indicating they are an example of the devotion we would hope to achieve in our own service to him, actually the Torah directly states one must obey the Rabbis (Deut. 17:10), Hopefully you will do Teshuva soon and return to the faith of your people.

No, Islam strictly prohibits siblings from marrying each other. I am asking this of you genuinely; have you read hadith? Please read hadith before you take your shahada. I studied islam for two years and when I was reading Sahih Bukhari the very dark side of Muhammed started to show itself.
There is definitely Beauty in Islam I am not trying to deny that. In the Medina period he was preaching some good things.
But the dark is very very dark.
Ask yourself if you want to be part of a religion that preaches:
•Death to anyone of sound mind who leaves the religion
•Who condones slavery and sex slavery
•Who requires people of other religions to submit and pay a certain tax just for thinking differently
•Who requires a wife to always have sex with her husbond if he wishes
•Who condones hitting your wife
•Who sees ‘acting’ on homosexuality as sinfull and punishable by death
•Who forbids music and art depicting living beings
•Who’s prophet took a 9 year old to bed
•Who condones marriage to pre pubescant girls
•Whos’ prophet killed and tortured starving camel thiefs
•Who ‘rewards’ men who go to paradise with hoors with giant breasts and hymens that can grow back again and again and young boys that ‘never bleeds’
•But never mentions what women get in Paradise other than being a part of their husbonds harem
I could go on.
And I can give you hadith evidence to all of this.
Chapter 9 in the Quran is obviously also quite violent, but wrong the ‘day to day teachings’ is in hadith.
Please just do your proper research of hadith yourself and not let an Imam try to ‘explain’ these before you have read them.

How beautiful. The law of preservation of religion is preserved. Jew. Christian or Muslim. It's all the same. It's about the weakness of the mind in everything related to reality. Anyone can think or believe whatever they want. The problem is when believers are offended in the name of their God and are willing to kill for it. As Einstein wrote, there is no limit to stupidity.
People will find a reason to kill each other. If not god, they will find another reason. They will kill in the name of whatever principles they live by. That is how humans function. I do not know why irreligious people refuse to umderstand this fact although most of the new world wars, including WW I & WW II, are not really involved with religion.
You need to notice this fact because that opens the possibility that the statement "If it is not for religions, more wars would have broken between humans" may be actually true.

Sorry sister but your reasons for leaving Judaism are extremely weak, the reason it is difficult to convert to Judaism is because Hashem created every person as they are, since they all have a mission to serve him in their own capacity, He doesn’t require all of humanity to become Jewish to serve him and as long as a nonjewish person keeps the Noahide Laws they are rewarded in the World to Come, its only if someone specifically wants to Join the Jewish people that they have that option but they must prove their sincerity since the laws are difficult to obey for someone not born into it and there is no option of leaving once you convert which will render that person an unnecessary sinner. Secondly, one can always pray to Hashem directly without invoking the merit of our departed Rabbis but it can only be advantages to reference them while praying to Hashem, indicating they are an example of the devotion we would hope to achieve in our own service to him, actually the Torah directly states one must obey the Rabbis (Deut. 17:10), Hopefully you will do Teshuva soon and return to the faith of your people.

No Cursing God
No Murder
No Theft
No Idol Worship
No Immorality
Setting Up Systems of Justice
According to the Torah, any nonjewish person who keeps these laws gets a portion in Heaven

Very informative sister...one other matter worthy of mention here is the difference between Islam and Judaism in relation to usury (riba). Islam forbids it totally whereas Judaism forbids a Jew from charging interest to a fellow Jew but allows it if it is to a non Jew.

That verse is talking about idols, not people.

No, Islam strictly prohibits siblings from marrying each other. The Quran outlines the prohibitions in Surah An-Nisa (4:23), where it explicitly mentions that marriage is forbidden between close blood relatives, including siblings. This is considered haram (forbidden) in Islam.
