  • I have only used Fae Mulchers on my excavators up to this point but always looking to try something new when I feel I see a good product. Let’s see how this works and holds up.

    You are very good at handling heavy equipment! Love watching you do so!! That new mulcher seems to be a powerful one for sure!! I was going to ask about encountering big rocks…. But you answered that one for me. That has to be a disappointment when that occurs! Keep up the good work. I never get enough of you and your channel!!! Best to you and yours! 👍🏻👊💙

    Just a thought because I liked hearing the information about the juniper challenges and features.......can you please chat and educate us on the benefits of cutting this way and/or cutting down trees. (I understand some of the benefits of cutting down a tree....more light to the floor, damaged tree.....but is there more?) As someone not in the field at all, it's fun to learn fun facts. (compared to the negative feeling from some anti-tree cutting people) Thanks for considering!

      some ideas....
      -What trees are challenging to remove and why?
      -What goes into your thought process before removing a large tree?
      -When everything is covered with wild grass and brush, how do you calculate if there are dangerous items like boulders?
      -When making a road, what goes into your considerations for placement and design?
      -What kind of schooling did you take for this profession? Do you have to learn about all the types of trees or mainly about how to run the machines?
      -What are some unexpected dangers and challenges of your industry?
      -How physically taxing is this career? What aches at the end of a day?
      Just some curious questions and ideas......thanks!

    Awsome set up and amazing mulching tool , One Question though .... Shurly If you takle the larger and harder / hardier wood shrubs and the stronger small tree's with this then won't you run the risk of getting through the blades / claws much faster on tuffer greenery and so have to replace these cutting claws more regular ? ?

    You're not getting enough flow that drum mower should have a distinct hum. If the machine is going to be dedicated mower crank it up. It looks like a belt driven mower like a Denis. The mower setting on the machine might be set up for a US Mower flail drum. The mower you got there should really throw the chips with the door open. The company I worked for we did a lot of mowing KX80-4 with a Denis mower. I did more of the maintenance and hauling the machine to the different BC Hydro right of ways. The boss was the worst for finding rocks. I'd put on a new set of knives, cimaf teeth are grossly expensive. Along with their special bolts.

    • @workplaytv
      @workplaytv  2 роки тому

      The hum comes from the variable speed motor typically. The hum tends to come from back pressure

    • @Graveltrucking
      @Graveltrucking 2 роки тому

      @@workplaytv I mean the whirl noise from the drum. A knife drum like you have you should hear it spin up. When I watched your video it didn't sound like the mower was at full rpm.

      @osma-mulchingequipmentnort8066 2 роки тому

      Hi Guys. The Osma units in General don't have that noise you are looking for. Mainly because we use a different belt. Very quiet unit. Excavator and Skid steer mulcher. Never compare noises with other machines. A Cummins Diesel still sounds different then a Cat or deere.

      superdutybomb, All good points you make. I agree buying American made would be ideal. But what does that mean anymore? Every company mixes and matches parts sourced from Japan, South Korea, Germany, America, Mexico, China. Sany puts Japanese Yanmar engines in their smaller excavators, Kawasaki pumps, I think Korean tracks, and some of them are made in Peachtree City Georgia. I'm in Atlanta, and Bobcat, Cat, Takeuchi, John Deere, Komatsu, everyone is sold out. And all those companies mix and match parts made partially in China, I think. So, it's complicated.
