Big shout out for Hope Mill Theatre - loved the enthusiasm of this show, its innovative, intimate, professional, warm and cosy and deserves all the support it earns.
This theater seems super cute & would be a fun place to see a show. I love smaller venues in general because you don't have to worry as much about seating as much & can just go (for at most times a very reasonable price point) enjoy a nice evening out. I also just LOVE projecting the cast names during bows for that little extra touch of props to the fantastic talent you just saw.
Southampton Mayflower has a wealth of shows and near station as well. Also MAST Southampton has smaller shows and some new shows or developing shows passing through, plus comedy .. always worth a look. I also enjoy Richmond Theatre (Surrey) and The Orange Tree (also Richmond Surrey) for independent productions.
I don't know if I like the credits projected at the curtain call. I know the current Sunset does it. If we keep trying to make theatre like film....???

Come to the Dear Evan Hansen premiere at Nottingham Playhouse next year, we have trams!
Nottingham has 2 theatres and many trams 🚋 x
You really should see the film, if only for the incredible work of Patrick Swayze.
