    Excavator with Fecon FMX 36 Mulcher. Mounted on a Yanmar Vio 80 excavator. Here we are clearing brush from around a house that has not been maintained. With the excavator we are able to work with precision around an old fence.

    Hey Todd, I subscribed again. Its been two years. I unsubscribed because I had a heart transplant and couldn't let myself get my hopes up of returning to dirt work. Well tomorrow I start a new job excavating. Ill be buying my own equipment one day soon. Glad to be back watching your channel... I asked about your tattoos on a live show you had and you said time and your daughter I think were your interest and inspiration. blessings and glad your around still.

    My last project was cleaning up a 5 acre lot where the homeowner had the trees mulched and then the mulch spread over the entire lot. He decided he didn't want that any more. I spent 5 days cleaning up the mulch. The mulch had to go in a dumpster. I think we filled 7 or 8 30 yard dumpsters. It was a ton of work. After that job I am now an anti-mulcher!!!! lol Cool tune right there in the middle of the video btw. Keep diggin Todd!!

    Most of these utube guys get all offended if you ask what they charge as if its some top secret thing. You got the balls and confidence in what you do to be right up front with it. That's got my respect! Do you prefer knives or carbide teeth? Great work! 👍

    • @DigginLife21

      Mike Kopie knives all day long. They do the best job. However, if I was working ground with a lot of rock I would lean more toward carbide.

      Agreed. Todd is the first one I've heard mention price. That's because he's straight up and doesn't try to hoodoo anyone. People appreciate honesty and openness.... My prediction is Todd will be much more successful in business that a lot of these other "UA-cam mulching stars". As always, great video, Todd!

    Todd , You are the man . Thanks for your honesty and sharing your profession. Who knows one might be in the picture for me ond day . I'm in Hawaii and I think mulching would be a great side to add .

  • @DaleDirt
    @DaleDirt 4 роки тому +2

    I think your prices are very fair . When you add up a $20,000 attachment , a trailor , a truck , a cdl license , tax , tags , insurance ... even at that you have to keep things moving . Over here it cost $400 a day to RENT a chipper shredder ..... If you account for the difference in looks and curb appeal for that property , that guy just added about $20,000 to his property value .

    Great job. I hope they pay you to get the fence out and finish it up. I would love to see the entire property after you have had a chance to do a complete job. Have a great day. Glad to see you back. Hope you had a great vacation.

    I love your content and really appreciate the tutorial. I'm a big fan of Upstate Brush Control who run the same head on a skid steerer. Skid steerer vs excavator. I guess it's whatever is the right tool for the job. Skid steerer seems to finish better but you have the reach. Although if I'm an arborist I'm not sure I could approve those dead limbs left in those pines. Haha great video.

    Hi, at this date I know you took all the signage off the yanmar, but what size is “big yeller”? And the weight? I’m looking and hoping to get into the brush mulching as extra income after I retire. I love your patience and help with getting other to get started into this. Back in Louisiana, I probably can’t charge what you charge in your area but I’m not looking to get rich!! Thanks so much again!! Bobby

    • @DigginLife21
      @DigginLife21  4 роки тому +1

      Everforex Canada the smaller one is a “case drain”. The head has a pressure relief when you hit something too hard. That line is where the fluid is diverted to

    Awesome video, do you feel I could run a VIO-55 with the smaller fecon head? Some of the customers I’m going after have smaller yards. Also, I have a 1 ton Ford and trying not to upgrade truck.
    Is the head variable torque? FAE seems to have a cool little head, as does Torrent. The Fecon looks to be a great product as well. Thanks for the help!

    • @DigginLife21
      @DigginLife21  4 роки тому +1

      It’ll usually just chip the tooth a little bit. If I hit a big rock really solid I’ll stop and check the teeth. Most times I can sharpen with my grinder. If the damage is severe I just change the tooth out

    Too much editing ruins videos.
    Music ruins construction videos.
    Lots of people want to feel like they are there in person watching something being done. Not with a bunch of editing and camera tricks.
