For people in the rust belt those nuts corrode like nothing you've ever seen in very little time. It's good practice to replace them if you can before they break off or become completely rounded.
Thank you so much Peter for sharing your wisdom I've learned a lot from you my check engine light went on on my 2002 toyota Tacoma 3.4 l engine I plugged in my scanner I got the same code so bank 1 so I went to orielly I bought bank 1 and bank 2 I figured I might as well replace both since I did the work and saved a ton of money
Howdy 👋 I’m am automobile technician from Nigeria , I’ve been watching a lot of your videos and it’s helpful , I wish I can work with you so I can do super cool in my works
TY,,,,,,WOW incredible very interesting super kool ,1st class great info.,, AAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++ again great video I liked it a lot ,keep up the great work.
It will do it by itself after a set amount of drive cycles or conditions met. You might reset more than just what is intended The Toyota ECU is constantly learning driver behavior and adapting trims over time
Just got back from O’reilleys after getting a code P0133 on a 96’ 4runner….hoping I can just put the cat converter cleaner in and get it cleared to pass smog !!
Maybe you can recommend she get one of those cat shield plates or if she is a student or fixed/limited income, can weld some short lengths of rebar to prevent removal of the cat since it is above the ground and high. However, it is an old car, they usually want the new lower polluting vehicle. Less dirty precious metals..
Those oxygen sensors on vehicles are like the capacitor in your air conditioning condenser unit in your back yard. They WILL eventually fail from exposure to heat. But when the capacitor fails in your AC unit, the unit won't run, since either the fan motor or compressor motor won't run with a bad capacitor. Bad capacitors are the cause of 90% of 'not cooling' calls for central air conditioners and heat pumps. You can change those yourself, and save at least $100. I keep a spare one on hand, since you don't want to be without AC in 70% humidity and 94 degrees on the Louisiana coast. Peter will never have that problem in northern California, with that cold water current from Alaska to keep him cool. Without that cold current California would be a hot desert with a LOT fewer residents. LA would be 108 instead of 78 during the summer. No Hollywood there. Probably no Silicon Valley either. We have the hot Gulf Stream bringing warm water north from the Caribbean Sea, along with hurricanes. Too bad it doesn't work to warm us up during the winter. It keeps the UK & northern Europe from icing over though. It ever shuts down, and the UK turns into Greenland. The US might become a big desert too, with a lot less moisture coming up from the Gulf during the summer months.
Same here,Had the P0133 years ago and cleaned with MEK and blew air through the holes,Code or check engine never came back.Used Jetlube Nikal pure nickel 2600 deg F anti seize on bolts and nuts and gasket surface.
Maybe you can run the vehicle a little bit so that PB blaster can burn off. People who do this themselves should know some smoke from the oil will be normal as the exhaust heats and burns it away.
What's even more shocking is how wildly inaccurate they are with giving you solutions to repair it. It's a parts cannon list. I had a family member go because I could not diagnose it in person. And they suggested many things. Funny enough I have an advertisement right now from the place I bought the repair part from. RockAuto.
Always enjoy your content, you have a calm yet analytical voice and approach, keep these repair videos coming.
Pete is a smart cream puff!
Petr, Congratulations to your customer for finally jumping on the Toyota bandwagon - better late than never! 😁

Why didn't you remove EFI fuse or disconnect battery to reset the fuel trims?

Hi Petr I noticed your Park Tool bike repair stands in the background. Please share with us your interest in cycling!
This is his video about his bike ua-cam.com/video/lZtcthVgysU/v-deo.html
I have the same problem, I am not sure the problem is fixed because once the car goes into the closed loop the codes come back.
Can't go wrong with a 4Runner
Is there any chance that you might show us how to change the coolant on a 2019 or newer Corolla with the 2.0 L Dynamic Force engine? Thanks.
