DSOT my favorite, seems like all try hard, no fluff haha. Then there is Rachel on back up vocals haha. I am bias towards the sports coat and longer hair too lololol. Just got this on blueray for fathers day and im just happy to not need UA-cam to watch this concert anymore. All I need is Pulse and my Gilmour collection is complete.
Delicate and pulse are both masterpieces. However, this is the absolute greatest tone and solo ever recorded. A dark room, no video, some 🍄 and you have an unforgettable experience.

The Pulse version is best. It had a lackluster section edited out of it for the video. The unedited version is out there still i think. Great job on this though. Thanks.

David always plays the first solo the same as the record. There's no difference between Gdansk, Pulse etc with the first solo.

Wish he would have put this much intensity in the reunion concert in 2005. That was a pretty plain version. I like the Delicate Sound of Thunder version the best. Pulse was slowed down for some reason. Both versions have killer solos. It is probably the most popular and well-known solo of all time.
I think they wanted to do the original there because of the time limit
@mustyguitar That might have been why. Just listened to the delicate sound of thunder version last night, and they slowed it down also. Was thinking it was the original speed. Don't really like the slowed version but the solo was awesome as usual.
It's a conflicting question, but I never consider the Pompeii version as the best. Pulse version or the Live 8 version. You should try and make a cover of the Live 8 version😊🎸

Epic playing! Pompeii tone is better but it doesn't have the dive bombs that Pulse has hich is the ultimate ending for the solo. What do you think of my cover?!
He used the black Strat with the Texas Specials pickups not the Red Strat with the EMGs. Other than that great cover.
Why didn't you use passive pickups like David used to in Pompeii?
