I recently moved here from Boca Raton. I purchased in one of the new subdivisions and enjoy it very much. It’s a breath of fresh air with more open space. Although I am NYC born and raised, I like the small town feel of Tradition. Yes, I pay HOA fees… as well as the monthly assessment for living within the Tradition community. But, for me it’s money well spent. I enjoy living in a community that is well maintained and safe. Quite honestly, Tradition is/was my only consideration for PSL. It is growing, and prices are going up. So, if you are planning on moving here… I suggest you make that decision quickly. I look forward to the development of this community and what they have planned.
Thank you, this was a very good list, because you mention things that no one else is mentioning. I'm tired of the other videos saying "great beaches". Well, everywhere has great beaches. Your video mentions that nuclear power plant, growth rate, crime level, and other things that other videos won't talk about. So, a very big thank you!
I would say that the Power Plant is one of the biggest pros. With Hurricanes and how the economy and energy is going on today, is good to have it right there.
Me and my wife are looking into moving to Florida in the next month or two. Port St. Lucie is where we are primarily looking at. Thanks for the great video
First of all, love your name (it’s my daughter’s name also), and like the fact that you are honest with what possible future residents can expect. We don’t see any alligators in California. Port St LUCIE seems like a very nice little city. What are the hurricanes like in that area? Is it prone to flooding? Thanks again!
Love the name too! My mama has good taste, lol. When it comes to hurricanes we can always be in some part of the path or have some effects from it. However, PSL has not had a hurricane officially hit since 2004 and 2005- Jeanne and Frances. I have a video on the weather in Florida vs the Treasure Coast. Check it out here ua-cam.com/video/Hrdzw7sN9v4/v-deo.html
High schools "B" grades for the most part as of a few weeks ago when I last checked online. Many things to do for teens and adults. Movies, arcades, bowling, trampoline parks, etc. Plenty of activities also from the city and local businesses.
Thanks for this list. I am surprised that the power plant is not more widely known to be a NUCLEAR power plant (even the signs leave out that important word). Seems like people need to be aware of how close they are to the plant in case there's an emergency.
Very difficult to compare because standards are different and how each state rate their schools vary drastically. I do try in some videos such as St. Lucie West (SLW) or Jensen Beach. Usually in consultations I can go more in depth with my clients about school grades and districts.
I have a video on that! Check out my channel and search for the weather in FL yearlong. I talk about Florida in general and narrow it down to the Treasure Coast. All your questions should be answered.
@@robinbee7799 I saw the sign probably three or four years ago. If you're going down citrus towards Palm City from Port St Lucie, make a left on Martin highway and it should be on the right right after the bridge after the turnpike. They were having problems with the residents in the area not wanting it there so I'm not sure if they built it.
Good question! I know their are plenty of singles in town. Friends from my church, many are single and they love it here. I have not heard of any complaints but I can't truly speak on the "single life" here... sorry if it's not much help.
I am not familiar with special education. However, I have experience with how responsive St. Lucie School District is via email. Try this email...not sure if it is the correct one, but I am sure they can guide you further... dawn.averyt@stlucieschools.org
I am nowhere ready yet. I may move to port st Lucie via a helpful friend. But what I'd really live to find is possibly a rent to own cottage with a little yard. Not to far from beach or walking trails. Could be in Lucie if I like it, or stuart or Jensen Beach. However I have to say. I am not financially ready yet and if I am in port st lucie it will be by Oct 1st 2021. Then I am going to explore. You make very nice helpful videos. Much success to you.
Lack of quality paying jobs to afford these Single Family Homes unless like most are commuting to West Palm or Ft Lauderdale 60 to 90 miles away like many here have done for years. Traffic is beyond comprehension. Dig deep and do your research.
Thank god someone asked a question about how is it living in Lucy..as a single person…because I think people with kids and family are always TOTALLY OBLIVIOUS to the fact that there are also single hard working and happy SINGLE folks out there as well who would also like to hear the information as it relates to them as well🙄🙄🙄🙄after all we are the ones paying the taxes for schools for kids ….that we DON’T have.
I totally would love to learn more about how singles or those without children think the lifestyle is here. I work with clients that are retired, no children, and they love it. Lots to do for them. Not too sure about young single life though.
Highest property taxes in the state of Florida. Traffic is unbelievable and getting worse every single day. So much road noise-- hot rods, etc. Huge number of illegal aliens living here in PSL. Go to the mall and you will see literally hundreds of them. We can't wait to move out of PSL. I've lived here for almost 20 years and the changes to PSL have NOT been positive. House values are insane and will crash in the coming years. Wages are not even close to supporting the wild valuations of tiny houses with huge fees, insurance, and taxes attached.
haha... I definitely know how I made plenty of grammar mistakes and will continue to do so. Not easy being on camera. Let alone, this is probably one of my first videos. It is scary to be in front of the camera. So, I guess I can thank you for watching :-)

How awesome to learn! Thanks for the commenting. Good luck on your house/location hunt!
We’re relocating to the PGA Verano from Maryland in 12 days. The Tradition community is awesome
Congrats! You are going to love it! Having a client close on a home there. Kolter is on point!

Great suggestion! Will do!
Great insight...thanks! Some realtors don't talk about the negatives.
So true! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the video, great job
Glad you liked it!
Thank you my family will be relocating there in September
Good luck!

How are the high schools? Are there things to do for teens and active adults (movie theaters, skating rinks, arcades, bowling alleys)?
High schools "B" grades for the most part as of a few weeks ago when I last checked online. Many things to do for teens and adults. Movies, arcades, bowling, trampoline parks, etc. Plenty of activities also from the city and local businesses.
No Whole Foods. Do a Pros and Cons for Living in a community vs a neighborhood.
Good suggestion. Thanks!

People know... but no issues, therefore people are complacent with it
Lack of clubs is a pro in my book. Not to mention, that same lack of clubs directly ties into the ridiculously low crime rate pro of PSL.
I am with you about lack of clubs. I am also happy the crime rate is still relatively low.
The biggest night club is WAWA lol
Port St.Lucie sounds like my kind of place. I hated Ft. Lauderdale and St. Augustine. Port St. Lucie is right in between.
Exactly!!! It is a good balance of small city.
Which are the best gated community in the area? And how much is the avg rent for 2bk apartments?

You did not talk about the school districts and how the rate compared to the rest of the state or nation.

Hello Natalia - great videos, how about if you are a baseball fan to have the NY Mets in PSL has to be a good thing!
Absolutely! I do speak of Clover Stadium and the games in other videos... highly recommend going and seeing the local team also! It is fun!
Hi Natalia thank you for your information. Could you please let me know what the weather like over there? . Is there any disaster there. Thanks
I have a video on that! Check out my channel and search for the weather in FL yearlong. I talk about Florida in general and narrow it down to the Treasure Coast. All your questions should be answered.
Are there condos for sale close to (within walking distance) of the METS?
There are very few around. Very hard to come by.
We need a Costco!!
I was a Costco girl before Sam's... at least there are 2 Sam's in PSL.
I don’t think there’s any Comparison between Costco and Sam’s. I have a Sam’s membership and a Costco. I much prefer Costco.
@@robinbee7799 Palm City might be getting one. If you don't know where Palm City is it's probably about 20 minute drive from Port St Lucie

Not too many around these parts. It is nothing like South Florida when it comes to the numbers of gays.
