The last girl with her thick, beautiful, natural hair would need at least 3 boxes of that dye (or use professional color). It's not the dye's fault and you can't sue anyone if you don't saturate your hair 😂
@@angelaaaanacondaa1616that's what I was thinking. She needed to get a hair dye meant for her type of hair. There's hair dyes specifically for African American hair. It probably wouldn't have turned out any blonder, but it may have turned out better.

Follow the instructions and you wouldn’t have this situation in the first place!!!!
I've been thinking about why was the color so much stronger and almost a match on the box when coloring in the 80s and 90s, and you just explained it, HairBuddha. It was very damaging, too. My hair would be fried most of the time, and limp. I used to go red and auburn.

Unless you pay $200 for them not to listen to you and three days later your hair turns orange. Then a box of medium brown is a great idea. Simple fixes at home are fine, leave exotic colors and blonde to the professionals.
Colorista is the most confusing semi-permanent hair dye in the world. It makes it seem like it works on dark hair (which a lot of hair dyes do when they are dark/pigmented enough, basically giving brown hair a tint). Then, in the instructions, it says that you do have to bleach your hair to get dark blue/ dark purple/ red? But they advertise it as if it would work on brown hair too. I can also never tell which ones are semi-permanent or demi-permanent, which ones are essentially bleach and which ones are toners instead of hair dye.
I've watched so many Hair Buddha and Brad Mondo videos that I can actually pick out the mistakes before they point them out. I'm practically a hairdresser now. (Kidding)

I stopped using box dye as I was told it has so many hash chemical’s in them, which dries your hair out so much, which it always did. I was told those at the salon were much better and don’t dry your hair out as much. Again I had it done at the salon, and my hair felt so much nicer afterwards. Also at least when you have it done by a salon, you know they will have enough dye to cover your hair. With box dye, you have to buy more just in case you run out, and you don’t have all that mess afterwards. I can understand why people do it at home, as salon prices are so expensive. I’m now just embracing my natural grey hair. Got fed up having to have it redone every few weeks.

Why is it that as humans it’s imperative we learn the hard way. I’ve screwed up before, we’ve all tried it! Yet, as I’ve said before, when the cameras go off these people are truly devastated. They must be, who wants hair that people will stare at. 🧐
Hi can you possibly do a video on how to cover grey hair? I have dark brown hair and my roots by my hair line are grey. When I dye sometimes it turns a brassy orange brown. Sometimes the grey is hard to dye. I don’t color or damage my hair but I need to begin taking better care.
Until I started watching you I didn’t understand anything about dye either. I had a hairdresser ruin my hair. I wanted blue highlights and blue underneath. It came out turquoise. She must have been a new hairdresser because when I asked her to fix it she dyed it black and then did the blonde again. It came out turquoise again of course and quickly faded to the witch from wizard of oz ugly green.Long story short I have a new hairdresser that knows what she’s doing. I have blonde highlights on brown hair. Little by little it’s getting better. You can imagine the damage 😢
She could have toned with a semi permanent toner, with a purple hue (the first woman). Instead of putting box dye with peroxide on the hair again. And the ends could do just with a toning shampoo. Color wheels are always there to help.
What you said at the end happened to me 10 years ago. At the salon the hairdresser showed me the colour samples, I chose one and she used that one, despite me telling her that she had to consider my base. Of course the result was not what I asked... She apologized and gave me just a 10% discount 😳 I was a very unhappy customer... Never went there again. She must have missed some days when attending Hairdresser School, probably the week when they were teaching colouring!!
The last girl faked the whole thing. She just put her hair in a ponytail, sprayed a bit of water on the ends and called it a dye fail. Look at her gloves, no staining or left over dye. Even if she had just washed them, there would at least be some moisture inside the gloves. The inside of your gloves is always wet after use! Her gloves were perfectly dry and not sticking to her hands at all and they're the kind that would. The other kind of gloves with powder in them is thicker and milky, not the clear thin plastic of her gloves.
That explains why I remember colouring my hair with a box colour 15 years ago and being able to go brighter than I can now 🤔 I thought I was just imagining things 😂 I’m not even that old either, I’m 33 this year.
The girl who wanted blond and wanted to sue also said she died it black 2yrs before with the same brand of dye. That caramel color is not achievable with box dye.
Last girl faked it. Hair is dry all the time. Gloves are dry all the time, not wet stains inside (of sweating) or outside. No stains of water oder color anywhere. The cloth is dry. No wet stains. There hair looks different because of the lightning in the bathroom. She probably faked it for fame on a show, or to become a part of fail videos, to get more clicks.
Only just managing to watch these again, not a slight on the magnificent Hair Buddha or these videos, just a bit fragile around anything to do with hair in general. I am starting Week 6 of my hair falling out due to long Covid :-(. I am trying to raise awareness of it as it does not seem to be publicised a lot and I have been left to "get on with it as there is no help available". I used box bleach twice a couple of months apart to lighten my dark brown hair. Wasn’t bothered about the colour, the first strawberry blond colour was the best, but my temples are grey already (age) so I had to go light. I just did my last bleach (about 6 months later) and used powder bleach and developer (only 20 volume) and it’s absolutely the right colour now. I got to deep condition etc. In between bleaches. I’m going to have to keep up with the roots every couple of months now, but after a cut, it’s in really good condition already, only a week after bleaching. My point is, the box bleach worked, but the powder and developer left my hair in much better condition, my hair (and curls) recovered in less than a week.
Honestly colorista box bleached was the best bleach I have ever used. My hair is very dark and it never gets lighter than orange. Even the powder+developer professional stuff doesn't go pass orange. But with the colorista bleach my hair turned out a very light blonde and the hair was still healthy. My daughter (17) wanted hair like ladybug. She has brown hair (no other colors) and the box showed, that will work, so we buy the color (I changed my colors since I was 15 and no problems). But at last there was no color, no blue no black, don't even parts on the skin (we know, it can look I little different, but nothing changes?! ) . I feel like the girl using blue black didn’t comprehend the blue part .
My daughter (17) wanted hair like ladybug. She has brown hair (no other colors) and the box showed, that will work, so we buy the color (I changed my colors since I was 15 and no problems). But at last there was no color, no blue no black, don't even parts on the skin (we know, it can look I little different, but nothing changes?! ) . I've heard the problem with this product from some other girls. What is the reason? By the way, my daughter have green hair now, ladybug is child's stuff 😁
I had to lol 😆. Didn't know of ladybug so i thought you meant red hair with black spots 🐞 😂. Then i figured that couldn't be it so i googled it 😂. Thanks for the laugh tho, maybe my stupidity returns the favour 🐞
I was gonna say don't overlap too much on the blond ends 😮😮😮
She could use T 18 lol 😂
The third girl didn't apply anything on her head. Her globes looked clean and her hair wasn't even wet.
Who doesn’t love tie dyed hair?????
The last girl, one box definitely wasn’t enough for all that hair
